My husband and I had our interview yesterday. The interview notice got lost in the mail and we only had 4 days to do the medical. We finished it in time but it was a busy 4 days. We got approval on the spot. We are same sex couple from Canada. I’m adjusting form a NAFTA visa. The officer asked me about my previous approved I140 petition. And how our relationship started. We are in Los Angeles and we finished  the process in 6 months. Good luck everyone hang in there.

I wanted to update everyone. I called USCIS on January 10, the help center told me that they've scheduled my interview but have not sent a mail yet. So I thought, he must be right knowing Los Angeles schedules interview 12-18 months. I was not worried with a wrong address because I changed my address back in October 2019, of which I received my EAD with the new address in Nov 2019.
Well, last friday January 24, I found the mail I've been waiting for mailed to my old address in December 19. I live in the same building and I just changed apartment 3 floors up. The mail was left just above the mailbox so everyone can see. I opened the mail and I was scheduled for an interview today, January 29. I had medicals done last saturday and thankfully picked up the enveloped from the Dr. the day before the interview.

So the interview went well. We were not separated. It was questions about how our relationship developed and names of our parents. I had a previous I140 petition back in 2006 which was also approved and he asked me about it. I gave him everything I could gather regarding joint accounts etc. He approved our petition right after we left.

It was a busy last 4 days. I took time off from work to get all the paper work ready. Our lawyer wasn't even able to appear because it was too short notice.

I am just glad that this chapter is over for now.
    Thanks everyone who replied!

Hi everyone. I’ve been just reading the posts the last few months and I thought I should share my timeline.
We are a same sex couple. I’m Canadian married to a USC. I’m on a TN status through the NAFTA visa. We filed July 23, 2019. I received my combo card in Nov 21. Just today I received a notification that we’ve been scheduled for interview. I’m in Los Angeles county. I wasn’t really expecting to get interview notice until maybe second quarter next year. So I’m a bit surprise. We are going to start gathering the documents needed for the interview now. I’m going to update when the interview is done. Good luck everyone!
