Call, and ask for technical assistance at each prompt.  It works!  This method was verified more than once last week.  Thanks to @Timona

It does not seem to be working . The voice just says: "I Understand you want to speak to someone but  I can help you here" and after many attempts it says " I am going to end the call" and hangs up. 😕

Sending the form is correct but USCIS is not aware of the new case # assigned by NVC

i would send email to NVC and the embassy to inform them of the change as you wait for interview

if the embassy does not yet have your case,  send the email when they are in receipt of the packet

Make sure the email has the new Case #,  both names and both DOB's

and i hope the email ID is the one you gave on all documents for notifications

to be really safe , forward to your spouse so she can print it out and take to the embassy appointment

cover all the bases with immigration

To me the way immigration  does things promotes loss of information and the system needs a good overhaul

@JeanneAdil we have had the interview and she was granted a visa and is currently living with me in the US.

  3. @JeanneAdil  I am wanting to contact USCIS as I want to make sure that our address has changed after submitting AR-11 forms online through MyUSCIS website. We are awaiting my spouse's Green Card and have moved twice in the past two months and need to make sure they know where to send it and that our address is up to date in their database as required by law.

  4. As of recent USCIS has adopted an automated system where you have to speak or use the key pad to advance. 9 times out of 10 it doesnt work properly and just says  that it will now hang up, then the line goes dead . Has anyone spoken to a live person and if so how do you get them ?

    Thanks

  5. Hello All,

I am petitioning my wife who is currently in Beirut, Lebanon. We are at the NVC stage awaiting an interview date. Which  has been delayed due to COVID-19.

    A few questions:

    1) Does anyone has a list of questions that we could go over that would be great. Or at least point me in the right direction

    2) Any other tips or advice you may have for us at this stage of obtaining my wife's documents?

    3) I am a US Citizen currently living in Seattle , as I understand I WILL NOT have to attend a separate interview myself, is that correct ?

    Thank you in advance.

  6. Hello we received an email from NVC saying that all the documents were accepted and on CEAC everything is listed as accepted. In the email itself it says that the NVC will work with the local embassy in Beirut to schedule an appointment.

However the in the Step 10: Interview Preparation on the Travel.State.Gov website when I navigate to Applicant Interview it has my wife, who is the applicant, set up an account on CGI FEDERAL to provide her address and to schedule an interview appointment.  As can be seen in the attached screen shots below.

    So my question is:

Do I wait for the NVC and the embassy to schedule the interview or should I have my wife schedule one through this CGI FEDERAL portal? Or is the CGI Portal just to upload her address in case they need to send her documentation through the local Postal Service?

    Thank you in advance

  7. Hello everybody,

I am writing here to ask about the list of Civil Documents that need to be collected to submit along with the CS-260. I am petitioning for my wife. I am an American citizen living in the US and she is Lebanese living in Lebanon.  We have our NVC Case number and Invoice ID Number.

We have a number of documents and want to make sure what we have is accurate and that we dont need anything else.  The NVC website directs us to a Document Find page linked here. However when I navigate to find the documents required for a CR-1 Visa there is no mention of the CR-1 or the IR-1 for Lebanon or for any other country for that matter.

Does anyone know where I can get a reliable list of what Civil Documents are needed for a CR-1 Visa for an immigrant immigrating from Lebanon? Or just a list required for the CR-1 ?

    Thank you,

  8. Thank You pushbrk

We are not going through Mumbai as she is currently in Lebanon not India. So we are going through Beirut.

    Just a quick follow up.

So even though my 2019 income is below the poverty line, ( since I only started working in December of 2019), I will not need a Joint Sponsor as my current income is above the 125% of the poverty line.

How do I prove to the NVC that my current income or projected income will suffice to sponsor my spouse without providing Tax evidence?

    Thanks

  9. Hello,

I am a US Citizen and I am sponsoring my spouse who is a Lebanese citizen currently living in Lebanon.

I just received a "Notice of Immigrant Visa Case Creation" from the National Visa Center(NVC) with a case number and an Invoice ID Number. I went ahead and already paid both fees :

    1) For the Affidavit of Support

    2)For the IV Application.

I recently started working and last year I did not file taxes as I was a full time student. I did work through the month of December 2019 and filed this years taxes about a month ago.(Married Filing Separately) . The income listed on my W2 is only for the month of December so my Year to Date is below the poverty line. However, my projected income based on the contract with the firm I am currently employed full time at is well above poverty line.

    1) So my question is will I require a joint sponsor for my wife's application? If so do I need to have the submit their I-864 from the get-go when I submit my separate I-864 ?

    2) Is there a way to use Projected Income to act as proof for the Affidavit of Support ?

    3) Which form is more applicable to fill out the I-864 or the I-864EZ

    Thank you,

    Gerrard

  10. have not filed any taxes since 2013 since I was a student for 2 of the years and the rest I was living abroad in Lebanon and not making enough to file taxes abroad. I am now a full time employee, working in my field, at a reputable  firm in Seattle and started working in early December 2019. So there is some income on my 2019 W2. so here are my questions:

    1) Should I consider finding a co sponsor since I have not filed taxes in 5 years

    2) What should I do about not having filed taxes ? Will this delay the process ? If so how can I avoid these delays ?

    Thank You

  11. Hello All,

I have a question about the affidavit of support and taxes when in the NVC stage. I am a US citizen and I am currently living here in the United States. My Spouse is living in Lebanon and I have already submitted the I-130 Package back in the beginning of October. Our case has yet to be approved but I want to be on top of things and snub out any problems before they arise.

I have not filed any taxes since 2013 since I was a student for 2 of the years and the rest I was living abroad in Lebanon and not making enough to file taxes abroad. I am now a full time employee, working in my field, at a reputable  firm in Seattle and started working in early December 2019. So there is some income on my 2019 W2. I was advised to obtain the IRS Form 4506-T . so here are my questions:

    1) Should I consider finding a co sponsor since I have not filed taxes in 5 years

    2) What should I do about not having filed taxes ? Will this delay the process ? If so how can I avoid these delays ?

  12. Hello All,

I am a US citizen and I am currently living here in the United States. My Spouse is living in Lebanon and I have already submitted the I-130 Package back in the beginning of October. I know the process takes time. I was wondering if there is anything I can do while we wait for our case to move from USCIS to the National Visa Center? Certain documents or what have you? Also when I submitted the I-130 I had just graduated and still had not found employment but now I am fully employed with a full time job. Is there anything I should do or be worried about? Thank You in advanced.
