So in their live today, the embassy said they are finally done with rescheduling cancelled interviews from the last year and a half. They said anyone who was cancelled and has not been contacted by the end of August should call them. They also said they don't know when they will be able to start taking cases from the NVC. But with the fact that they are finished rescheduling cancelled interviews, I'd say by the end of September or October, they'll start taking new cases.

Thanks much for this bit of information, at least it sounds sensible, however, it would be nice if they just indicate to all of us the true position and not building our hopes up with the sixty days letter.

I made this post in another forum.......

Seems like it will be a long wait fa real. My wife's PD is October 2017 I believe and DQ'd July 2020. F2A category.

We got two letters from NVC so far, one in about March 2021 saying they would let us know if we have an interview or not in another 120 days...then recently received another email saying we should hear back from them in another 60 days if an interview is available. So hopefully by august we will hear back from them, but just feel its gonna be another extension again. Has anyone received such emails/letters?

Based on the email I was hoping that by October/November 2021 we could get an interview date but if persons DQ'd from March 2020 haven't gotten one yet then..... :(

Also anyone know if its moving much faster for US citizens that are filing?

I received same too...so am just waiting

For someone of her age, that could be a challenge even without a pending immigrant petition. I mean, she can take her chances - people without ties do get admitted, believability does come into it - but she should also be prepared for the possibility of being refused entry if she tries. She should make sure she has absolutely nothing with her that might be interpreted as planning to stay (example don’t bring any of the documents she would need to adjust, only appropriate clothing for the weather at destination and duration of stay, etc)

Sounds like a good idea....Thanks for your input...But that is so risky tho....😊.. gonna sleep on it...

No categories were specifically identified in the order, all family categories are unbanned.

So she’s F2A, that may be a little tricky because there could be suspicion she will adjust status, does she have a permanent job or enrolled at college/university or something at home?

I understand and it makes sense, but unfortunately she is not in a enrolled in a college and she does not have a job....it is really tricky for real....

FYI the executive order has been rescinded a few days ago.

How old is she, over 21, under 21?

If she tries to visit suggest she brings strong proof of her ties to home/reasons why her stay in the US will only be a short one.

She will be 21 in two days time.  Thanks for your response.  I was looking at the information but I did not see where "permanent residence filing for minor" (F2 category I hink) was identified.  I see where other categories were mentioned.  Maybe an oversight on my part.

  6. Good morning, just a quick question.   My daughter has a visitor visa and she is being petitioned by her father who is permanent resident, she is awaiting interview (DQ) but due to the executive order that was signed her petition is on hold.  Just want to ask if it is possible she could visit US now for a short vacation, or would it create any problems with her current filing process?

    Hello everyone!

So we have a lawyer working on our case and we gave his assistant all the necessary paperwork on thursday. I asked them today and they have not submitted the paperwork because they say the system is down and say they have been checking everyday. I trust them because they have helped my Whole Family with immigration cases but this is frustrating. Is anybody having problems too? Thanks un advance.

I was able to submit documents yesterday...and I didn't have any issues at all...
