We all started together, we went though roller coster of emotions and difficulties, and I am happy that all of us sticked together till we reached the happy finish line.

Hope all you guys have a wonderful life in the US and get succeed.

I may not be active a lot from now on. Wish you all good luck!

    Congratulations!!!

    Hey everyone,

I had my IR-1 interview yesterday at London (Jan 19th) and got approved! the interview lasted all of 5 minutes, two questions and didn't even ask to see my evidence of relationship. Probably because we got married in 2016 and we didn't file until 2019.

Now to hand in my notice at work and sort out shipping for my dog. Best of luck to everyone still waiting and thanks for all of your help!

Congrats congrats 🎉 so happy for you! May many more great news come soon.

The documentations that you have should be more then sufficient, I personally submitted an insurance for my wife and wasn’t a visitor insurance over all they never asked for it.

port of entry was NYC went pretty smooth less then 5 minutes, no questions asked, but I was the one asking questions, the agent stamped my wife passport then I realized he stamped the 2 years green card, after speaking to him he said to contact uscis directly, I paused then replied NO that’s incorrect sir.  Since I have been married for more then 2 years my wife should get a 10 years greens card. Then his boss came over and took care of it after she looked in the system and seen our marriage certificate. She corrected the stamp and said you are all set to go.

after a long journey we finally made it.

thank you for all the support.

Congrats congrats!!!! Finally the ling journey is over!!! Thanks for being supportive for us all as well!!  🎉

That’s good. Since other visas are banned you will get the interview date pretty quick.
Also there is a requirement for immigrants needing health insurance when they enter the country. Check that out. Recently court lifted a ban on that. I would say get a visitor’s health insurance when you get the interview date for a month or 2.

Thank you I hope it goes quickly. Regards to health insurance, I have documentation from my HR stating that my husband will be on my health insurance plan through my employer once approved and immediately as well.I submitted that as part of NVC documents. I don’t think we need visitors insurance since he will be on mine and within 30 days.

    Hey all,

Just curious, for those of you that filed early February 2019 like me, did you have to submit the "public charge" DS-5440 form? it didn't ask me to do it at CEAC, however I'm wondering whether I should fill it anyway and take it to the interview with me on Jan 19th?

For my understanding it is not required. I did not submit it and as of Dec 29, 2020, all of my documents were approved and accepted or "Documentarily Qualified." Now we are awaiting for my husband's interview. Maybe print it out and have it ready to be on the safe side? Now that you brought this up I'm going to have my husband do it as well.

Based on my knowledge, it is not required. See the link below for more information. DOS currently put the form on hold and will be updated later.

Thank you 🙏 and hopefully you hear something soon as well.

now we pray for the covid to go away.

Is the covid lockdown in France affecting the consulate

    Hey Youssef.

So USCIS has still not sent my documents to NVC. I have to give them 60 days from the date I received my I797 approval before I contact NVC again (per NVC research).
I don’t know if Paris embassy is open or not. All I know is as soon as I get my invoice number I’ll be able to start the online application.
Also hope Covid goes away too because they use that excuse as to why everything will take long.

    Hello Friends

we had the interview this morning and got the green slip ( visa approved),  and told us within 3 days to a week to pick up the passport from aramex,

interview lasted only minutes and the consulate only asked ( what’s his name , what type of work? Where will you be residing? How many times did he visited you? That’s all

best of luck for everyone 😍😍😍

So excited!!! Celebrate 🎊! I’m still awaiting my NVC number I called this week and I got the same message “you have to wait 6 weeks”. Priority approval date was Oct 2.

Wow finally!! Congratulations bro. You are done with the hard part. Now NVC is easy. That entire process you can complete in 2 weeks.

BTW what was your RFE and why did it take you 2 months to send it? Just curious if you don’t mind.

    Good luck bro!

Hey, my RFE was in need of a different marriage certificate for US (Copie d’integrale) or long form from France. The marriage certificate they gave me originally was an extract (which is a legal

doc) but US needs the first one.
-RFE took 2 months to send because I had to get my husband to request the document requested during Covid and everything was shut down especially in France. I finally got it June 1 and had to get it certified translated to English. So that’s why.

But thanks, I’m excited for the NVC process.

    an update

this morning I received DQ email, it took about 2 months from my approval date. Looks like they are moving pretty fast.

The National Visa Center (NVC) received all of the fees, forms, and documents that are required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview at a U.S. Embassy/Consulate General overseas.

NVC will work with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General

    good luck to everyone

Congrats congrats Youssef. I’m so happy for you.

    hey ...

so why they asked for RFE and what yoir case status now ...

    thanls

Hey! They only asked for a different copy of the marriage certificate. We got married in France and the copy that they gave us is legal but not for America and immigration so I’m getting the copy they want in May 11 once the mayors office I got married reopens in France. We are getting a official mailed and emailed so I can get it to immigration. I have until July 12, 2020 to respond but we will respond as soon as May 12-13.

  16.  I finally received an answer from USCIS today after my case was transferred from Neb to Vermont on 1/22/2020 (NOA1 2/19/2020). Unfortunately I have to submit “Request for Additional Evidence” and I don’t know exactly what it is that they are looking for as I have not received anything in the mail from them yet. I will update more once I receive.

Yes, finally you got a reply! Once you get the letter, process your evidence and send it ASAP, don't delay it. Everything will work out soon.

Thank you!! I have a folder organized with everything as “just in case.” And everything absolutely organized. Thank you for your support and I will priority mail over night once I know what it is that they want.

Thank you for responding to me and that’s exciting for you. Hope the interview date comes soon and this virus becomes more controlled to avoid any in person interview delays. I think I’m going to call this Friday to check in. Hope everyone is doing well and gets approved soon! I’m still waiting to hear something. Stay safe everyone.
