Our daughter was born in Ontario in December 2020. We received her Canadian birth certificate in January 2021 and immediately filed an eCRBA application through the Toronto embassy. In non-covid times it seems we should've been sent an email saying we can register for an interview. So far it's been 4 months and we haven't received anything contact. The ACS appointment system shows that appointment dates are 'not yet open' for all future dates. 

Does anyone have an info on how these interviews are being done (if it all)? Thanks!

Anyone with any experience? It's not easy getting in contact with the immigration folks in Montreal...

Our senator helped us obtain an expedite for a financial hardship situation (DQ in Aug 2020). Unfortunately, it appears that the expedite will not prevent the loss of my husband's job due to the extended wait time for CR-1 interviews in Montreal. We know from the CR1 Montreal FAQ Googledoc that we're unlikely to be granted an expedite, but we have to try. 

If we were granted expedited I-130 processing do we ask again for interview scheduling? Do we just email Montreal-IV-DV@state.gov to ask (been 2 weeks and haven't heard anything)? Has anyone ever been successful? 

Hope everyone is coping with the delays with as little pain as possible. 

I have a related question and didn't want to start a new thread. 

We were granted an expedite at the NVC due to financial hardship. Now with the delayed interviews due to Covid it appears we won't get the visa in time to avoid this hardship. Is anyone aware of a contact number we could call to plead our case to the Montreal consulate general? Has anyone had success getting an interview expedited at the Montreal CG?
