Hi all! I used the DHL hack and saw that this morning a file was shipped to Paris, so I'm hoping it's mine 😊

My CEAC status is still "At NVC" though - if it is indeed my file, then how long should it take for the status to update to "In transit"?

    Thank you!

It’ll be within the same day or following day . You’ll know it was yours if it says In Transit

Still nada.  I was looking through the NOA2 pdf from OP and am confused.  References to Greenbaum and checking to see if packet 3s have been sent: is this outdated information?  I see @Greenbaum is an account and that they used to run the NOA2 to embassy threads each month, but that wasn't the case here.  Does someone else manage packet 3s now?

These are old references. Thank you for pointing it out. I’ll make sure to omit them going forward as there is no one in charge of packet 3 information for all embassies that I know of. I took over the reposting of these forums NOA2 to EMBASSY posts and just copy and pasted some of the old information so I may need to just revise it

Update (can't edit the above message): Found a few threads on VisaJourney that say that K-1 applicants actually don't need to log onto the CEAC portal and should just wait to be notified that our case has been shipped to the embassy. I guess I was confused by the instructions from the PDF in the first post of the thread! 😅

That’s correct.  K1 applicants do not need the Invoice Number.

and thank you for pointing out the pdf. I haven’t actually peeked at that in a really long time. It’s something that has been included in these posts for awhile so it might be beneficial to review and see if it is still accurate

I think this group is for February 2024 but it is named February 2023. I received my NOA2 on February 23, 2024 but have not received an NVC case number yet. Is anyone else in this same position?

If I am posting in the wrong group, please direct me to the right place because I can't seem to find it! :)

Whoops! I can’t edit the title but you are correct. It should read 2024 🙂🙂

Also, did you request your case number ? You don’t have to wait for them to send it

We’re picking up his medical exam tomorrow and then going to file on Friday when I have a new paystub. I recently got a promotion and a 20% raise and scared that it will cause any discrepancy because all my recent paystubs have my old pay and old title. My employment verification letter has my new title with new pay on it and HR says they cannot use old title and pay.

The filing fee on USCIS website says $1225, but I received a notice from Boundless saying we have to pay $1225 + $535?

Filing fees for AOS went up.
Boundless told you $1225? I saw online it was $1440

    hello there,

I have my interview on 13th March, so I gathered my documents but I am not sure I understand what they mean by 'Affidavit of support I-134- current tax return.'

My boyfriend is filling the I-134.  He also provided a current salary sheet, a warranty deed for the house and a Property tax statement for the year 2023.

Is this necessary or enough? I can't find any explanations.

    Thanks

What you listed aren’t the same things as a tax return.

He needs to provide a copy of his most recent tax returns. The IRS transcript is super quick to print out online.

If that’s true, how do we get to the nearly one year for the embassy interview?

Because your embassy isn’t requesting new cases at a fast pace. That doesn’t mean that other embassies aren’t faster. It’s best to join groups that are also from your embassy to be able to make comparable estimates

Is the package at the NVC for months?

For some yes, for others no. Depends on the embassy

My question was, from the USCIS receipt/arrival notice to NVC takes over, averages how much time? It seems like about 5-6 months? Is that close for an average?

This question will depend according to each  embassy .

So To answer your question, NVC takes possession of your case fairly quickly. Within 30 days of the date of your approval, you should be able to obtain your new NVC case #.

I think the second part of your question would be, When does your specific embassy request the cases from NVC? That will vary depending on the embassy. For example my embassy is the Dominican Republic and they request cases from NVC around every 30-45 days. This may not be true for your embassy which is I why I say that this will depend on how frequently your embassy is requesting more cases. If you are seeing 5-6 months wait time at NVC for other cases who are also at your embassy then that’s a fair estimate to go by

    Hello,

I was wondering if the visa journey estimate for approval of the k1 visa is accurate? My Fiancée and I got our NOA1 on December 11th, 2023, Visa journey is stating that between September 9th and 21st 2024 we should receive notification if our k1 visa has been approved, I really don't want to get my hopes up. Did anyone else's NOA2 happen around the same time visa journey expected? Thanks!

No it isn’t accurate. It’s an estimate as stated. It may take less or more. Just baseline for you to follow so you have a rough idea of what to expect. It isn’t exact
