Yes, I Included the translation and accuracy statement from the translator in the same document. I just kept the NADRA marriage certificate separate because it is a completely different document issued by a different authority. Meh

I havent read anywhere official that it is necessary. I remember reading somewhere that it is important to include a certificate of accuracy from the translator though.

My NADRA certificate was already attested by FO. Translation of nikah nama I got notarized because some people here said you should. But havent gotten that attested by FO.

Just keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck!

Did they still accept if you kept nadra marriage certificate as one file and Urdu nikahnama+ English translation as another? Thank you in advance!

No, that's what I'm confused about though. We didn't file 864a and they didn't request it . They just said 'please submit every w2/1099 on (person's name ) tax return or transcript. Now I don't know if we will have to submit 864a and transcript for her also.

He filed jointly but using his wage alone.

Maybe we can try to call them again.

I will surely appreciate it jou get any clarity on your end if you can let me know also?

Maybe you should file 864a to be safe.

Some other things may have to go with that also like

    Transcript

    W2

    Proof of domicile

    Marriage certificate

    🤷‍♀️

Yes same thing with me as well. He’s using his wage only. If they needed the whole works of spouse info with W2 and I-864a they would have stated it. Your sponsors income is enough alone right, above 125%? Maybe they want a w2 for the spouse just to see proof of joint filing?

I will ask around and try calling, however please keep me posted if anything new occurs. Thank you!

we`re in the similar situation. out joint sponsor is married and filing taxes jointly. but we didn`t include his wife`s income in his I864 as a household member because instruction say:

"Item Numbers 8. - 22.  Current Annual Household Income.  This section is used to determine the sponsor’s household income.  If your individual annual income listed in Item Number 7. is greater than 125 percent (or 100 percent if you are on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces or U.S. Coast Guard and sponsoring your spouse or child) of the Federal Poverty Guidelines for your household size from Part 5., Item Number 8., you do not need to include any other household member’s income.  See Form I-864P for information on the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

so we only included the joint sponsor`s tax transcript and W2 just to make it easier. however ! I do see how it might come up that we need to submit his wife`s W2, so I am suspecting a RFE for that.

On the other hand if you chose to include sponsor`s spouse as a household member then it would be necessary to include I864a and W2 and the whole works for the household member.

I sincerely hope you don’t get an RFE. See it’s just confusing as his income itself is above 125%and according to Item 8 we don’t need to include any other household income.
I suppose providing more documents wouldn’t hurt or delay the process just to be safe and submit spouse w2 etc as well.

Kindly keep us posted as to what happens with your process. Thank you a bunch!

    FYI for this week
(Case creation was 15th Jan last week. Document review was 10th December last week)

They sent case on Jan 27 to Department of State to review. Does this mean they’ve already probably created a case number for me and I should now await NVC welcome Email?

I have not contacted the NVC yet, the call wait times are pretty rough. Thanks guys!

Maybe it is the combination of a couple of things, the time of year, the glacial pace of progress from our old "friend" USCIS....  It seems that the last couple of threads people were "jones-ing" - harping, complaining, whining about "Janie got two candy bars and I only got one" kind of thing. It was just getting a little trite and petty.

Oh well so it goes. I have been on these forums for nine years. My family's own immigration journey is on kind of a holding pattern. I have been on here the last couple of years paying back to the VJ community for all of the help that was provided to us when we were biting our nails awaiting a decision that couldn't come fast enough, or making an eleven hour flight to a country that doesn't even use the same alphabet as the one that you are know, let alone vastly different language and customs. It has been a great run, people need to harp less about where the next person is in the queue, and more about rallying against the horrible mess that USCIS devolved into. It is almost like an amorphous, asynchronous glob that has no perceivable movement or output emanates. The lack of progress exhibited by USCIS borders on criminal, the Federal leaders of our country, on both sides of the aisle, should be held accountable for the deplorable condition that they have ignored for far too many years. Now the citizens that are now in the throes of these processes is bearing the fruit of all of these years of administrative oversight.

Ok, hopefully things will get better in a couple of days....Happy New Year !!! and...

Good luck on your immigration journey.

I’m optimistic, we all have our own road of journey but we’ll get there :)
