Ok will do, thanks for the help man
No problem. Apparently some have said that you can ask the Consular Officer to update the DS-260 at the time of interview if you need it. So I wouldn't worry if they cannot reopen the DS-260 for you before the interview.
However, if you do not have an updated I-864 with updated 2019 transcripts with you or updated beforehand, you WILL get a 221g, delaying your visa. Or if you do not have a I-864A uploaded (only for applicants with joint sponsors), you WILL also get a 221g. This is going by experiences on facebook NVC process page.
Good luck and please share your experience with us when you're done with you interview!

Ok thanks, did you have to do all this too before your interview? All these last minute things are stressing me out.. we only have 5 days before our interview. I will just hope for the best
I would worry most about updating And uploading the I-864 and your 2019 tax transcripts to CEAC.

Ok, when you say don't pay attention to expiry date for DS-260, I submitted it on December 2019, so does it mean it's expired already? Also does this mean I don't need to touch the i 864 form, and I should just bring my tax transcripts? 2019 transcript is already submitted on ceac
Yes, the DS-260 should be filled out again if it has been over a year since submission. This is what people on Facebook group are saying.
If you are submitting your 2019 taxes, you will also need to resubmit an updates I-864.

Did anyone here have to resubmit their DS -260 Form before interview (Apparently it expires in 1 year)? Also should I update my i 864 document with latest tax information (2019 & 2020) ? Or just leave it and bring all tax forms to interview
I believe quite a few people on the NVC Process Facebook group did. First check to see when you submitted the DS-260 application form on the CEAC website. Don't pay attention to the Expiry date on the form (It will say 2022), you need to see when you submitted it.
Then email support@ustraveldocs.com with a PDF copy of your interview letter.
And yes, submit 2019 tax transcript online AND bring to the interview. For 2020, you may submit if your interview is after April 15th.

oh awesome, did they tell you after the interview that it was approved and it would take a week to receive the Visa? Asking because we need to book flights before Ramadan but not sure if we should wait until Visa is in hand, or do it right after the interview
Yes, you know when they take your passport and tell you. They don’t tell you when you expect it.
However, some people go into Administrative Processing and may take longer to get their visa.
Don’t book your flights until visa is in hand.

Hey congrats on the Visa approval, how long did it take for you guys to receive the Visa in hand after the interview?
It was very quick, something like 5-6 working days.

Hey! your predictions end up being right somehow every month. Any idea how much will they cover next month?
Not always, lol. Just right this time round. I think they are speeding up things to catch up to the back log. I expect them to do 5-6 weeks (or more) of DQ dates every month from now on until they are caught up.

No, apparently they have issued interview letters till 2nd June.
I appreciate you'll for the motivation but I know they are hopeless.
If I missed the day of my baby's delivery, then IL comes next month or next year it doesn't matter.
Sorry to hear that.
It’s very tough to miss your baby’s birth. Hope things go quickly for you, there is still some chance that things speed up. Praying for you and your family. -

Hopefully, but there's no mentioning of addressing the visa backlogs, sadly. So many people are waiting for that.
Backlogs have to be addressed at some pointC otherwise the dates will keep getting delayed into oblivion. I have written to my congressman on the behalf of users here (though we are already received the visa), I urge others to do the same.

When can we expect more interview letters to be sent out? We have a July 23 DQ and are losing hope of hearing anything anytime soon at this rate...
They will send out interviews on or around Feb 16th. Honestly I think we will see a substantial movement in the backlogs. I’m expecting all of May DQs through mid June. You should expect your letter to go out earliest in mid-March or latest in Mid-April.

Their pace in dec was fine. They covered almost all of april dqs. We have to see what their number of aprrovals are in jan and feb becoz that's when they only used teo weeks for interviews
Yes, but I see the frustration that they took one month for most of April DQ’s and then three months for May DQ’s. It’s just bad luck, but things are changing for the better with the new administration.

Think about it this way. Just one more month and yours is next. You could start preparing for it from now. You could even get the medical done in feb before interview letter comes becoz you will be next.
Please keep us updated here when you recieve anything
Indeed, whether you get the notification tomorrow or three weeks from now, your interview date will be first week of March. It won’t affect your interview date or your interview approval.

I really really hope so! But I think they have had their 10 days covered for this month already. Didn't they send out IL to people who were DQ's from May 8 - May 18th?
May 8th was covered in December I believe, they only covered May 11th - 18th this month. Last month was April 27th - May 8th.

This has been such a ridiculous journey, since December I m hoping to hear something and the speed they are working on is unbelievable even though they are aware of the fact they have to cover alot still. The way they are distributing interview dates makes no logic, they gave Feb 10- Feb 22nd for May 11- May 15. And then they gave Feb 22nd-24rth for May 16-18. This makes no sense in any way possible, there is no even distribution. What I have learned today is to keep least hopes from them as they will only bring disappointment. I m DQ'd on May 23rd and I dont know how long more they will drag to give me some news.
Yes, your frustration is understandable. Last month they covered nearly two weeks and announced dates on December 15th. This month they announced later, on January 19th and 20th and only covered one week. I am thinking they may yet still announce more dates later this week so I'm hoping for the best for those still waiting.

Let's see today otherwise wait till next month will call
I would hazard that people wait till end of this week. If no further emails then next month most likely. Feb is a shorter month and the interview dates may have already filled up.

Could you please ask your wife if she was asked to give the new copy of police certificate or just old?
Nope, barely looked at anything other than wedding pics.

Hey @Joppike, you had mentioned your wife had an interview a few weeks ago. Can you please let us know all the documents she took with her?
She took only her documents? Or also documents of yours (petitioner's)? And also please let me know if you updated your Tax return on CEAC before interview or if she just took it with her.
Thanks!
I don’t have the full list, but she took the following:
Tax transcripts for the last 3 years
House deed, mortgage papers for domicile
Birth Certificates (both)
Marriage certificate (Urdu/English)
Copy of my employee ID
Passport (he own)
Copy of my passport
Extra passport pics
Wedding pictures
Engagement pictures
We took statistics of our WhatsApp logs (chatvisualizer)
Old and new police certificates (since the previous ones expired)
DS-260 confirmation page
Interview was quick but we wanted to be thorough. -

They always send out interviews one time only. 😕
That is typically the case, but they only covered 5 days this time. Last time they covered 10 days (April 27th - May8th?) so I would expect some more interviews sent out later this week. Remember that January 19th is sandwiched between two holidays. I'm hoping and praying for the best for those still waiting!

I thought they will cover all May DQs but only till 15 May, congratulation to those who receive their IL Insha Allah may you all will get your visa's. A long journey for me
I would think they will keep sending out IL's this week so don't worry, we should see additional dates on Thursday and Friday.

It says public holiday on jan 20. Embassy should be open today and tomorrow.
18th of January is MLK day and a state holiday. 20th is inauguration day. So maybe the embassy will be open on the 19th?

Today probably IL will issue but today in USA national holiday and US embassy will close tomorrow and 20th for public.
Embassies are closed 18th - 20th? 18th January is MLK day which is a national holiday for Americans. Inauguration Day is on the 20th, didn’t know they would close on those days as well.

People usually get them in about a week, some even the same week (if your interview was Monday or Tuesday).
Btw, from Facebook, you don’t need a true translation of your nikkanama if you already have a English version and Urdu version of your documents. And no need to reopen fill out a DS-260 if you don’t get an email from the embassy to do so.
