After 2.5 years of filing our AOS, we finally received our interview date (4/11/22).  Interview went smoothly and was pretty quick.  Wife was approved for her 10 year green card.  Only thing that really disappointing is that that clock towards citizenship starts now, so she will be at over 5.5 years from marriage before being able to apply for the N-400.

All these issues started last February when USCIS accidentally set her case status to "interview completed" yet we hadn't had an interview (see my posts about this several pages back).  It took over a year to get this straightened out with them.

I'm wondering if there is anyone else still waiting for their interview, or if we were the last of the group...

We are happy at least that we no longer have to keep file extensions for her travel and working documents.

Wow! That took so long! So absurd and unacceptable! Wonder why there seems to have a lot of trouble with the 0ctober 2019 filers. And I know people who came later and filed later that has been processed sooner. On a positive note, she only had to do one AOS and straight to 10 year residency, instead of 3 years and then do a renewal for 10 years.

Anyway, for the citizenship, can she not just file already? 3 years being married to a US Citizen will allow you to file for Citizenship right?

I am on the same boat as well. I do not mean to be rude at all, but rather I am trying to keep the waters calm. This process is a mind game, it is not worth it to lose your own peace over it. I understand that a legal status is a big deal for most of us, but hey it will be fine. Most people are getting their NOA's 3 weeks after submission. Wait a little longer and you will be okay.

Thanks. I didn't mean to overreact. I took it wrongly. And yeah im starting to stress about it, but ok I will chill for now. Lol. If i don't hear after November 11 (1 month after) then y'all will def hear from me again as i will be buzzing everyone. 😅😂 i'll keep y'all updated in case i get any some time.

Exactly no real need to stress. Don't  look at other cases and try to predict yours that is a quick way to high stress. USCIS works on no schedule no rhyme no reason. Patience is the key, like @Martha R

said give them a month then you can panic. I assure you it'll be here before a months end. We are supposed to be veterans now (if you are adjusting from a K1) meaning we know how to wait. Relax you'll be fine all of you/us.

Thanks Sarge! Very comforting at least. Hope all works well.

Agreed! It is childish to be comparing your case to someone else’s case. We need to be patience and understand the process, especially if we are coming through K1 route. We should know this drill by now.

I don't know about being childish. I agree that we shouldn't compare our case with others, but i think it's natural to express concern as we are talking about our legal status here. Nonetheless, thanks for your insight.

It is a month - you have to give USCIS a month. If any of you went through the K1 visa, probably you know how randomly people were getting approved for their NOA2. I went through the K1 route and people who submmited their applications before me, got their NOA2. With USCIS, there is no order. The way the handle applications is random and aleatory. No need to worry about this; it will be all good in the end.

    Thank you.

At least I am not alone. Keep me updated.

J.Harper signed  for mine too he must be the clerk. I would not worry since we know it got there. It can take awhile some time. Did you submit the G 1135 form I think it's called requesting a email or text once your case was received. They usually send you a text or email. Did you pay by check if so watch your bank too. Anyway I would not be to concerned yet. Give it till next week.

Thank you sir. And yes, i did attach the e-notification request form. That's G-1145 i think. I'm relieved for now. Thanks y'all for replying to my query. Im glad to have found this trail. I'll relax for a bit and keep an eye out. Will give it until next week. 😊

You have no timeline. It would be helpful for you have one so that others can assist you in a better way.

What timeline? From when we started the petition of my K1? I haven't take note of everything. But it took us like 10 months to get approved of K1.

May 10: Entered the US in Atlanta

    July 10: Married

October 10: Sent AOS docs thru USPS

October 11: Received by J.Harper (Dearborn, Chicago)

    That's it so far.

Not sure but they tell you where to send using a certain carrier for a reason. I'm sure it will find it's way to the correct place.

Hi Sarge2155. Thank you for replying. I was really counting on you to reply seeing as to how engaged and helpful you are with the inquiries here. Now, mind if i asked, should i be concerned now that i havent heard yet? USPS showed someone by the initial J.Harper signed and received my mail at the Dearborn address on the 11th, and i have not heard since. Been 13 business days already. 😭
