Update on State department website says K1 visas are finally getting approved for a National Interest Exception in the currently banned countries (Schengen area). Emailed NVC and the Paris embassy to confirm we don’t need to do anything further, but really hoping this translates to good news... If anyone hears anything further on their apps let us know!

How were you able to transfer your case? We are also Dec 2019 filers and still stuck at NVC. 

same question, how were you able to do the xfer? Also I didn’t think anyone in the Schengen area was processing them, is Czech Republic the only one or are there others? @mryrth 

Anybody’s NVC app go out today? French embassy opened yesterday so was hoping mine would go out but status still shows at NVC

If the appointment is past your NOA2 expiration date you must bring a letter requesting an extension from the petitioner on the day of the interview + updated letter of intent to marry from both of you.

 

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. As an update, I emailed on Thursday and got a reply on Saturday morning with my case number! 🥳 I did the little backwards math to find out the assignment date (thank you for that) and it was 4/24. Really hoping we go out in the 5/12 shipment. Is that a realistic timeframe ?

Im getting the feeling (based on my Amazon shipments lol) that international mail is being quarantined for 14 days when it travels. Any idea if that’s happening with these case packages too?

I’ll be emailing NVC today, I had been discouraged from emailing them to update my email when i saw the website say they wouldn’t reply to inquiries, but reading through this forum looks like they’re being very kind about it all.

I just got my approval notification today! NOA1 was 1/2/2020 which means almost 3 months to the day. My fiancee and I are so extremely excited!
