Just do a change of address on both DLs, it shouldn’t take longer than 10 days to get them in the mail, or use the provisional license they issue. You do need to do a change of address with USCIS within 10 days of moving.

@mindthegap made his own sticker. @beasty says same day in Florida.

Try scheduling an appointment in Virginia and they next one is about 90 days out. Last address change I did resulted in my address being updated in the system. No new DL issued.

Its was different in every state and the pandemic has not made issues any better.

Make the address change, if a new DL is not offered, ask. if refused, work with what you have and tie it all together.

Every item in your petition helps complete a picture for USCIS don't get stuck on one item.

  2. I would. Along with a note saying that you have moved. It shows that you stayed at the same address and moved together to a new address.

This will give you the opportunity to add more proofs (bills, leases) from multiple addresses. Stronger case in my opinion.

Have you updated your address at the DMV? Make sure you complete the change of address as required by the state in case USCIS checks

I have lived in several states and they all do it differently. Some place a sticker on your DL, others just update their records and yet some reissue the license.

  3. Each item shows a different side of your relationship, so multiple things help complete the picture. Basically present as complete a picture from when/how you met up till when you file.

    Attach it all.

Letters, phone bills, screenshots of chats, emails, travel history to Ghana or US, photos together with family, wedding photos, birth cert of kids if any, combined finances (listed as 401k beneficiary, joint tax returns, joint accounts, credit cards), lease agreement, insurance (these are just a few of the proofs that you can add)

Mine was submitted via mail so I have not seen the options displayed in the electronic format but it is the same documents that is being asked for. As some things may not be available to you due to both of you are not in the same place so submit what you have.

I would recommend affidavits as a very last option they don't count for much. You can get anybody to sign anything these days.

Ooh okay did they update it and how long ago did you get yours done because I did get mail from them about a week and send it back as soon as possible they have mail now .they asking me for marriage death certificate that’s the only thing they asking for how long do I still need to wait someone says 2 to 3 months

I believe you have to wait about 3 months before you can call to inquire.

But then what they have asked for looks simple enough and is very specific so fingers crossed. Sounds like just one check box for them to tick off

For dates look at my timeline.

  5. First if you look at other embassy reviews, you will see the likely questions.

But almost all likely questions are from what was submitted and as long as you know your fiancé/spouse you will know those answers.

I don't get why all the practice.

I think that it is all the extra perfect similar answers to the very simple questions that is making it more difficult for those coming after
