@MrsVybez From what I recall I129 is only for fiancée, right ? So I realise the reason why our lawyer has not mentioned it is because we were already married...

    Take care.

Yes, so its says the form is for spouses and fiance... I had to check myself. Nevertheless I am thankful for every piece of info I do get. Good luck to you. I know we aren't too far behind from the rest of the approvals..! 😉

I'm thinking of doing the same thing...

Seriously, and I say so  because I had no idea that the I-129F form gave you a slight chance of getting approved faster with your spousal or fiance visa petition. Of course I found this out through reading threads on here and calling the USCIS directly and confirming this Wednesday. My "lawyer" said nothing about it...

Is your husband a US citizen?

My husband is, therefore we guess the number of available VISAs shoul not be limited. On the contrary, it should be for permanent residents; so, they are processed asap to give a chance to get their VISAs as soon as they are available.

Am I correct? Please, correct me in case I am wrong. I am reading a lot of web info trying to get an idea about how the "wheels spin"...

I'm actually the US citizen. My husband is the beneficiary. According to this chart of timelines from the USCIS , permanent residents have shorter processing times. I thought there were a limited number of VISA numbers so they would go to the first priority of US citizens. I guess I'm missing something.....uscis.JPG.ad328942e53e7baa4d5ec98af53556d4.JPG

We did. So far, I cannot see any advantage, but nothing happened since we submitted our petition (receipt date was April 3rd, 2019).

We expected some delays because we are both divorced.

We see cases differ a lot - and of course processing times also depend on the Service Center, whether the petitioner is US citizen or not, and...luck?

    🙂

Makes sense. I was contemplating on dropping mine after the approval, but wasn't sure if there was an advantage to keeping him up until the interview.. Shockingly, I was surprised to see permanent residents processing times were a little less than actual US residents requests. ..a bit strange, but hey as long as we get through right? lol

Also, if you created a timeline through VJ it will also give you an estimate based on feedback from members.

Thank you, I took a look at the timeline and instantly got overwhelmed...lol I'll try again!

I think you will find more helpful information in this forum: https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/110-ir-1-cr-1-spouse-visa-process-amp-procedures/

The I-130 is for the IR-1/CR-1 Spouse Visa not for the K-1 Fiancé(e) Visa.

Here's the Visa Journey IR-1/CR-1 Processing Times: https://www.visajourney.com/content/ir1cr1historical/

Here's the USCIS Estimated Processing Times: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

    Thank you.

  6.  Hi Guys!

Im new here, but Iv'e been reading some of you guys posts and responses and I'm eager to join in on the knowledge for a piece of mind if not at least. My husband and I are currently are in the phase between our NOA1 for the I-130 Visa from April of this year and waiting on an approval. This month would be going on 7 months and based upon the status update, no change as of yet. Some comforting words would help... can anyone guesstimate the remainder of time before we should hear back?
