  1. Hello. I got my ssn card today and i noticed my middle name is missing 2 letters. The name on my visa is correct. I read they only allow 16 letters and my name is longer than that. Is that a problem? Should i call and try to fix it?

Have you called NVC and check the status with them?  I wouldn’t be paying too much importance to USCIS when your case has already arrived at NVC.

We called uscis yestarday and they said everything is fine they just had to check something thats why they reopend the case and they approved it again yesterday, so now we got 2 approval notice, i guess i shouldnt worry

  3. Its been longer than 3 months and still nothing yet. We keep callimg and sending email but they re not sending our case to nvc. On the notice of approval it says we applied for adjustment of status but its impossinle for me and i double checked the i130 we didmt apply for it for sure. It was their mistake and tbey wont fix it, we even contact the congressman but still nothing. What can i do next?

We are in the same boat, waiting for the Potomac SC, zero update on uscis portal ever since Jan 3rd, with receipt date is also first week of Nov.

We had a phone contact with Potomac early June (I thought we were transferred to Texas for some reason and that SC passed our priority date), and then they said expect answer by end of July. Cool at least we know this.

And just as you say on Jul 21st, suddenly the end of July priority date in PSC jumped 4 months back. :S

I hope they rubber stamp us as approved and move further in the pipeline.

They approved my case on may 5th at nebraksa and they still didnt send my case to nvc after 3 months. And they approved it for adjustment of status which we definetely didnt apply for cauae ive never been to states and i checked the i130 again and we did everything right.

  5. Hello. Today its been 90 days since our i130 approval and our case was not sent to nvc yet. My husband called a tier 2 a month ago and he said in 15 days we should hear from nvc but its been 30 days and they still didnt send our case. The notice of approval has an error too, it says we re approved for adjustment of status ehich we didnt applied for cause im not in the states. We told uscis about that too a few times. Now we re gonna send a letter to the congressman hopefully it will be fixed soon. Anyone else in this situation?

  6. Hello! Uscis approved our i130 petition on 5th May 2020. They sent us a wrong notice of action, the said its for adjustment of status which we definetely didnt apply for cause i cant travel at all to states and we mention BUCHAREST as embassy. So we called uscis like 3 times to make sure they ll send our case to nvc. A lady even said our case is where its supposed to be but it was a typogeaphic mistake or something like that. After 45 days i sent to inquiries to nvc and they asked for noa2 to ask uscis for our case but they said they cant do anything with it cause it says adjustnent of status. Then my hsuband called uscis twice and talked to a tier2. He said he ll ask for our case to be send to nvc and we should hear from them in 15 days. Now its been 15 days since that and 9 weeks since our apporval. We dont know what to do now, we asked for our noa2 to be corrected so nvc cant help us but stil nothing..should we call again? And for adjustment of status arent the document different? Or at least some more documents send with i130. We didnt even send passport pics because i googled it and it says im not supposed to if im not in us so we clearly didnt apply for adjusmtent of status.

ya it sucks, but can't do much but wait. USCIS messed up our nvc transfer too, got the generic message from nvcresearch that there was some error in the case and they are working with uscis to fix it(I doubt they are actually trying to fix it but just buying more time for themselves), but we shall see.

My husband talk to a tier2 yesterday he said he ll send a request to send our documents to nvc and we should hear from them in 15 days. Now i hope he said nvc not nbc cause my husband said he had an accent. My husband told him about our wrong notice of action but he didnt comment on that

You should contact USCIS since they'll probably forward the case to NBC instead NVC if they think it's AOS.

SOme folks have reported interview dates and even have had their interviews already. CR1/IR1 are slowly starting in many embassies.

We called uscis a few times and they kept said theyve sent it. My husband talk to a tier2 and he send a request asking for our case to be sent to nvc(hopefully). But i checked and its still not sent. How many times do we have to call and explain what they did wrong
