If you are vaccinated and not immunocompromised, I wouldn't consider the condition severe. If someone were coming on holiday it'd be different, but coming to live, it's fine as long as you take normal precautions.

You may request the consulate to re-issue the visa if you are not able to travel before it expires. If the consulate agrees, you will be instructed to go through the visa medical again and pay the visa fee.
