  1. Had interview yesterday and was approved! Was left for review at the end of interview but was told would be approved. By time got back to the car online status changed to card is being produced.

Interview was super relaxed, was told they looked through case and everything looked good. Essentially just went through application and confirmed questions. Didn’t use a lawyer throughout the whole K-1 and AOS process and was pretty easy in the end.

    NEVER received EAD, full timeline below, just under five months start to finish;

    10/14 Filed

    10/21 NOA issued

    12/13 Bio complete

1/21 Interview ready to be scheduled

    1/23 Interview Scheduled

    3/10 Interview

3/10 Card is being produced / Approved

Good luck to the rest of you.

Hi everyone, I got my interview schedule from the mail recently. I entered the US on a K-1 visa. Medical exam is mandatory so I had it last April 16, 2019. My green card interview is scheduled on the 8th of April, 2020. My question is, do I still have to submit the medical exam form I-693 even if my medical is valid for a year? Or is the DS-3025 enough?

No the K-1 medical is fine as long as you are up to date on all vaccinations.

  3. Had interview today and was approved. Arrived 8:24am for 8:50am appointment, was in for interview by 9:15am and out by 9:40am.

Very relaxed, officer said they had looked over the case and everything looked good. Proceeded to go through and verify application questions and then was told it would have to be reviewed, but should have approval notice sent out by the end of day. By the time we made it back to the car the online tracker changed to card is being produced.

Super easy experience, took just under five months to be approved from filing. EAD was never received. Good luck to everyone else.

Had my interview today. Here's my timeline.

    Application Received on Oct 21st.

    NOA1 on Dated Oct 30th.

    Biometrics on Nov 19th.

    Interview on Feb 13th, today.

Interview went smoothly. Took 10 mins. IO was the sweetest lady. Most questions were the security questions at the end of i485 if im a terrorist lol. Rest were basic ones about how we met, the info we submitted in i485, and what we had as evidence of bona fide marriage. We had lease, joint bank statements, joint credit cards and pictures, IO didn't even care to look at the pictures. We were approved on the spot, and 4 hours after interview status changed into "New card is being produced".

Overall experience was very smooth and easy and pleasant. Good luck to you all in your journeys.

Wow congratulations! Glad to hear it was easy.

My application was received a week before yours with no RFE and my appointment isn’t for another month, confused as to how they sort through these.

Update : New Card being produced for EAD - 02/12/2020

    Congrats!

The way they are processing EAD’s is getting ridiculous though and inadvertently making others pay more for the process financially. Really feel for people from Aug, Sept & Oct who still don’t have the chance to make an income, and have lost out on thousands due to an inconsistent processing time.

I’d like to know how the EAD system works as well! My interview was scheduled well over a week ago, and is next month - so doubt I’ll see the EAD, but confused to how late Oct filers are receiving theirs already - If our case has been processed to interview then why can’t they issue the EAD so at least we can work!!

Because being processed to an interview is down to the local field office, not the NBC.

Congratulations. No idea what USCIS is doing though, how someone can file a month after, have bio a month after and then have the case ready to be scheduled before someone else is beyond me.
