    Hello All,

I submitted N336 - appeal for my rejection. Received Interview letter for April 20th. Can some one through some light on what to prepare for N336 Interview ?

Also I did passed my civics test at the time of N400 interview, do they ask these questions again ?

    Please throw some light.

    Thank you!

N336 Appeal approved and N400 Interview also completed same day. Oath is scheduled.

Thank you all for the support.

  2. Hello Everyone, I need some inputs from experts in this forum. My application for naturalization is denied, and I am Expecting the denial letter any time soon )

Reason : I filed my application of March 9th, 2020 in Cleveland. I was just moved to Cleveland on 01/15/2020, so not able to justify three months residency in current jurisdiction.

Interview officer went on my civics question and reading and writing skills and then started going through my application, and he found that by the time I applied my stay in Ohio is 52 days only and the requirement is 90 days. I really don't know how I missed it though :(. Officer told me he is rejecting my application and I will receive a denial letter soon.

After doing some research on VJ, I found that I did satisfy my residency in current state requirement. Here is the reason why I think its a mistake from officer.

I got GC on 06/01/2015, Five years will complete by 05/30/2020, where as I applied based on 90 days early filing. For early filing the current state of residency requirement seems different. See the below statement.

    D. 90-Day Early Filing Provision (INA 334)

"In cases where an applicant has filed early and the required three month period of residence in a state or service district falls within the required five-year period of continuous residence, jurisdiction for filing will be based on the three-month period immediately preceding the examination on the application."

As per the above statement by 05/30/2020 I am meeting the required 90 days stay in current jurisdiction.

I am thinking of appealing my denial, please suggest.

    Thank You!

  4. Thank you everyone for your support. My application got denied. Reason for Denial is failed to meet “Time as a resident in current district” -“People must live in the USCIS district or State in which they are applying for at least 3 months before applying”. I applied a month early, Not sure how I overlooked this requirement :(

I will wait for the Denial letter and then apply again :)

I was wondering if anybody with an interview scheduled in Cleveland has a pending ROC. They were asking in the March 2020 thread to have an idea of how things are proceeding.

Even I guess the same. People with recent biometrics approvals ( less than 2 years) are scheduling for interviews in Cleveland. I filed my case on March 9th ( GC+ 5 Years ) and got Biometrics reuse letter on 08/07 ( My last Biometrics are given in 2015)  and no update after that. I did called the customer care and spoke about my case. As per their internal system, my background check is not completed yet. Looks like for people with recent ( Less then 2 Years) background checks they are using old results.

Got an update.  Checked the old website and it says "Interview was scheduled".  The new one only has a document about reusing my biometrics, so maybe it hasn't been updated with an interview date yet.  Nothing in the mail today, but I'll circle back and update the group when I get a date for the interview.

@teixeima When did you received the update on reusing your bio metrics ?

  7. Guys, I finally see some movement on my case. Just got an update online. Here is the message.

    U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has received your form and is currently processing your application, petition, or request. This notice informs you that USCIS is able to reuse your previously captured fingerprints and other biometrics. USCIS will run the same security checks and use your biometric data as in the past, however, it is not necessary for you to appear at a USCIS Application Support Center (ASC) for a biometrics appointment. The biometrics fee will not be refunded.
