I would like to verify...

I still got no appointment packet in my hand, however, I want to go for early medical exam (2 weeks earlier than the my sched). What must I bring in lieu of my appointment packet?

I am planning for an early medical too but I have not received my packet yet. I have no idea how to go about it and what to bring. Shed some light please

i got an instant message from jenneth(2hearts1beat) earlier and she told me that her fiance called USE and found out that they are scheduled for interview on August 7!! congrats!!

after knowing that, i tried my luck in checking the online site of USE gosh!!!! im so happy!!! i have medical and interview schedule already!!! wuhoo!!!! this is so exciting

I just called St. Mary Euphrasia Foundation-Center for Overseas Workers (SMEF-COW) here in Cebu and yes, we can attend the guidance and counseling even if we don't have our interview date yet.

SMEF-COW conducts the guidance and counseling program to Filipino spouses and other partners of foreign nationals. The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) issues the guidance and counseling certificate to clients who have satisfactorily completed the guidance and counseling requirements at SMEF-COW.

I will be going there tomorrow.

I am from Guadalupe, Cebu City (city proper)....I used to work at CIT (just resigned this semester)...Wow! So nice to know someone from Cebu too...

Just called the State Department (1-202-663-1225 option 1,0) and was informed that the packet 4 was sent out today, medical is scheduled for August 6th and the interview is scheduled for August 13!!! :dance: :dance:

I just joined VJ yesterday but have been visiting the site since last month. Everyone is really a big help. Thank you all.

Anyway, USEM received our papers May 18. Fiance called USEM today and have been told that probably my interview would probably be on August or September.

Question: Is it possible to apply for an early appointment? Do we need to quality for that such as valid reasons why we want early appointment? We hope to be interviewed early in July.

My fiance just found out yesterday that there is something wrong with his prostate according to his doctor. He / We kind of hope that I would be there with him for the biopsy and to the entire process of his examination.

But if we do apply for early appointment be rejected, it might delay us even more and we don't want that. It's either apply for early appointment or just wait for them forever until they scheduled us.

What do you think? any input is welcome......

Update:

Fiance called USEM from US and yes, our papers arrived in USEM May 18. The woman said that I am not yet scheduled for an interview or medical. However, when asked if she had any idea when would I be scheduled, she said probably sometime in August or September.... Whaaa...seems like forever! Packet will be sent a month before the scheduled interview.

I am new on VJ. Actually I just registered today but have been lurking the site for months now.... I guess I belong to the February Filers having NOA1 on Feb. 1.

My fiance received NVC letter dated May 17 stating that NVC received our approved I-129F with our case number MNL200763xxxx, with a statement that within a week or so our papers be sent to USE in Manila. Called NVC to ask if our papers been sent to USEM already, been told it was sent May 16.

Now, we are waiting and waiting for any news if our papers did or did not arrived in USEM. Called USEM last week, spent the entire day getting nothing but "the person you are calling is engaged right now, call again later".....hehehe...it is long distance (I am from Cebu).

Fiance will try calling them tomorrow....hopefully he will get some good news.

Right now, I am going nuts from waiting...........

Hope to see each other when in Manila....Cebu is a long way.
