the 12 sneakers comment was in responce to pedroh's "white sneakers a deadly weapon" comment. i don't know how many were actually kicking the kid after he was ko'd. 6 kids x 2 feet each = 12. thats where i get "12" where do you get your information?

I would point out that it isn't 'illegals crossing into Canada', but 'people entitled to benefits while LEGALLY seeking refugee status.' Slightly different problem.

While Canada may not want to, it's easy enough to change the law to say that people with pending refugee claims aren't entitled to public benefits.

From what I've read most of the complaints on behalf of the Jena Six aren't that they don't deserve to be charged at all, but that the charges are excessive compared to similar incidents where the kids were let off with a warning or a small punishment. (And I think the kid with the shotgun got in trouble because after he took it away from the white kid, he tried to give it to the cops.)

The kid who was beat up had a mild concussion and a black eye that was so bad he was able to go to a school party that night. Aggravated assault, maybe, but attempted murder? The kids aren't heroes but sending them to prison for up to 20 years over a black eye seems wrong.

6 on 1 caused by racial tensions is not aggravated assault. it is a hate crime. at the very least it is attempted manslaughter. they (6 on 1) were not trying to beat him up, 1 or 2 could have done that. 6 on 1 is a beat down to send him to intensive care or worse.

can't wait to see how understanding & sympathetic canadians are in a couple years.

they are also protesting, because weeks before, one of the suspects got assaulted by 3 white men, not kids, and police didn't press charges, also, another kid threatened him with a shotgun, the black kid tried to grab the shotgun from the kid, u know, to avoid being shot, and they press charges against the black kid because of burglary!!! what about the threat?? I think that's ###### up... i think that is unfair

i agree charges should be brought against the 3 white guys and the kid for pulling out the shotgun. as for the charges against these 6, i'd say they are deserved also, including not giving the gun back (he should have turned it over to the police).

5x a week-i mix w/ protien shakes (BSN syntha-6 vanilla ice cream & strawberry) yum much better tasting than water. muscles & joints feel much better the next day after weights & judo. i'm 36 i need all the help i can get.

I think any conflict would be a fast one. Maybe Syria might try to pile on but they are not much of a power. I am worried that Iran has been given a few tactical nukes by Russia and I don't think they would hesitate to use them. Iran is the loose cannon in the mid-east and I fear they will be the match that lights to whole area on fire. Israel is rightly worried about Iran because of the specific threats they have made and because of their obvious intention to attain nuclear weapons. This may get ugly very soon.

absolutley agree. but as to the question who would win.....if nukes are used we all lose.(nuclear winter) in a conventional war. thats going to be decided by China. the middle eastern alliances are fairly even, whoever China backs would come out on top.

Isreal...their air force is superior. but, it wouldn't be 1 on 1. it would turn out to be WW3. there are too many entangling alliances.
