Is not a requirement and it will not have any influence on a CBP officer's decision making.  Because of that, whether or not other couples had obtained it prior to making a visit is irrelevant.

Great! Thank you! Last question about it..do you know if it could be a copy of the marriage certificate or should it be the original one?

They are huge on making sure you have your birth certificate with your parents full names on it.

Sure we are gonna get it at some point but we're getting married on the 5th October in Mexico and they were asking for our birth certificates 15 days before the wedding and I don't think we are gonna have it by then. That's why I was asking if was a must having parents names on the marriage certificate, if it's not a must we are okay to get married without the birth certificate

  3. Hi everyone! I've been reading this topic since its beginning cause I'm stuck with this Schengen ban too as I'm from Spain... I believe my situation is a little bit different and that's why I'm feeling completely desperate, I blame myself for not finding a solution which I know doesn't exist. We haven't filled for any visa yet, I was just entering the USA to visit my loved one with the ESTA. I should have been there at the end of March and the whole month of May too and everything went wrong due to the ban. My passport has expired so my ESTA too and I can't get a new one by now.

I'm just writting to let you know that I'm cheering each one of you that is trying to find out the way to get to stay with your loved one. Don't give up, I'm doing it sometimes and I know I shouldn't do that.

Thanks to everyone who is sharing their experiences and their thoughts about this situation and how are they handling it.
