    UPDATE:

So I sent the consulate an e-mail basically saying I want our K2 to start school here in the US and wasn't sure if they would consider that a reason for an expedited appointment or not and just a couple hours ago my fiance got a call that they approved our request and now she has an interview date for 8/10/20.

    Good morning all,

We wanted to share our great new..

We had our expedited interview scheduled this morning and have secured the VISA...

Did you guys sent in emails through the Immigrant Visa Contact Form? Did you guys add any attachment to explain in details the reason for the expedite or was the 500 word enough to get it approved?

  2. I received Packet 3 from the US Consulate in HCM to download the instruction package on the website https://vn.usembassy.gov/packet3k The instruction requests me to send an inquiry to notify them that I have finished with the DS160 which I did. My question is the instruction has no mention of printing out the first page of the DS160 with the HCMxxx  case number written at the upper left along with 2 5x5 cm picture of the beneficiary and copy of the beneficiary passport to be sent to the US Embassy in HCM. Does anyone know if this is a new thing since at the bottom of the page where it list documents for the interview there is already request for 2 5x5 visa photo along with DS160 confirmation page and request for original + copy of passport?  Would this mean I have no need to send those in beforehand and just bring them to the interview? Thanks

  3. Since adobe didn't let me fill it out, I also left many of the boxes blank that didn't pertain to me. Didn't have any issues with the application being approved but for future references for those that follow and read the comments, I do suggests to err on the side of caution and to print it out write in with a pen cause I was nervous if I would get RFE because of that or just got lucky with an adjudicator that wasn't picky.

Jade, you're mixing up two things and they're overlapping. If your fiance applied for a CRBA for your children, then they already have a US passport and citizenship. In order for someone to get a CRBA, your US fiance must have applied for their paperwork and also shown his I-864 affidavit of support (a requirement for the CRBA is for the US father to be able to show he can support the children until age 18). So, your children are already on his I-864. There's no need to sponsor them again with the I-134.

Here's where it gets a bit more complicated. Since the US petitioner's already sponsored them, your children are now already part of his "household size". Therefore, you don't to list them as "sponsored" but you have to list them as those already petitioned by your fiance.

When we filed for the CRBA the US Embassy did not ask for the form I-864 just proof of Social Security Statement was enough. That is why I asked if on the form I-134 I would need to put down my kids info for both spots?

  5. I'm in the process of filing my fiancé K1 visa. We have 2 kids with each other and I have filed CRBA for both of them and they both have US Passport. So my question is on the I-134 part 2 about Beneficiary's Children do I still put my kids info down? How about Part 3 about sponsor Dependents' Information? Do I still put down both my kids info again? Another question is since they are not applying for K2 visa along with my fiancé, does that change the amount of support I need to provide or do I still need to show proof that I can support both my fiancé and 2 kids (ie: income for 3) ?
