  1. Thanks for the reply. Since the edition posted on USCIS website is the 03/09/2023 edition, I guess "must use the 07/19/2022 edition of Form I-693." in the RFE letter is no longer a must. While using 03/09/2023 edition, can I select "completion vaccination record portion only"?
  2. We got an RFE for I-693. "You must provide the following information in order for us to make a final decision on your case: Submit a complete Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record. This form is required to complete your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. Your existing Form I-693 was signed by the civil surgeon more than two years ago and is expired. Please submit a new Form I-693 completed by a designated civil surgeon." The letter also says "All Forms I-693 signed by civil surgeons on or after October 5, 2022 must use the 07/19/2022 edition of Form I-693." However, the 07/19/2022 edition is no longer available at USCIS website, and the current edition is 03/09/2023. "Starting May 31, we will accept only the 03/09/23 edition". The one major difference between 03/09/2023 edition and 07/19/2022 edition is that in 03/09/2023 edition Part 1. 4. K1 visa holder is eligible for completion vaccination record portion only. When we submitted AOS package, the medical examination which took oversea is still within 1 year and therefore we only submitted the marked "completed" 3025 form. Now we received the RFE says the existing I693 was signed more than two years ago. It is not true since we didn't submit I693 and the medical and 3025 were signed both still within 2 years. We are not going argue with USCIS on this and decided to send a new I693. But just confused which edition we should use. Do we need to get medical done if we can use 03/09/2023 edition or just vaccination?
  3. Below is the list of documents I have so far. Please give your comments. And what are the advantage/disadvantage of mail them prior to the interview? - An affidavit by a U.S. citizen friend, attesting to our relationship and marriage. - A letter of support by my spouse’s therapist. - Copy of our 2021 tax return transcript showing married filing jointly. - Copies of Bank of America credit card and joint checking account statements. - Copy of our other credit cards showing same card number. - Copy of current bond holdings showing joint ownership. - Copy of IRA account beneficiary summary. - Copy of health insurance membership information and bills showing a joint policy. - Copy of home and auto insurance statements showing a joint policy. - Copy of gas and electric statements showing both our names. - Copy of water Company statements showing both our names. - Copy of mobile phone company statements showing both our names. - Copy of our Costco cards on a joint account. - Copy of photos and air tickets for vacations we had before we got married. - Copy of photos of us, and with family and friends. - Copy of air and hotel reservations of an upcoming vacation. - Copy of my enrollment card at a local adult school showing current address.
  4. I prepared a set of evidence of a bona fide marital relationship. But now I hesitate if I should mail these unsolicited documents to USCIS field office prior to the interview. Any thoughts?
  5. Thank you so much. What you said is so true. I need to control my anxiety, although it is very hard to do. We live together, love each other, and share everything together. At the first AOS interview, the officer asked me questions first and the ask my spouse the same questions through interpreter. It's almost like ask us questions separately since my spouse doesn't understand English. We did fine. Then the officer asked all those questions in the I485, including the party member question. The answer is No. We are in a real marriage and were well prepared for the first interview. The fact we still need a second interview makes me wondered what the interviewing officer wants and how well prepared is enough. It makes me struggle on every detail and causes more anxiety.
  6. Thanks! I know. Because I am so stressed. I have no clue why there is a second interview and how to prepare it.
  7. what should be in the subject line? Something like: "RE: I-485 Adjustment of Status Interview"?
  8. Thanks. I will include A# and Receipt number. Do I still need to mention application date and previous interview date?
  9. I have applicant name, A#, and recipe number under the subject line "RE: ...". I am not sure what to write in that line after RE:
  10. My spouse came to the U.S. on K1 visa. We had the initial AOS interview eight months ago and received notice for the second interview a couple weeks ago. We are so stressed. I consulted a lawyer and he told us to prepare as many as supporting documents as possible, and better to mail copies of everything to the local USCIS office before the interview and also bring everything to the interview. I was busy preparing and now I am wondering how should I mail these unsolicited documents? Anyone has the experience? We didn’t receive RFE, what title should I write in the cover letter? How to tell the officer what are the enclosed documents for? Thanks!
