I got my visa 2 days after my interview BUT somebody I talked to from Manila (she just came probably 5 months or so ago) that they dont allow that anymore and so as the US citizen to be with the interviewee.

But what I would suggest is show them itinerary..That's what we did, my husband booked a flight for us, a week after my interview. We showed it to the CO and then approved us for a pick-up. They told us that they will call me and I was surprised that they called me same day to tell me my visa was ready. It took 2 days bcoz it was Nov. 22 which is thanksgiving day and US embassy was closed. So, try it. There's nothing wrong in trying. Best wishes.

no offense but why bother? your supplies won't last that long and so you'll eventually have to say bye bye to all the products you are used to.... save yourself the time and planning effort and bring only what lasts and lasts and lasts like clothing, keepsakes, etc.

i mean, don't go out and buy a supply of vitamins.... bring what you have.... trust me, we have vitamins here, lots of them, vitamins for babies, teens, women, men... maybe even vitamins for asians!

I would think the name on your marriage license is the name which should be on your GC and SS card and State ID.

Here's the situation:

My social security card (SSC) doesn't have my middle name. When me and my husband applied for a state ID, the lady told us that the SSC need to have a middle name since I am using my middle name. They told us to go to the social security office to change it. We went there, I brought my Philippine passport with me since that's the only identification I have aside from my green card. They looked at both and asked us which name I am going to use. We're both surprise since we didn't know that there's something wrong with it saince they didn't question it at the USCIS, NVC or even the Manila Embassy. My name on my passport is Goff = last name, first name, Santos = middle name and on my GC is Santos-Goff = last name, first name, Jamoragan (which is my middle name when I was single) = middle name. My name on my GC is what they have in the USCIS files since our lawyer did that. I know it is confusing. They told us to change either the PI passport or my GC. And since we are here in the US, we decided to just change the GC.

The problem is my GC will expire this year on November. So, we need to file for Removal of condition. Me and my husband wants to just do it at the same time. The changing of the name and the removal of condition since the fees are high. I called the U.S Immigration Office here in FL and they told me to just change the name in the form and send a marriage certificate at the same time of filing. I think he misunderstood my situation and thought that I was single when they issued me the GC but I am not, so I am confuse.

The question: Can we file it at the same time? Changing the name and removal of condition? We're thinking of saving from the high fees since we all know the economic problems we're all having.

I will having an appointment in the third week of December 2008. Then they want me to go to ST. Lukes Hospital for medical. Now here is my questions i want to know.

1. If i had interview on that day, so when will i need to go to ST. lukes for medical?

2. What should i need to bring to ST. lukes?

3. How much is the payment?

4. Can i get the result within that day?

About this coming interview to me. They dont put time for my interview just only date.

- What is the best thing I will do so I wont miss in that appointment?

Man!!!!! The medical fee really got high huh? Goodness.. On our batch as what I remeber is just $145..

To the PO.. You need to at least have your medical one week before your interview..

Just be there an hour early before they open..I remembered, we spent 20 mins to get our legal capacity..Just tell the securities there that you need to get your legal capacity and they will instruct you what to do and where to go..

We arrived March 20th and so far she has kept me smiling (in more ways than one ). Her questions so far:

• While landing at the Atlanta airport: What happened to all those trees? (no leaves yet)
• At Taco Bell: You mean they just let you drink all the Coke you want?
• Also at Taco Bell: We have to clean our own table?
• At the clothing store: Can we check the kids section for my size?

• At home: The washer will not spin (lid was open)

• How do they know what the weather will be tomorrow?
• Is this the biggest bag of rice they have?
• Why do all the ice cubes look the same? (not made by busting ice from a plastic tube)

• You can really make free cell phone calls on nights and weekends?
• You only take one shower a day?
• Old people have jobs?
• They let you take the shopping cart outside?
• At Wal-Mart: They let you check your own stuff? How do they know you wont steal it?
• Why does the traffic light have a Yellow?
• Did you see how those drivers just stopped for us when we crossed the street?
• Why would anybody want to get a tan?
• Why don't they have cheese popcorn at the movies?
• You can make popcorn in the microwave?
• At the grocery store: Where is the MSG?
• They let you put the gas in your car yourself?
• What is that like a rat in the tree? Answer: squirrel
• What is turkey?
• College students don't wear uniforms?
• How does the police man know if you are speeding?

We are having such a great time. I have never smiled so much!

That was cute..I was wondering too when I got here why do they have bottoms up drinks..Hahaha..Very unusually in the Philippines..And the clean your own table thing..The pump your own gas..Hehehe..We have the gasoline boys in PI..Hihihi..But we do have yellow in our traffic light in PI..Hihihihi..What really amazed me is, job for old people since usually in the Phillipines, old people just stay at home and rest..lol Coz employers preferred younger with high educational attainment..Keep us posted..

They never asked for my xray film but I put it in my hand carry with all the immigration stuff I brought..Have a safe trip..

We paid P12000 for the minister from the Manila city hall to have the marriage rites..

The venue, video, gown, food and after the wedding party at home cost a P50,000 not include the ring, cake and flower bouquet..

It is a simple and very solemn wedding..Good luck and best wishes..

I was approved last Feb. I just wondered if how many of us waiting for appointment date? and is there any other way of knowing your medical and interview date,aside from VISA APPOINTMENT ONLINE?

That DOS number is for CR1/IR1 visa only..Those K1 and K3 will find their appointment to that IV schedule from the USEM site..Check it everyday for you will be surprise one day since you already have the Manila case number as I saw in your timeline..I guess you are a k1 visa applicant too coz you just filed I129f..Good luck..

I think you should have middle name on it. On my SS# card I have full complete name in it.

My life here in US is fun.. Although sometimes I will be sitting alone in our house with our dog and 2 cats..

I always talk to my family online and that helps me for being homesick..

And most of the time, I will go out with my mom in-law and have fun with her..

There's a Filipino store near our house, 20 mins drive and FL's weather is same as Manila's but sometimes its colder..Hehehe..

my card only has middle initial you should have something to verify it is you there could be couple jane does but there is only one jane g, does but the number is attatched to you

I am a CR1 visa holder when I got here in the US last Nov. and they sent me my ssc, 8 days after my arrival..I compared my card to my husband's and just noticed that mine dont have my middle name on it..Do we need to report it at SSA and ask for another card? Packet 4 contains the appointment letter and the guidelines of what documents u have completed..After u have find out that your case is completed, I advice u to call the Department of State and inquire about your interview date coz the IV schedule site of the USEM in kinda late..Thats what we did..
