  1. yeah it was one of the three doctors,

and as for Len in his first reply i see the word waiver nowhere, but stuff like dont come, VJ wont lose a breathe over it and USCIS doesnt give a ####### etc...

my question was about people experiencing or the law

    he answered neither

    but i found this

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/lofivers...hp/t170611.html

he says she didnt get them in the philippines and some people say they didnt get them or not all of them for the AOS and it worked fine

so *shrug* maybe it does work? and its fairly recent

    what do yall think?

and with this new vaccine out i know a lot of people IN THE US not taking it, and looking into avoiding vaccines alltogether

  2. First blush of the website for Paris indicates K1's are processed out of the immigrant visa unit, rather than the non-immigrant. If such is the case, the panel physician may require vaccinations prior to clearing the beneficiary for visa issuance.

If such is the case, the waiver would have to be filed overseas. Before the couple is reunited in the US.

well i called the doc and she said : i COULD say no, and something about the embassy COULD require it. but she didnt say when. i mean if the medical is the day before the interview, would they make me go back after the interview? i dont know

and yeah from what i get id need two waivers one for the interview one for the AOS

    so 1000$ extra ooouch lol

  3. Well, not that I agree with the situation or that I don't sympathize, but I'll play devil's advocate for a second on this one. The US constitution gives Congress the power to regulate requirements for immigration.

Not that I think it's right, but if you intend to immigrate, you'll soon find out that as a foreign national in the US, you have less rights than a US Citizen and the rights you had in your home country are basically irrelevant for computing your rights here.

sure but in any case where a law goes against the constitution, the constitution wins, and here we're talking about the gvt forcing an individual to take something for his own health, cause vaccines are not to cure and therefore avoid contamination, it's to avoid contimanation for the individual that gets the vaccine

What does the Constitution say about your right to religion? Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or PROHIBITING the free exercise thereof.

The U.S. Constitution is the Supreme law of the land and any other law that contradicts or goes against the Constitution is null and void: any Thing in the Constitution or Laws (i.e. statutes) of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding. Article 6, Section 2, U.S. Constitution. Plain and simple

  4. I know some women who were pregnant at the time of the visa medical and thus did not do vaccinations in their home country, and one who stated she wanted to get pregnant asap and thus refused an MMR booster (after that, you are not supposed to get pregnant for 3 months), but they all did them before AOS in the USA. We have had a few cases on here of people asking about refusing vaccinations, but none of them were successful with their waiver/ appeal of denial as far as I know.

Thank you, thanks to you i know that there's a probability of being denied

but man what sense does it make that they could deny me for exercising a right i have in my country (i checked) AND in the country im trying to get in lol

    no sense at all

I can say no in France, I can say no in America, but i can't say no between the 2 lol

  5. Why do you not want to get the vaccines?

You can't just say you don't want them, you know.

I do not want them for both health reasons as i don't believe they are healthy and for religious reasons

All vaccines are made in violation of God's Word. Vaccines are made with toxic chemicals that are injected into the bloodstream by vaccination. All vaccines are made with foreign proteins (viruses and bacteria), and some vaccines are made with genetically engineered viral and bacterial materials.

A conflict arises if you believe that man is made in God's image and the injection of toxic chemicals and foreign proteins into the bloodstream is a violation of God's directive to keep the body/temple holy and free from impurities.

A conflict arises if you accept God's warning not to mix the blood of man with the blood of animals. Many vaccines are produced in animal tissues.

A conflict arises if your religious convictions are predicated on the belief that all life is sacred. God's commandment "Thou Shall Not Kill" applies to the practice of abortion. When you believe that the practice of abortion should not be encouraged or supported in any way, a conflict arises with the use of vaccines produced in aborted fetal tissue even though you did not have any other connection with the abortions from which the vaccines are derived.

My body is a temple i do not want to dirty with chemicals which is why i do not take any medication either, i rely on natural medication such as herbs a good diet and prayer since the Lord is my only doctor

Haha look what i just found

Question: Can I Refuse to be Vaccinated on Religious or Moral Grounds?

    Answer:

You may request an exemption from the vaccination requirement if the vaccinations would be against your religious beliefs or moral convictions.

You will need to submit Form I-160 Application for Waiver of Ground of Inadmissibility with evidence to show that you are opposed to vaccinations in any form; the objection is based on religious belief or moral conviction; and the belief or conviction is sincere.

    Source: USCIS

oh wow it IS 545$ lol

smh anything to make money lol

  6. You are the beneficiary applying for a visa to come to the US. You are not a US citizen so you can't use the law to refuse vaccincations. if you want to come here on a K-1, get married and file for an adjustment of status you are going to have to meet the vaccination requirements for the paperwork or you won't get approved...

ok then if i can't use my hopefully future country's laws, i can certainly use other laws

or if not who has decided to get their vaccines done in the US and not their country?

(ETA : just changed my profile, thank u for reminding me)

  7. How did it work for you?

Since vaccination is, by the constitution in the US, only voluntary and not at all legally obligatory, I assume for the visa it is also possible to refuse vaccination completely.

I read you can wait until you get in the US to get them done for your AOS. I guess it would be easier THEN to use that part of the constitution to say no to do it.

Has anyone done it at their medical in their country? said they'd rather do it in the US?

Im in Paris just called the doctor to ask just FMY and she said yes i can say no, but since it will be asked in the US i might as well have it done (PS she doesn't know i intend to use a couple ammendments lol)

She also said they could REQUIRE it for the visa. Does anyone know if i can do like they do in schools in the US just say I don't legally have to and they just ake me sign a waiver?

Anyone knows the legal ways one can use?

PS please no need to tell me how great and useful it is to get vaccinated and how i am crazy not to get it. lool

    Have a wonderful week everybody

  8. Thanks a lot for your feedback on the medical exam! It looks like you did it last summer.

Do you happen to remember which "embassy" doctor you went to see? Cuz I called Dr Slattery and asked if I could come with all the exams done already and his secretary told me it wasnt possible.

No. I dont remember his name, but I do remember where it was. It was on one of the street across Trocadero.

I hope it helps. Let me know! ;)

Hmmm that IS good news, thanks for the info

    hope it all went well

  9. Hello everybody,

I'm the foreign woman part of the couple and I've been toying in my mind with dates and timeframes concerning my wedding. which made me remember, I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE !!

so here's my question : Whether you are already married or about to or planning to

    - What part of the preparation did/will you take care of from home during the months you use/d to move out, after you get/got your visa and before you leave/left ? How much of the 6 months did/will you use?

    - What part did/will you take care of in the US ?

    - and how big would you say your wedding was/is? was/is your family there?

i would love to hear what has been done, what has worked, what hasn't, what's planned etc...

Please don't forget to mention if you are the foreign man, foreign woman, US man or US woman part of the couple

    Let me hear your stories

  10. Read the reviews for France (and if you aren't native French, also the reviews for the country you are from) and see what others have been asked for in terms of relationship evidence. For many western countries a couple of photos is more than they ask for. Many times they ask for nothing.

Bring along your recent phone bills to the interview, and your pictures and I'd bet that you wouldn't even have to go into all this blackberry stuff. I highly doubt that they look hard enough to do a trend analysis on your talk times to even ask!

Also, I hope it's not a surprise, but you'll have to spend a further $1010 on the AOS fee, so you may want to be sure that you've got a plan to save for that in time...

    pheeeeeeeewwwwwww

man i bust my butt for all these proofs and finally France (my country) helps me in the matter

lol @ trend anallysis u make me sound so foolishly paranoid lool but yall are probably right

nono it's no surprise it's jjust it's his own company he started it a couple years ago and we're now just starting to get out of the red, it's like the big bubble that gets bigger and bigger with backed up payments, and it's been poked so it's all coming now, we'll be more than fine in a couple months

Thank God the money talk is only for the interview lol and current money making is more important than last year's

thank you for your replies everybody i can go back to BB chatting !!

  11. Assuming you're using BlackBerry Messenger you shuold be able to easily copy the conversations and email them to yourself and print them out. I don't know if all BlackBerry models have the same options... I'm only familiar with mine, but if you press the "menu" button while you're in the conversation, there should be a "copy history" option. Then you can just paste it to an email and then print it out.

well i tried but it has not date, no time, no real name just IDs, no begining or end since it's like one huge convo, and it has too many words for the email so it's a chunk of convo with no date

  12. Depends on how much other evidence you have. LOTS of pictures. Having met multiple times? Letters, emails etc.

some pictures, met like 7 times, no letters, some emails yeah (tons of emails work related to this day) and countless chats but way less since mid 2009

they'll see chats like everyday until 2009 then they'll see no chats for a week on yahoo or msn, then like a couple chats on msn in a month lol

  13. Gary and Alla : when u say begin communicating, you don't seem to get the package includes phone bills of around 48 hours a month to the US for several years. and since I'll be bringing a copy of the package to the interview they will see that in 2008 and begining 2009 it was like that. I'm worried about the decrease to just 30 hours a month since begining and mid 2009

It also includes tons of chats but they date from several years til like may 2009... which they will see also at the interview.

is the decrease that started like mid 2009 gonna look suspicious? is 30 or 20 hours a month on the phone not enough to prove there's a rlp? are the chats and emails that important if there's phone?

I have tons of emails everyday to this day but work related with him, not very romantic... chats way less computer based

Estadia : that includes messenger historics? i can't even find it on the BB itself, and i've never seen a file that looks like something printable (?????)

all he had to do was sign the forls, scan his signed pages and send them to me.

All documents that need a signature, need to have original signatures in ink. Scanned versions will most likely result in a rejection of the entire petition or RFEs for almost sure.

nono the scans were for my copy here for the interview

i sent him the originals for him to sign and send in the package

  14. Hello everybody,

I'm the french citizen, i sent the package to my american fiance because i'm an assistant and better at these things lol so all he had to do was sign the forls, scan his signed pages and send them to me.

Anyway, i sent that like a few months ago, and since then, we've been waiting for 500$ to be available to send the package.

We're almost there, should be sent next month but now i'm thinking :

    - the fact the forms are dated a few months back is that a big problem? it wouldn't be too hard to send them again real quick,

    - BUT i'm going to be adding to the relationship proofs, MY PROBLEM IS: ever since i got a blackberry to be like him (lol) we chat on it ALL THE TIME, and i mean all the time, only problem is it made my phone bill decrease. (I get unlimited calls so i was always the one calling), and the bills i sent USED to show around 40 something hours a month of phone to his number, it's now around 20 or 30. you think it's still enough? or will the decrease make them wonder too much?

It has also made the computer (msn yahoo) chats decrease dramatically. We don't get on cam much anymore for and do'nt even like chatting on the cpu anymore since we have the Blackberry now.

the only thing i have to show is my cell phone/blackberry bill which shows a number in octets for internet use which counts the time i spend surfing on that thing too.

I was thinking of writing (or him writing) a small note or letter pinned to the last phone bill to explain why it has decreased that much.

Ill have one new trip under my belt for the time of interview but not to add to the package.

So am i paranoid? will it still be enough ? even if suddenly there are waaaaaaaaay less computer chats? and half the phone convos? He's also been working extra hard which helped decrease the whole thing.

are THEY gonna be paranoid about it u think?

Ugh i may be thinking too much...

please just tell me what you think

  15. Religion did not have anything to do about my request about delays and second visas, it was a detail, it was my way of being thorough

It's a mighty damn big detail if it's enough to de-rail the entire process.

I agree, i know how big it is to me, but it's my process and my decision

and my question was not "should i wait or not" because we have already decided this, and that's what i wanted to be respected. I've been in this rlp for 4 years, and i know what expensive draining and long is already, and we decided it was time to start, and I decided to ask for details so i could have an idea of the big picture

    Is that reasonable?

  16. Well Marine I HAVE posted a thread in the french division and haven't got any responses, i mean if i'm told to postpone the interview is it too much to ask to be told HOW??

And i have several times thanked people for their answers relating to delays

AND i have asked once very nicely and politely to stay on topic

Why would i like advice telling me to wait, when i ask about DELAYS?? I mean that's super personal, it can't be accepted that we decided to not wait and IF WE NEED TO delay it a lil?

And being told to not whine, i mean what's that about?

I'm trying hard to get into it too, but do you tell people that have a house to sell or a sick parent that they're throwing it away? US VISA is not my religion, and i have a right to delay it if i see fit, now people not liking it don't have to read about it. Do you tell people already married not to post because they have something you don't have yet??

Religion did not have anything to do about my request about delays and second visas, it was a detail, it was my way of being thorough

And about opinions, when they're not requested are off topic, i asked for info no more no less

  17. oh yeah and if one had been getting closer and not the other after some time of knowing each other, it means one is not influenced enough by the other and then marriage wouldn't even be in the picture.

  18. Since we're on the subject of differences, maybe you could clarify something for us?

Do you get 'signs' or something that you are about to be saved? That it is imminent? If so, what if one of you are getting these 'signs' and the other one is not?

Do these questions (and it's up to you to reveal the answers or not) make you understand why people might be advising you to wait till this blessed event has occurred?

Yes as i stated in the thread we both feel we're close enough to start, at the end of the day though we're not God either. But yes we both are getting closer by the minute specially recently, but my day job is executive assistant, and i plan and organize all day, and it is something i do in my life too, i like having every information for any possible what if, which is something i have to overcome spiritually too.

But come on do i have to reveal that much to ask for info about delays? and not advice on my personal life?

  19. i don' really care if you're annoyed

    Cool - STFU

waiting was not an option, just like if u asked what can we do to save my grandfather, pulling the plug is not an option

Didn't ask, don't even know your grandad - why even ask that here?

marriage is not fries, who are you to tell me i should wait before starting a process to get married? WHO ARE YOU

I am the mighty and all knowing OZ - next question.

just that answer to wait was off topic, that makes it no good that's all

    Don't wait. Satisfied?

    Fixed

Rudeness is the weak man's imitation of strength. ~Eric Hoffer

Please refrain when you don't know someone

I'm not concerned with your liking or disliking me . . . All I ask is that you respect my differences. This is after all a multi-cultural forum where i thought everybody was welcome regardless of background with one thing in common love for a US citizen or a foreigner and trying to live with them

Apparently people decide for you whether you should or shouldn't start proceedings,i was only asking how to delay IN CASE i would need to and hoping maybe someone somewhere had been in the same situation, i mean there are a lot of people here, i thought i had one chance it would reach someone who had without having to justify myself to a whole forum.
