Seriously, or am I looking in the wrong place. We've been waiting weeks and weeks to hear about an interview. Maybe I'm being too impatient(tell me if that's so!) ... but I wanted to just make sure they even got the paperwork.

    Tips? Hints?

    Thanks guys!

  3. CONGRATULATIONS LORA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WE HOPE TO BE RIGHT BEHIND YOU WITH AN INTERVIEW SOON!!!!!!

thanks so much Charlene.....I can not be happier that we are finally so close......I was begining to believe this interview would never happen......So heres to April being the end for the May/June 2007 filers.........YEAH....FINALLY

    Ric and Virgil....where are you??????

We got a police certificate a little while ago, thinking ahead, and in Feb they changed the sort they require. Now it has to have a photo on and all sorts, so we're waiting on that, and a few other little things to send back Packet 3. Pete rotates shifts and he was on nights, and getting things done wasn't going to happen. Maybe an interview in May? We'll see. We're planning on getting married end of Sept :D

Congratulations to both Lora and Charlene. I'm incredibly excited for both of you!

  4. Happy to announce that my visa was approved yesterday In Frankfurt! It was all about having the required documents, the Consul himself didn't ask any questions except where I met my fiance. Then he took my fingerprints and made me swear that all I have said was the truth....that was it!

    Frankfurt rocks!!huepfend_012.gif

    Congrats......wonderful news

Hi everyone....I spent most of my day sitting in my Congressman's office telling him my trail of tears since last May 26th.....I showed him my log of phone calls, emails and certified letters.....the timeline of mistakes with the rfe......mailing of 1/2 a petition and the horrific wait we have endured.....Explained to him the pain we have experienced and how much stress this has caused us.......the unfairness of this process and the uncaring ineptness of the USCIS and NVC.....He listened and promised to make some calls for us...apoligized to me....I felt better when I left.....About 1 hour ago I recieved this email...

Thank you so much for coming to my office today to talk to me about your problems getting your voice heard and petition processed in a timely fair manner. I apoligize again for this terrible experience and hope to increase your confidence by telling you that your petition is now on it's way to Lima, Peru with my sincere hope in a quick visa issuance.

    :dance::dance::dance:

I checked dhl and a package left NVC this afternoon for Lima.........I am numb

Thanks so much everyone for all of your prayers and support.....and God Bless you Congressman Wolf............Lora and oscar

I've been away for a few days and caught up on everyone's excitements, but I must say my heart lept out with joy upon reading this posting. Best wishes Lora and Oscar!

Thanks so much.....I still need to pinch myself to believe it

Lora, I'm so sorry you had to go thru all that, but I'm glad they've sent it on to Lima. That's got to be a enormous relief. .. and I'm glad you had a congressman that did something. :) :)

(I'm endlessly amused that I STILL haven't heard anything from my senator's office even though I sent them a whole packet of papers and information requesting help in January. What a ####### system!)

  5. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!!! I'M FINALLY FREAKIN APPROVED!!!!!!!

Hey Erica Congrats to you too and the same day!!! Aren't you dying to know where they found our petitions? Maybe in the corner of a car trunk of one of those work from home adjudicators??!!

Ahhhh, free from vsc, what a feeling

Thanks! I'm still feeling so much lighter now that this is done. I'm sure you are too. I'm so pleased they approved you too. I was hoping for it.

I have to do the approval dance

    O.K. VSC......VIRGILS TURN

It absolutely is! I haven't seen him around. I'm hoping he's already approved. :)

  7. Has anybody filed an official case inquiry with USCIS? Did it do any good? How long did it take to get an answer? (and why we're asking questions why does it take 30-45 days to tell me why they haven't finished my file despite that fact that its been over eight months?)

But anyway. I was just wondering how long you waited to get a reply.

    Thanks.

Did you try calling vermont directly? Contact your Congressman ask him to make enquires for you.

I've tried calling. Every time I call, its with an officer, being worked on. Just keep waiting. It'll come. But I've been hearding that since NOVEMBER.

I asked my congressman to help, and his representative called in November, said it was an adjudicator. If youd on't hear in 30 days, email me again. We'll see what we can do. I waited until 35 days MORE, asked her to do something again, she calls them, they say its being worked on. She says if you don't hear in 30 days, call me back we'll definitely do something. I wait another 30 or so days, I go back to her and she says you know every case I've ever worked on took a year. Just be patient. But you shoudl hear in 30-45 days.

I filed the case inquiry with the national customer service people in January and never heard anything back. That's why I asked how long it really took to get an answer. I called Vermont again, and spoke with an officer that said since I'd waited so long I could file for an expidite, when I followed his instructions they said I awsn't in teh military was I, so no. Why would I be allowed to file that?

    Just keep waiting.

    ... and waiting and waiting.

  9. Hello everyone!

I have been reading threads/posts from people here regarding K1 Visa and found out that most of the applicants who applied in July 2007 and some are later than that and already have an interview date at the embassy or atleast some of them got their papers at the NVC already?! My fiance' hired a lawyer to work on our papers since he is a real busy man. Our petition got at the USCIS on July 19th, 2007 and received a receipt on July 26th and case is still pending in 7 months. Although Im aware of USCIS advisory on processing times but I think 7 months to be pending is just too much :-((((. Am I alone waiting this long? Is anybody out there has been waiting this long too?

Thank you for anyone who shares their timelines!!!

I got my NOA1 dated 6/9/07 and I'm still waiting on VSC. I've tried my congressperson- who insists that it takes a year to get an NOA2, I asked my senator for help but she insists that it takes 6-8 weeks to get an answer from USCIS even though my congressperson gets a call back in under two days, filing an inquiry once I was outside of processing dates, and nothing seems to have helped speed anything along. At all.

You can try these things, some people do get real results. Some people don't.

    Best of luck.

  10. Just an update from us....our packet went through the NVC center within a week and was sent out on the 13th...YEAH...

but when I was talking to the guy at the NVC center he said....yes, it was sent to Mntreal on the 13th....WHAT>>>

my fiancee is in VANCOUVER...it was suppposed to be sent there.....CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS!!!!!!

I ask him what I should do....he said he did not know!

    GREAT...now what????????

I called and had fiancee call VanCouver embassy and tell them the issue and the guy said "call back in a couple of days

and I will see what I can do"

    THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE....

VIRGIL AND RIC....WHERE ARE YOU AND HAVE YOU HEARD ANYTHING YET???????

Nope. Not a thing. Maybe next week. *sigh*

  11. :dance::dance::dance:

    I called NVC....this is the petition....... :dance::dance::dance:

I am still waiting VSC......Ric and Virgil........this week Please.....for the approval dance :dance::dance:

Wooo-hhooo!! Congratulations and good luck!:dance:

i've been itching to call NVC all morning, but i know it's not been enough time! giving it my all to be patient.

    :clock:

i hope you and Oscar get a speedy interview date...

Ric & Virgil, here's sending you happy thoughts and prayers. this week is your week!

    hz

I hope so. I go back and forth between hopeful and hopeless. I'm tired of the ride!

  12. I was playing in an online RP game with one of his friends, and she insisted I talk to him because we had so much in common. I resisted because.. so many 'set ups' are .. so wrong, but then he joined the game and we started talking., and she was so right. :)

  13. That leaves Ric and Virgil............come on now VSC......let's finish up June :dance:

    Yes please!

Seriously, if its much longer I could have created an entire kid in the time its taken them. :jest:

You still have a sense of humor......good for you..........You know I deliver babies for a living so it is time for this one to come on Now.....hahahahahahahaha

    Bring on the NOA2

Hehe. I told my co-workers about my touch and now they're like, "Haha! You're getting married!"... and have spent the last 30 minutes planning a bachelorette party. They're all insane.

  14. Got another touch....2/1/08.....Could be from the phone call yesterday......Nothing to do but deliver another baby :D

That is promising! I NEVER got a touch from a phone call....

You have your medical today, Steph? Good luck :)

Thanks. Yes, Darren had his medical this past Friday and after filling out 5 forms asking for the same information all went well.

I still haven't gotten a interview date!!! I can't believe being this close and they still find a way to drag it out. I am starting to stress about it. Why so long?? They processed and approved the packet 3 so all should be ok.

Maybe give them a call, to see what's going on? It can't hurt, maybe?

  15. VSC can't stop surprising me....it is unbelievable! Lora, it was very nice to meet you and stay strong and positive!!! If it was assing to an officer, I'm sure you will have your approval very very soon!!! Don't lose your faith!!! I know that this waiting it is taking forever, like it was for me but it finally came true.....

Same here Mirla.......I wish we could of spent more time talking......Pat is a very lucky man....You are bright intelligent and very cute.......I hope for the best for you next Tuesday and I know all will be great for both of you.....Please let us know when you have visa in hand.....what an exciting day....Lora

Can anyone tell me the average time the Embassy in London gets back to you with a interview date? This is ridiculous!!!

I don't know. I try not to look because I'll get discouraged about the additional wait on the other end.... But maybe poke your nose over to the regional forum? The UK forum is full of friendly people :)

  16. Did you ever hear from the Obudsman inquiry???

Well, the letter states I'll get a reply FROM USCIS within 45 days. So if it's not the ombudsman who answers but uscis, I guess 45 days could be ... 30 days after 45 days or 60 days from the letter or .. never?

But really I'm curious to see if I get a touch to show they at least looked at my file to see what the complaint is about - so far nothing

Here's hoping that the influx of inquiries from the customer service reps, and the ombudsman kicks them in the pants about the outstanding backlog. This is ridiculous. I'm going to go back to my congressperson as well, even tho the regional liason has been ridiculously useless in the past, I'm not letting her tell me that I should just wait another bloody month.

Also, ... that joke was hilariously awesome. My fiance had quite a laugh as well. :D

  17. Well...I broke down and called the USC this morning....I did not go the RFE way I called and kept punching menus till I got the

one that stated "if you have a problem etc...." and I went that route..,

The lady I talked with was very kind and she was apologetic about the situation we were in and she

filled out a "service inquiry" while I was on the phone....and she sent it to Vermont and then she said....

"We have to say that you must wait 30 days for the response, but they normally send out a response sooner...15 days"...

and then I asked her what this inquiry would do...

She said that there is a special officer that handles inquiries and he was required to find (handle) the file, look at it and

send a response about the case to the person.

Well...we will see what happens....I will keep everyone posted....:whistle::wacko::whistle:

Yeah I did that the other day, but I didn't get the impression they have to MAKE A DECISION... just tell you what's going on. Which is to say, we're slow, and would rather play spinny chairs and color with crayons. >.<

    Here's hoping though, right?! *sigh*

Did you get a service inquiry sent in also???? If so, what date? We will watch this together and see what happens.

I put mine in on Wednesday. With the world's ditziest Customer Service Rep. She asked for my alien registration number. I had to tell her I wasn't; an alien. *sigh*

But, i was assured by another rep that she did actually do it, so. Small favors. Still no touches though. Its seriously depressing to STILL see Last Updated: 6/14/07.
