  1. Hello everyone!

To those who already had their EAD approved and/or received, how long did it take after biometrics were taken??

I got biometrics done in the Orlando ASC on October 13th and the anticipation has been driving me crazy, specially since it took 5 months for it to be scheduled.

My PD is May 4th and I already filled a service request with USCIS.

Thank you in advance and I hope we can all hear some good news soon!

you didn't notice from the uscis website that you should go to biometric? I guess when they schedule the appointment, you receive a new status?

No, my last status change until today was on June 30th when they received my response to a RFE. Everything else is still sitting as “case was received”.

Why couldn't USPS deliver it do you know? You mean it's not USCIS fault or USPS.

I have no idea, I’ve been checking the mail religiously every day for the past month. I also confirmed the address with USCIS and it was correct. The way the mailboxes at my apt complex are set up makes them 100% accessible to the mailman, so there’s no way they were obstructed. I also don’t get packages delivered so the mailbox could not be full to the point were the letter would not fit. What I find strange is that I never saw anything from USCIS on Informed Delivery.

Oh well, there’s no point in being upset about the past. I was told I should receive a new appointment by the 11th, so I might just hang out by the mailbox everyday around the time the mailman comes to make sure everything is good.

That’s what the tier 1 agent said tier 2 would do. Now all that’s left to do is get through the 14 hours of estimated wait for a call back lol

Just got a call back and well....my appointment was for August 13th.
Literally took 2 full weeks AFTER the appointment date for USPS (not their fault, of course) to attempt to deliver my notice.

What a slap in the face.

I thought about it when I was reading your post.

You can call and ask when and where your biometrics will take place.

I didn't receive my letter on time, they emailed it to me.

The Tier 1 agent said the biometrics were ordered but she did not have any further information.
I’m now somewhat relieved there’s been some progress happening at least!

Hey, my I-485 status just changed to “Notice Was Returned To USCIS Because The Post Office Could Not Deliver It”. Does anyone have any idea of what the notice could be? The last status change was “Response to USCIS’ Request for Evidence Was Received”, but this was on June 30th.

    I’m confused and frustrated...

Just spoke to a tier 1 officer who told me it looks like the notice was for biometrics.
Now I’m gonna wait for a call back from a tier 2 officer and hope I haven’t missed my appointment.

You shouldn't need anything translated, If you entered on a K1 visa, you would have the DS-3025 for proof of vaccinations to send with the AOS. IF you adjusted while here you will get the I-693 filled out by a authorized civil surgeon to send with AOS. both are already in English. You don't need another medical if you entered on a K1 and have a DS-3025 marked complete( and you are filing within a year of previous medical). If you are taking proof of vaccinations to the medical exam I don't think you would need them translated as the form used is usually pretty universal and standardized so I am sure the doctor can decipher it, and I don't think it would need to be notarized. If you are getting the medical done here in the US, you can ask if they need them translated when you make your appointment.

I actually arrived in the US about 4 years ago on a F2 visa.
I think I’ll get everything translated just in case since I’m afraid the doctor won’t be able to understand some parts of it that are in Portuguese and kinda old.

  8. I'm currently in the process of preparing my AOS packet and had a couple questions regarding my vaccination records. I know they need to be translated, but does it have to be notarized?
And should I take the original record along with the translation when I go for the medical exam? I still haven't scheduled it yet because of this question.
I've been seeing a lot of different information online and I'm confused.

Thank you in advance for any help.
