  1. My wife was told that (well not the old marriage certificate) in Brazil, had to send them the certified copy of my divorce paperwork from California.
  2. We included the i-864 and w2, and paystub, what's the worse that can happen, you have wasted paper & ink (or maybe some money). Better than needing it and not having it.
  3. Got shipment notice on the 20th (claims it came from the ASC in Rio), and delivered in Rio Grande de Norte, Brazil on the 22nd (though correios had estimated a delivery on the 27th).
  4. tracking started working later on the 20th, and earlier today we got the passport with IR visa.
  5. And just got an email with tracking information from the correios, though it stated it might not start tracking until tomorrow.
  6. And today at the end of the day, it has changed to Issued.
  7. And looking again at the case on Monday September 18th at 10pm, the status at CEAC was shown as Issued.
  8. Honestly, if you have to file an i-824 doesn't that mean you messed up the i-130 submission? Remember WoM aren't always successful. And an unsuccessful WoM would result in a denial. Requiring to re-submit an i-130 and waiting on that. As noted i-824's seem to take about a year.
  9. Well correction, my original divorce paperwork didn't work either. Sent in the certified divorce paperwork arrived this past Tuesday, on Friday CEAC showed it as AP instead of Refused (with Friday's date as the last updated).
  10. My wife's case changed to Administrative Processing today, after they got my certified divorce paperwork on the afternoon of Tuesday the 12th. Fingers crossed it's a quick AP (this is Brazil).
  11. reload the page if you get that when doing it for an immigrant visa
  12. I would also suggest trying to renew the tourist visa, as the CR1 process will likely take 1-2 years.
  13. I had my wife take my car insurance to proof my domicile.
  14. I did not include an employment verification letter, but i also used a paystub from May which included the totals from the current year to that date, and i have been at this job for multiple years.
  15. And uses the non-citizen (foreigner) line at immigration.
  16. Yes, it's normal. The actively reviewed probably means it had a change in which service center is processing it. Here is what my wife's timeline for i-130 looked like: submitted i-130/130a and evidence 8/31/2021 added beneficary evidence 9/3/2021 Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS 9/28/2021 I-130 Approval notice on 8/16/2022 between, 9/29/201 to 8/15/2022 there was no news.
  17. 40 pages of proof sounds like you are trying too hard imo. I had sent 9 pages of proof at the i-130 stage, and increased that (a year later) to ~13 pages for NVC. You included pictures of various places and with family members? Btw, you likely can't file the w-7 for an ITIN until you file your 2023 taxes in 2024.
  18. The Affidavit of Support is the i-864 form. If you do not have a job that will continue when you move to USA, you list 0, and are relaying on the joint sponsor. regarding 3 i would definitely list it as an alias on the DS-260. About 4, the medical exam will take place in China, so no need for an english translation. Typically at the NVC stage and Interview documents can be in English or the local language. It's only USCIS that required English.
  19. Not sure, in my USCIS account it still shows the I-130 Petition with "Case Closed" above it. with a Case Status of "Case Was Sent To The Department of State". Also the Case History shows the last item as "Case Was Sent To The Department of State". Afaik the timeline on the i-824 is reported to be about 12 months.
  20. As the i-824 costs money, might make sense to start with USCIS.
  21. eg you filled out the form incorrectly, You should have done 61 or 62, not both. You can try to contact USCIS and get them to send it to the NVC, apparently one filer was able to do that with apparent success. Otherwise i-824.
  22. Better luck asking in the regional forum, as it's consulate specific. In Brazil DQ on 2023-05-25 and we got the Interview Letter on 2023-06-26
  23. The medic will tell you if you are missing anything. Also it depends on the age of your spouse. You didn't indicate what country your spouse is interviewing in. In Brazil the medic sent a list of vaccine's. I would think if you have scheduled the medic they would have sent you a list. If not, ask them.
  24. well not quite anywhere, there are only 4 locations listed at https://br.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/medical-examination-instructions/ as of Aug 2023.
  25. Btw, just to note the US Consulate in RJ does not accept a Brazil authenticated divorce paperwork from my first US based wedding (got a white 221g asking for my original divorce paperwork). And the Carterio will not release the original certified divorce paperwork either. I am heading to Chicago on Sunday/Monday and expecting an overnight shipment from my dad with the original divorce paperwork. And returning to Brazil next Friday.
