Congratulations to you both, it’s great to hear of another approval. What documents didn’t they ask for?

They asked for the booking confirmation, original birth certificate, marriage certificate, DS260, police certificate. Basically anything that has an original, they asked for it. They didn't take any of the copies we made and didn't as for tax records, bank statements, or pay slips. I'm sure each person will be different in what they ask for, but my husband said he spent more time waiting than speaking to someone!

Has there been any movement yet? My case was approved for expedite on the 16th too and it left NVC the same day, and is now "ready" in London as of this morning.

If yours still hasn't left NVC yet it might be worth giving them a ring to try and hurry things along a bit.

Woke up to my case finally being "in transit". Got through to the NVC after about and a half on hold yesterday, the first thing the guy said was "Shall we see what's happened here?" Which leads me to think that someone may have forgotten to send the case or something.

So if its been a few days since you were approved for an expedite and it hasn't left the NVC I definitely think it helps to call.

  3. Hi Guys, My husbands interview was accepted to be expedited on the 16th of July. We got the email that everyone seems to get from the NVC saying that his appointment was cancelled (even though we never had one). We have been tracking the case and it still hasn't moved from the NVC. I've seen that it transfers to London the next day for some people. Should I phone them on Monday or has it taken longer for some people (I think I saw a week for someone else on this thread). As we are expedited, we are on a bit of a time crunch with work and he is out of the country so will need to quarantine upon arrival in the UK.
