That's interesting. The USCIS website says to bring on the day of the interview the official interview invitation letter. I am not too eager to show up at the door with just an email which doesn't even have the person's full name who wrote the email.
I was confused as well when we receive the email because we were expecting an official interview letter. All my wife did was show the security the email. I'm pretty sure they have a list of who's being interviewed that day so I wouldn't worry so much about the IL.

Hi. I received an email on Thu with a new appointment date for May. Our original interview date was last year but got cancelled due to Covid. The problem I have is that the email was written by a human and just gave us the date and that instructions would soon follow. However, we still have not received the "official" interview letter which one is required to have in hand on the interview day.
Has anyone ever rescheduled or know of someone who has rescheduled and how they were able to get the new IL letter sent to them? I need to get that IL ASAP but because all of this is unusual because of the Covid cancelations and manual reschedul8ng, I am very concern I may not get an official IL sent to me again.
My wife got an email written as a regular email. She did not receive an official IL. She received the date and time , with an attached packet 4 which instructed her what documents to present.

How do u apply
NVCexpedite@state.gov
It should be easy applying through there since NVC will forward the request to then embassy. Once the embassy approves NVC forwards the case to embassy.

Any updates for interviews
Unfortunately, it's only opened for emergency appointments still.

I encourage to apply for an emergency appointment if you meet any of the categories. Even if you think you qualify I encourage to apply for one.

My own personal experience : I filed single and my wife had no issues obtaining her CR1.

Not a very valid reason for an expedite.
There are very limited reasons to have an expedite successful. Usually it is medical emergencies or extreme hardships. Expedites are even harder now because of Covid.
I know each country has different policies in order to expedite. I was just suggesting since I was able to get an expedite for my wife using that reason. I was almost in the same boat as the OP.

thanks for your comment. It wouldnt be to adjust here. She’d go back for the interview but either way I understand
Have you tried asking for an emergency interview since your kid is already a US citizen? Maybe you can use that as a reason for your spouse to get an emergency interview.

Has anyone gotten an interview or interview date?

Hi hoping someone can clarify as the NVC could not. Currently filing for cr1 visa and I’m at the nvc stage. Fees to the nvc have been requested and paid for which should generally take 3 working days to clear but it’s now been 3 weeks and the information still says In Process. Spoke to nvc after many attempts and all they said was they are having payment issues then hung up the phone. Anybody else had long delays before status changed to “Paid” and they could access DS260?
You should make an inquiry regarding this. Nvcinquiry@state.gov . Be very specific about it, take a screenshot of what you see and attach it. Let them know how long this has been going on.

Hello Everyone I'm at nvc stage about to make payment and upload all the documents required..
My wife a usc she's having issue creating account with the IRS... anyone got an ideal where she can download her transcript or just wait to receive it through mail...my 2nd question is would there be any issue if after payment and take some while before uploading the necessary document.. hope to Read Feedbacks.. thanks..
If she is having trouble creating an account through IRS then she can schedule an appointment to go to an IRS office and get the transcripts. She can also ask for them online. As far as your second question on taking a while to upload documents after paying fees the answer to that is, no there is no problem. As long as it doesnt exceed a year I believe.

Thanks for the response but would not it be required to add joint sponsor documents in CEAC?
As long as the CO approves it you should be ok. Unless the CO specifically tells you to upload it to CEAC. If your income is not below the threshold you might not need a joint sponsor.

Just take those documents the joint sponsor documents and affidavit of support to the interview.

Did the upload change your DQ date?
It will change your DQ date since it will take you to the back of the line. I had already gotten DQ when I uploaded.

I was reading from the US Embassy in Guatemala’s website, they are saying they will resume giving interviews after December 31st.
I did see that. Sorry to hear that. I'm in Guatemala right now.

Are interviews now being scheduled in Guatemala for cr1 visas ????? Any updates...
I was able to get my wife interview but only via expedite. As far as I'm concerned they havent resumed visa services unless an emergency.

I've seen cases where none was presented and the case was accepted. If you have strong evidence then i dont think it's necessary. In my case I did submit 3 letters and I guess it helped.

Automatic reply
The United States Embassy in Cotonou, Benin, is closed for all but emergency visa services. We have received your message and will respond only if your request qualifies for an emergency appointment.
This precautionary measure is temporary and due solely to the current pandemic. The Embassy remains committed to its partnership with the people and government of Benin.
The embassy is closed on May 1.
This is the email I receive all the time, which is automatic. Not sure what step should I take to get my kids here as soon as possible. Please help.
I would begin By reviewing what qualifies as an emergency then going ahead and emailing them by being compelling and making your email an emergency situation. I know each embassy is different but that is what I did in my case .

There should be someone there. Try emailing the IV unit.

If you already submitted all your civil and financial documents don't worry about that part. It's going to stay that way until all documents are checked and completed.
