Hi just got status change message to case actively reviewing 🤔 hope for the best who knows what??🙏🙏 prayers for all who are waiting.

Now that's a very good sign! I've seen people getting approved the next of a few days after getting actively reviewing status change. I'm happy for you. After almost 18 months waiting, any changes is a good.

  2. So I thought I'd share an update I got on my October 2019 case. I just found out through my senator's case worker that our case was transferred to field office for an interview; It's been stuck there since July 2020. He told me that USCIS said to wait three more weeks and they will likely schedule an interview. I don't even know, like most of you here, I don't want to get my hopes up, but they giving us a time frame seems like a little hope.

Our senator's case worker has been very proactive on our case and even suggested to call him back if we don't hear anything within three weeks. If you guys haven't contacted your senator/congressman and have been waiting since 2019, it wouldn't hurt to try. Although they can't request to approve your case, they can submit an inquiry on your behalf that will trigger USCIS to look at your case and maybe take some action.

What really makes me angry is that my wife knows some people who filed within two weeks of us that have been approved and one is NVA already. Of course they're application is at the Nebraska office. She's part of a community of people going through this process in Thailand and said in the past week an average of 8 people a day have posted that they have been approved. Which frustrates me more.

Just out of curiosity what are the last names of the US citizens applying for their spouse? Mine is Le.

I feel you. It's hard to see people getting approved within weeks or months max.  I was told that country of the beneficiary matters (but that wouldn't apply on your case) and then each case is different with so many variables. My last name is Ruiz.  I hope you we all hear something good soon

Hi  is anyone have any good news ? It's been painful15 months annoying wait.🙏🙏

We're still waiting too. 15 months have passed and nothing; It's so frustrating because my husband lives here with me and he's not able to work because he doesn't have an EAD. I contacted my lawyer and he said it's a waiting game now because of COVID. Not like USCIS has been fast anyway. I hope with this new administration things move faster for all of us; will keep you guys posted if I hear anything.

Has anyone applying from abroad had any luck updating their mailing address? Petitioner and beneficiary live abroad so have no access to online tools, filed online.

Husband and I moved in October and I've been trying to update it with absolutely no luck. Chatted with Emma early Nov and was advised to mail a letter to VSC notifying them of the changes. Letter was accepted but no updates made, so I called USCIS last week and got my situation reffered to a Tier 2 officer so they could update address on the system within 7 business days.

Today was 7th business day and I received a form email saying my case was "is pending and is within our current processing time" but no update to my address on MyUSCIS. When I go to the MyUSCIS profile screen it  just says our address can't be updated at this point in the process.

Guessing I probably have to call again, but wondering if anyone has successfully managed to deal with this.

Have you tried  AR-11 through USCIS website? I've read once you submit a petition and want to change address at a later point, this is the best way to do so.

Hi I just checked today now I have three tabs instead of two and in case history tab the message is saying that invalid date case was received and A receipt notice was emailed. Is anyone have this message 🤔 this is new tab case history? Just came today??

I just checked mine and it's same as yours :(. It's been over 13 months now

No beneficiary is in abroad I also wonder why they send our case to field office then ??🤔 Is anyone else experiencing the same?

My husband is in the US. He has an administratively closed case with immigration court that's need to terminate before filing I485, so a transfer to local field office could mean an interview for us. Otherwise, I've read that transfers to local field offices are part of normal routine processing.🤔

Hi  yes it's so frustrating our case is still in field office since May 8 no info and when we try to make a inquiry on line last week it didn't let me, saying our case is not out of processing time so we can't put it bc VT is processing 2018 cases.😠 Does anyone have same experience if not then how were you able to put inquiry??🤔

I tried to put an inquiry but got a generic reply saying that my case was still within normal Vermont processing time.  For your case, is the beneficiary in the US? Because they normally transfer  I130 to field office for interview. Let's hope we hear something soon.

Yes you have to believe it very annoying and frustrating process 😠 lucky you at least you are together we are waiting for more than a year in different countries for approval, same with us no notification for transfer and now they're saying it is in Field office not in Vermont God knows what is going on.🤔😠

Same here. I contacted USCIS back in September they told me it was transferred to field office. Then, I called them again a couple of weeks ago and this time they told me it was back in Vermont and not in field office anymore. It's so confusing and frustrating.

Hmmm....I just checked my uscis account and I used to have a last touch date from May but now that's gone and there is only a general message that says we have received your case and are reviewing. Has anyone encountered the same?? What happened to that May update???

Same here. I read on a Facebook group that's a glitch. Also, some people say it's a new format. I now have three tabs -  case status, case history and documents; There's no info in the case history tab though.

    Alright, update!

After receiving the generic: "we have a ton of petitions to get through and yours is in review" message, we received a date change on our My USCIS account, and now today we finally were approved! It was almost an entire year of waiting but finally, we are on to the next step. Now to just wait for our NVC correspondence.

Congratulations!! I'm happy for you guys! Now you can move forward with your case :)

  12. So I called USCIS a couple of times during the last two weeks. The first time, they told me our case has been transferred to my local field office for further processing and I should hear from my field office in 1-3 months. The second time I called, they told me that our case is still at Vermont and that I should follow its timeline. I'm so confused now. Anybody with similar experiences here?

Thank you I hope and pray you and all other October's filler will approve  soon 🙏🙏🙏. Not sure about interview bc my partner isn't in US 🤔 do you mean petitioner interview? Do u know anyone  who is petitioner and called by uscis for interview in US before approval of i130.

Back in the days you could do an infopass appointment to get info from local field offices. Now, sadly, it's a frustrating wait game. I'm not aware of petitioners being called for interviews; it should be the beneficiary who has to go through interview if not in the US. In our case, my partner resides in the US but has an immigration case administratively closed for 6 years now. Our lawyer told us that because he was in removal proceedings years ago, we'd have to file I-30 first and either expect an interview from USCIS or a RFE. They should make a decision after that.

Hi everyone just want to share my update called uscis  a week ago spoke with tier 2 told me that my case is transferred to field office ny on May 8 and they will make a decision on our case no more info after that 🤔 any one have a experience about this situation what's next?? What is field office function in this ? it's been 302 days since petition filed 😔.

Same here. I spoke to a USCIS agent and he told that my case was forwarded to local field office on July 1st and that they should make a decision within 90 days. My guess is that it was transferred to schedule a interview; We will see 🤞 . Hope you hear from your field office soon!

So quick update on my Request For Outside Normal Processing Times...

We never received a transfer notice, however, it would seem that our processing center was definiately transferred to Vermont because the email we received back was from that office and they said that we were still within their processing times even though we were originally in Nebraska and never notified about the transfer.

However, at the bottom of the email it says that it should be finished up within 60 days since it's with an agent. Not sure if this is a canned reponse or not though.

Hey again Ritchie! I also tried to file ONPT through an agent over the phone but was told that if Vermont has jurisdiction over our case then we have to use Vermont processing times as reference, which is pretty frustrating because on the uscis website, says they are still processing cases from mid 2018. From what I've read on other threads, a lot of IOE cases don't get transfer notices because, they aren't physically moved to another location.

I really hope the 60 days time frame you mentioned brings some approvals for our cases soon! 🤞

I tried doing it online and it said i'm not outside normal processing time now (since i'm in Vermont timelines I guess)

I saw some posts on other thread of people that were transferred from Texas SC being able to request ONPT through uscis live/phone agents. You could be right about the timeline now being Vermont's, but I'd still ask an agent or T2 officer. Hope you can get something sorted out soon. Best of luck! :)

I submitted in February 2019 to Nebraska, transferred to Vermont in Feb 2020.  I haven't received anything, no date changes, no info.  When I called and spoke to a level 2 office last month they said my status has been "Needs Review" since February.  Seems like lots of people with applications much later than mine have already been processed.  Any idea how to get this unstuck or what may be going on?

Have you asked if you can submit an 'outside of processing time' request?  Considering that Nebraska is doing May 2019 cases for US citizens at the moment. You could try doing it online on uscis processing times webpage or asking a uscis representative.

  18. I just finished chatting with a live agent and she said my case was transferred from Nebraska to Vermont on February 23. This is a little disappointing considering Vermont and California have the slowest processing rate, but I was reading on November filers thread that some who have had their cases transferred from Texas and Nebraska were  approved according the the original service center time lines; I hope that's the case for all transfers.

My latest date change was May 7.

Good luck to you all and hope we can see more October filers approvals soon!

Congratulations!! Thank your for creating this thread and sharing your waiting journey! I just found out my case was transferred from

Nebraska to Vermont on February 23rd, which wast the second date change and that got me a bit disappointed, but reading this gives me hope.  My other date change was on May 7th, so let's see if I get another date change soon or even better, an approval! :).
