  1. Hello again. If you don't mind me asking, when you said "We had something prepared for that but the CO didn't request any proof". does that mean you prepared the exact place on where you guys where going to to live in the US, such as an apartment or house? I'm guessing your husband provided a photocopy of his Federal individual income tax return? The reason why I believe your husband provided a photocopy is because in the instructions says "Do not include copies of these forms if you provide an IRS transcript of your Federal individual income tax returns rather than a photocopy". Unless you filed joint income tax return with your spouse. Thank you.
  2. Hi guys, I'm the US Citizen spouse currently filling out the online ds-260 for my wife and had a couple questions. 1. Should I list my wife's YouTube account name even though she only watches videos? 2. For the permanent address. My mom is the only person who lives in the United States. Can I list her address in the Permanent Address section even though she lives in a one bedroom apartment? 3. For Family in the children section. My son is already a US Citizen. The question asks "Is this child immigrating to the U.S. with you?" Should I answer "NO"? 4. In Work/Education/training. It ask "In which occupation do you intend to work in the U.S.?" Are they picky with this question? I answered education because my wife is a certified Korean teacher. 5. In Security and Background. It ask "Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccination in accordance with U.S. law?" I read different answers to this question. Is answering "No" with an explanation saying "DOCUMENTATION WILL BE PROVIDED AT MEDICAL EXAMINATION PERFORMED PRIOR TO IMMIGRANT VISA INTERVIEW." correct? Thanks!
  3. it's from this website https://ceac.state.gov/IV/ I'm not sure if it opens form the official USCIS webpage. When I look at the URL, it just says ceac.state.gov
  4. While filing out DS-260. I noticed that it has an expiration date. The expiration date already passed. I paid for DS-260 last week. What should I do?
  5. Thank you for your answer. After I arrive home, I will double check what paperwork she got.
  6. Thank you for your reply. This is a silly question, but what does "withdrew application" mean? Some more info if it makes a difference or not, but she was interrogated for a couple of hours. She was suppose to see me and be in the US for 80+ days. We were not married back then. Also, she can't use ESTA anymore.
  7. I was wondering if anyone has experience or has the correct answer. My wife was denied entry with an ESTA in a US international airport in the pass because of immigration intent. In her passport, it says "Customs and Border Protection Refused in accordance with INA section 217. R38024". Question 1: My wife did receive an ESTA. Silly question, is that considered a U.S. Visa? I answered "no", but I want to double check. Question 2: It then ask "Have you ever been refused a U.S. Visa, been refused admission to the United States, or withdrawn your application for admission at the port of entry?" I answered yes, but can anyone guide me on how can I explain it to them without issues? Mr. @pushbrk I'm apologize for disturbing you, I remembered you helping me with a similar question in the past, but it was for Form I-130. I was wondering if you have any knowledge in this type of scenario on the questions I'm asking above? Thank you. My old post:
  8. I need help with Part 6. Sponsor's Employment and Income. Both my spouse (beneficiary) and I (US citizen) work abroad. The income cannot be continued after we move to the US. Question 1: Silly question, but is the image below correct on what I need to do? I put zero for current individual income because I won't be continuing my line of work when I get back to the states. Question 2: Since my current income is $0, do I need to put my wife's (Beneficiary) info in Person 1, Item Number 8 - 11? Also, since my wife's income can't be continued after we move, her income will also be $0. The reason why I'm asking is because in the instructions, it says "If your individual annual income listed in Item Number 7, is greater than 125 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines for your household size from Part 5., item Number 8., you do not need to include any other household member's income. " Thank you to anyone who can answer these questions 🙂
  9. The principal immigrant is my wife. I meant my son(Us Citizen), should I put him anywhere for 864?
  10. I believe this is my last question, do I need to put his information anywhere in the 864 form or just putting a "1" is all is needed?
  11. Thank you for your response. I'm guessing for Part 3 (Family Member 1: 4a. to 8 ) I leave blank? Or should I put his name there? So me putting "0" for part 3, 5, 6 , 7 is correct because it isn't applicable to me?
  12. Thank you for your response. By re-reading the instructions, it says "Item Number 4.a -28. Family Members Immigrating More than six months after the Principle Immigrant If you are filing this Form I-864 for the principal immigrant's family members who are immigrating more than six months after the principal immigrant, you should list the names and other requested information in the spaces provided in Item Numbers 4.a. - 28." Since my son is 5 years old, he will come with us once we leave to the US. I'm still confuse if I should put his name in "Family Member 1". Do I need to check the box for Item number 2? My other question is why does my son needs a sponsor when he is an American citizen and can come to the US anytime he wants with me? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I did that, but when I re-read the instructions. It says "Type or print "0" if you are not married". That part of the instructions is confusing because wouldn't putting "0" mean that I'm not married? The image below is what I currently have.
  13. The problem with the instructions is that it says "Type or print "0" if you are not married".
  14. Before I start, I (US citizen) is sponsoring my spouse (beneficiary). We have a child who is a US Citizen. Form I-894 For Part 2 #6: I filed our Form I-130 using the USCIS website. The instructions says if I filed an application using the online filing system, I should have got one. I tried looking, but no luck. I even looked at the Form I-130 approval letter, but wasn't even there. Are you suppose to get a USCIS Online Account Number if you filed Form I-130 online? Part 3: Family Member 1 Do I need to list our child for Family Member 1? He is a US citizen. Part 5. Sponsor's Household Size From what I read online. I leave number 3 blank because I already put the beneficiary in number 1. Please look at the image below.
  15. My Form I-130 was approved 2 years ago. We delayed the NVC stage because we were not ready to move to the US. Both I (US Citizen) and my wife (Beneficiary) moved to a new house about a year ago after Form I-130 was approved. Do I need to notify NVC that we have moved to a new location? The reason why I'm asking this is that I'm currently doing Form I-864 and I need to put our address.
  16. Do you or anyone knows if I and my wife have to print out our foreign bank statements for proof when I submit form I-864? Is there an official way to do this? Also, how can I officially convert the currency exchange rates from Korean won to USD? I'm guessing the reason why my current income is Zero is because I can't continue my current job when I move to the USA? @ROK2USA did you and your spouse put income as zero because you said in an earlier post that submitted proof of income (work contract)? I'm guessing that (work contract) is a work contract from Korea.
  17. If you don't mind me asking, did you use a sponsor or did you do what I'm trying to do and do it without a sponsor? How did you this part? Did you use a word document to explain your situation, print it out, and signed it with your signature? Do you know how I can find this group of people. I tried googling it, but no luck. Good luck. ^^
  18. Thank you for the information. Different accounts, but I just combined the numbers together. @ROK2USA If you don't mind me asking, what was your experience with filing form I 864?
  19. I currently live and work in South Korea. We are a household of 3. I'm trying to avoid a sponsor. We have about 200k in multiple Korean bank accounts. Is this enough to avoid a sponsor and move on with the application?
  20. After I-130 is approved, how much more time it takes to get an interview with NVC? My I-130 got approved a long time ago, but I'm going to continue with the process. It says I need to do Step 2(Complete an Immigrant Visa(IV) Application (form DS-260)). And Step 3(Submit required financial and civil documents)
