  1. Spoke with the NVC today...theoretically our case should have shipped out yesterday to Santiago. But the woman told me that they are not making any shipments right now to embassies. I asked her if it was due to the pandemic or the recent Executive Order (because the Consulate in Santiago is open) and she told me that they stopped making shipments because of COVID, prior to the EO. However, about 2 weeks ago the woman I spoke with who gave me our case number told me they WOULD be shipping our case once it was processed. It seems like no one is on the same page at the Consulate or NVC, but it appears as if we are all at the same standstill once we've made it to the NVC. I think they're all as confused as we are...

  2. Hello! My fiance and I have received a case number from the NVC, and our case is currently waiting to be shipped to Santiago. Does anyone have information or a copy of the P3? We are trying to stay ahead and complete what we can while we wait. Thank you in advance!

I have this information but not the P3. If and when you get a copy if you could share it with me it would be used to help others. Also, some of these links may not work so if you find the work around please let me know so I can update my information.

Unfortunately I don't have a true Packet 3 letter so if and when you get a copy can you PM me with it? Thanks.

This line is a little old from 2017 and should be used with caution.

https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-cl/iv This is the Embassy's website with all the information for Chile. You'll need to do a little exploring to find your answers.

    Also I have this https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/iv-dv-supplemental/SNT-Santiago.pdf

You should be over in the sub-forum for your area where you can ask some of the others who are applying and also there are some experts that can answer your questions.

Thank you!! I'll do some digging and look through everything. I'll certainly let you know if/when I get the P3 letter and whatever else I find out.

Woo hoo! We have a case number! We were approved April 1, and I called the NVC almost daily for the first couple weeks. I work in 9-1-1 healthcare here in the States so I've been a little busy/overwhelmed/stressed with work these days and haven't been keeping up with calling for well over a week now. But finally today I was able to call and wait on hold for an hour and to my great relief the wonderful woman at the NVC had a case and invoice number for me!! She told me that they WILL be shipping our packet and WILL be sending our case to the Embassy in Santiago, Chile, but that the Embassy is not doing interviews at the moment. I asked if she knows if they are on schedule for their "ship out" dates and she wan't able to give me a for sure date/answer. But they are still sending cases out to embassies which is such a relief to hear. I need to go back to the PDF from this thread and follow the instructions now that I have our number. But just wanted to post for everyone who is still waiting because we all need hope and answers from all the day to day craziness we're tackling lately 🙂🙃

@Greenbaum First, thank you as always for all your help and instructions! I'm going back to your PDF now, and wanted to ask if you have the P3 for Chile? Thanks again!

We're also waiting for the case number. We received our NOA2 on April 6, 2020 but when we checked it online using the USCIS status check, it was already approved by April 1, 2020. I hope we get it soon! 😔 Because my fiancé emailed them and they said they haven't received it yet and it could take up to 6 weeks.

My fiance and I were approved on April 1 as well. We are still awaiting our case number from the NVC, I was calling on a daily basis the first couple of weeks and kept being told they "haven't received/could take up to 6 weeks" every time. It's Sunday now but I will call again tomorrow, we're getting close to the 6 week mark, and some have seemed to get their case number in under 3 weeks so we're anxious! Could you please let me know if you get your number? Thank you!

  7. Hello everyone, I am wondering if anybody has any information beyond what little the news is stating regarding Trump's claim to "temporarily suspend immigration into the US"...has anyone read anything or heard anything further? I'm trying to find out more details and answers and not getting much right now. I truly hope this isn't going to be in full effect or hinder those of us currently in the K1 processes. If anyone finds out details as this comes out could you please post? Crossing my fingers for all of us 🤞

  10. It's been a couple days since I've been able to get on and update but, on April 1 WE GOT APPROVED!!!!!😄🥳

I'd been checking and refreshing my App on my phone multiple times a day for at least a week and when we hung up from a video chat I wishfully checked the App, refreshed it, and about lost my mind when I saw it had updated...I still check to make sure it wasn't an April Fool's joke hahaha.

I saw the approval on my Case Tracker app, and on the USCIS website, but as of today I still have not received a text (the text was the first notification I got back in December for our Noa1) or an email, so it was a surprise to see on the app. Just waiting to see if I'll get an email, and when the official notice comes in the mail.

We have been so so happy and relieved, it's like there's some true light at the end of this tunnel for us. I wanted to updated our timeline and I know how helpful it has been to see everyone else's posts and get some answers from those of us ahead of our case. Sorry that it has been  a couple days. Hope everyone is hanging in!

Hey all! I hopped on last night to see if approvals were rolling in and I practically jumped for joy when I saw! Our NOA1 is Dec 10th on USCIS so I hope we are right around the corner. I see on my case tracker app a few people around me have been approved 🥰

I am trying very hard to focus on getting our approval. I think last time I checked in I mentioned my fiancé needing to go back to Venezuela but his Peru residency was in limbo. His updated residency for Peru was approved and he picked up his new card the day he left, thank goodness. This means he can return and we can finish this all in Peru. But, of course now we are dealing with Covid-19. Peru has closed their borders until further notice so my fiancé is stuck in Venezuela. I know it will all work out in the end.

I have not seen him now for 6 months :( I just moved and have been busy getting our home ready for him. I hope he will be here sooner rather than later, I miss him dearly.

Congratulations on your approval! My fiancé and I are crossing our fingers for ours in the next week or so. We got our NOA1 December 10 so I’ve been on the edge of my seat 😬😬

I myself haven’t seen my fiancé since he had to go back to Chile in October and it is getting harder and harder every day we are apart! I never thought I could miss someone this much. Can’t imagine going many more months without seeing him now after all this COVID19.  If you need an ear feel free. We all need to vent! Good luck to you guys and thank you for the good news on the thread. Gives us hope to see everyone getting approved despite what the globe is facing.

I feel you on this, my fiance and I parted on Dec. 5 and haven't seen each other since. He's my only friend and during this hard and scary time, it hurts that we can't be together and we'd have to wait even longer. He was planning to visit me in April, but there's no chance with the travel bans and I don't want him getting sick.

We will get through this though, hang in there.

Thank you for your words. It just gets harder and harder to be away! Where are you at in your process, do you think you will feel effects of this too much?

My fiance is in Chile as well. Our case just moved from NVC to embassy today. Noa1 May of last year. I was in the same boat but trust that Everything will work out fine. Just keep busy and prepare things at home for his arrival. I contacted the embassy and they told me all interviews have been canceled as well. We have to be strong okay. Feel free to send me a message if you need to chat. I'm here.

Thank you! We got our NOA1 in December and things have been pointing to an early April NOA2. There’s still hope we get approved next month of course, it’s just the interview process in Chile after this mess. How long did it take for you from your NOA2 to the NVC

As a fellow Chilean, I must tell you that the American embassy in Chile is cancelling interview appointments for all visas for the time being so that's one thing we cannot do anything about. The only thing we can do is to keep waiting. Just hang in there because everything will clear out soon, hopefully.

Thank you. Yes he’s told me the situation in Chile is no better than we are here in the States...just concerned about delays with interviews for those that are ahead of us and causing a back log...but we’re all in the same boat. Like you said, nothing we can do. Just helpful to have this forum. Thank you.

Stay strong. Can you guys schedule talking more or FaceTime or Skype? Keep yourself busy- were you going to do any fixing up at your place before your fiancé arrived? Start working on that to keep your mind busy. I know it’s not helpful but everyone is in the same situation. Like literally everyone in the world. You guys can get through this and it’s just another hurdle in your journey you will look back on one day.

So we are fortunate enough that we can talk plenty on WhatsApp, we text and video constantly. And he had lived here with me last year, we moved into my apartment together when I moved. Luckily we have the memories we do to hold onto. We’ve missed the last 5 months together and it’s hard to not think the worst in this situation. But, no one has any answers and we’re all in the same boat so I’m just crossing my fingers and doing my best to stay positive (as much as any of us can right now).

Ughh yeah I didn’t even think about that. Me and my fiancé filed back in January and were hoping for a mid May NOA2. Our consulate is Montreal as well which is already a backed up embassy. We were hoping for him to move here by August but idk if that’s gonna be possible now :( wishing you all the best!

Yep, we filed in December and sounds like we were just ahead of you. There was a couple who filed a month ahead of us and they were in the 4 month range...I'm curious to find out if they have had any news since they got their NOA2 the other week. Thank goodness for this site, we can all try and keep each other informed some. Good luck to you as well...just trying to stay sane here. Fingers crossed for all of us.

So I’m guessing that those of us who are between NOA1 and NOA2 are okay? They are still processing cases but just the offices are closed? Correct me if I’m wrong

My fiance and I are between NOA 1 and NOA2, we were hopeful for an early April NOA2...even if they still process approvals, my main concern is that the consulates are shutting down which will cause all of the interviews that are scheduled/pending for the cases that were approved ahead of us to be cancelled and post poned...that will in the end cause a huge delay for us. At least that's what I fear and honestly expect, but hope to god I'm wrong. I certainly do not have the answer. I wish we knew more!

  18. Hi everyone,

I've been quiet and hunkered down for a while, but this COVID19 pandemic is beginning to make me and my fiance very nervous. I figured there aren't a lot of answers out there right now, things change day to day. Here in the States it's escalated rather rapidly with all of the shut downs. My fiance and I were beginning to have a lot of hope and get excited just a few weeks ago...I've gotten two emails (once as recent as 3/15)  from VJ regarding my timeline giving us an estimate for our NOA2 within the first week of April. Also, he has been in contact on another forum here with a woman from his country (Chile) who is an early November filer and she received her NOA2 on day 122 March 6th...we have seemed to be a month behind her and her fiance during our process so far and with the two emails I got it seemed hopeful. But now we are so anxious. It seems like all the shut downs will delay interviews, and those were already seeming to move so slowly that now I'll be surprised they don't get immensely back logged at the Consulate the longer they are closed. I have not seen my fiance since October 11th and we can't believe it could be another 3-5 months minimum until we see each other again. It was already difficult for me to arrange to visit him and now there's no chance...we are devastated and I am not doing well in the middle of all of this...
