  1. Hi everybody.

I completed filling up my N-400 form and getting ready to mail it. I just wanna know if I'm forgetting something.

I'm filing based on holding a green card for 7 years ( I'm also still married to the same us citizen spouse ).

So here is what I'm sending :

    A completed form N-400.

A copy of green card front and back.

    2 passport photos.

    A check for $680.

So is that all ? I've read I don't have to send any documents as proof of my marriage to an us citizen since it's been over 3 years, Am I correct ?

Any help would be much appreciated :)

  2. No disrespect intended, but I had a tough time reading your post and making sense of precisely what has happened. For me, this is another reason for you to get a lawyer, because I don't think you can clearly explain your case in English. That doesn't mean you're not smart or a bad person, but you need help articulating this, and hopefully getting it resolved.

I disagree with you... English is my third language and I still completely understood his post. I feel sorry for him for all the bullshit he had to go through.

  3. Hi.

I'm trying to fill out form N-400. I have a question about Part 1 Information about your illegibility. I'm not sure witch box I should check because both boxes 1 and 2 apply to me since I lived in the states for over 5 years and I also have been married and living to the same us citizen spouse.

I was wondering if picking one option over the other would make a difference in the process.

    Thank you !

  4. It's blasted all over the "Welcome to America" letters you get when your GC is approved. And USCIS will not agree that it is not a big deal, it is cause for a denial of citizenship.

haha you really think I would willingly not register if I have seen it on the welcome letter.I'm pretty sure I'm not the first to not register and sure not everybody gets denied for that reason...thx for the info though very helpful .

  5. Thank you guys. I'm gonna send the status request letter to the sss and see what happens.

You might already be registered with selective services without even knowing. That is what happened to me. I assume I was automatically registered through my immigration application. To check if you are in the books, go to https://www.sss.gov/RegVer/wfVerification.aspx

I did check and it said no records were found. So I guess I did not register :)

  6. Hi.

I entered the united states when I was 21 yrs old through a marriage visa. I got the restrictions off my Green card 3 years after that. Now I'm 28 yrs old and wanting to apply for citizenship, While reading the requirements I came across the selective services registration requirement witch was the first time I've heard I was required to register. I went to their website to register and It wouldn't let me because I'm too old now.

Does this mean I will not be approved for citizenship ? What can I do to correct this ? Any help is much appreciated

  7. how did you send your package??? I am trying to organized it so they can make a decision faster. I am attaching a cover letter to each evidence like car insurance, health insurance, birth certificates, etc etc etc and also I am using tabs. any ideas?

That's exactly how I sent mine, you should send some family pictures and I sent 4 affidavits from friends and plenty of utility bills and other documents with our names and address.

Thank you everybody.Good luck for you all.

  8. Hi everybody.

As the topic's title says I got a great surprise today after I had a long week at work.I received the approval letter today witch scared the crab outta me before I opened it because I thought there was noway I got approved in 10 days after I did the biometrics, yes 10 days  pretty fast huh,I did the biometrics on Oct 23rd and the approval decision was made on Nov 3rd (My birthday lol ).

anyway I wish you guys all good luck, and for those who are getting ready to file I have one advise, pack your package very well, make it as easy to inspect as possible and send plenty of evidence. And one more thing, don't drive yourself crazy checking the case status online that will not change or make your case go any faster, all it's gonna do is give you a headache though :D

  10. I think it's plenty, you hit the most important ones: Tax returns with both your names, some joint accounts, lease, child birth's certificate, insurance.

I wouldn't send 4 affidavits, sounds desperate in my opinion. But if you think they will help with your case, it's your decision.

I think you have enough good evidence. I am sending mine on Tuesday.

I agree 4 affidavits looks kinda desperate but we are dealing with USCIS :D and they request 2 at least so 2 more is no big deal.

  11. Hi everybody.

I'm mailing I-751 tomorrow and wondering if this enough evidence to submit.

    • A copy of our son’s birth certificate and social security card.

    • A copy of my green card (Front and back). A copy of mine and my wife’s driver license with same address.

    • Notarized lease agreement letter from our landlord with both of our names.

    • Four notarized affidavits by U.S. citizen friends, attesting to our relationship and marriage.

    • A few joint savings account statements.

    • 401k retirement plan with my wife listed as the beneficiary.

    • Life insurance from my employer with my wife listed as the beneficiary.

    • Joint health insurance policy from my employer has both of our names plus our kids as beneficiaries.

    • A partial copy of our 2007 and 2008 joint US tax return.

    • A copy of joint Car insurance policy and cards with both of us listed as drivers plus copies of various notices.

    • Gas bills in both of our names plus other utility bills in my name and others in my wife's name (Water, Electricity,

    Cable and Internet).

    • Flight reservation confirmation from Orbitz.com to Rabat, Morocco in December 2009 for me, my wife and our son.

    • Some other letters and documents were sent to us in our new and old address from different people like insurance company, IRS, hospital...

    • Some of my pay stabs from my employer plus mine and my wife 2008 W2’s with our old and new address.

    • Family pictures in the hospital from the day our son was born and others.

    • A note regarding not having utility bills in our names in our old address. (Because they weren't in our names )

So what you think ? Is this enough for USCIS ?

  12. I didn't know I was supposed to file AR-11 when I moved 5 months ago, So I called USCIS and asked them what should I do.They said it was ok for me to file it online witch I did last week and they said it wasn't a problem as long as you don't have any case pending with USCIS.

I asked the person I talked to about the form I-865 and he said your sponsor sould file that too. but in my case my wife wasn't my sponsor so she didn't have to file it.

  13. I-865 Sponsor's Notice of Change of Address, I don't think I need to file that because my wife is not my Sponsor.. My sponsor is my sister-in-law and she hasn't moved anywhere. am I right ???

Wow after doing some research I think I am required to file AR-11. I don't know what to do now.I'm getting ready to file I-751. Am I in trouble ??

You have to file AR-11 and I-865 and I just found that out. :bonk: .. my husband didn't file the I-865. I am almost about to file the I-751 and don't know what to do regarding his I-865.
