I’m in similar situation arrived 12/28/20 received green card but no social upon calling social security the first time they said to wait 2 weeks after 2 weeks I called they told me 4 and after that I was told 6-8 weeks it’s just a eating game at this point:/

If the email doesn’t show don’t worry just attend the interview. We were told the same thing and never received the email.

They took tax transcripts for 2019, police certificate, birth certificate , marriage certificate and 1 passport size picture. 
He wasn’t  asked a lot of questions.

who were the ppl I filed for before

how did your wife get to America 

who filed for her 

who are the names on your wife tax return 

they asked to see pictures. ( he had an album so they asked him to just flip tru and she them).

They called from a private number. They asked about an email I should have received with the apt instructions etc but advised to attend the interview even if I don’t receive it.

Great news, got cancelled for sept 9 apt. Got rescheduled today for nov 9

I know it’s sucks but  on the positive side of it, if your spouse travel after you guys  2 year wedding  anniversary they will get a 10 year green card  vs  now only to get get a 2 year green card  and having to go through another interview  and paying more fees down the line ( something I wish I was aware of). I’m praying you will get a reschedule interview  at the perfect time 🙏🏾.  It’s going to work on perfectly for you! 

You are absolutely right. Nothing happens before it’s time.

Thanks for sharing, it’s just crazy that they’ll be canceling all appointments to have that back log again. Especially since both the US and JA government says we have to learn to live with COVID and the show must go on.

Yes had him check that out when I started the process, he only needed 2 hopefully that’s it.
