  1. Happy Monday May Filers! So, I have a question...I called CSC on Friday and got the usual touch later that afternoon. BUT I got another touch today, three days later. Anyone else call on Friday and get a touch today? I don't want to get my hopes up yet again, but it seems weird to get a touch that many days later. Oh please let it be NOA2!!!!

Good luck to everyone this week!

    ~Laurel

I have read in other posts that a call to the USCIS will generate 2 touches...

I have called USCIS many times and never got a touch! NEVER! It also happen to another VJ members.....so I don't know how true is that...

The only touch I got was when I called about not receiving my NOA1.

Since then, all my phone calls did not result in any new touches.

So I think and hope you will receive good news soon.

The exact same goes for me!!! I wonder why that is! I'm sure this has been discussed but I probably missed out on it while out on vacation trying to get my mind off this! but now vacation is over and its September and still NO APPROVAL!!! I also, never received my NOA1 and didn't care too much for it (from talks bout NOA1 on the site) but then decided in August I should at least call and make sure they got the Application and the correct address on file and whatnot..... or at least to make sure there is something on the other side of the 800 #, so I got my NOA1 sometime early August, but my Priority date is May 23, which was when I mailed it to Texas, and now i'm in the holding pattern like all the other may filers yet to be approved!!!!! I called this past Tues/Wed and never received a touch when I checked my status online! hope to get one soon! a REAL touch!!!

  2. hey vj'ers!

My priority date is 05/23/2007 on my NOA1 and the Notice Date is 08/02/2007 which is when I called to see why I had never received my NOA1. I should have called 2 or 3 weeks after I sent my application in.

I'm assuming I should have my NOA2 by end of the month as everyone going through CSC is running approx. 120 days after NOA1.

Would this be a good assumption?

    Thanks!

  3. Hey VJ'ers!

I was wondering if the US Embassy in Islamabad operates normally during Ramadan. I hope to have my NOA2 by the end of this month and should be sent to the US Embassy in Islamabad by Mid-October. From others, it seems like 2months from the time the Embassy receives your application to the interview date. I would like to have the Visa complete by end of year so when I go home for winter vacation my fiancee can come back with me.

what do you all think of this happening is? Any idea?

    Thanks all!

  4. Whats up May Filers!!!

This is the first post since I have filed my I-129F on May 22, my check was CASHED on June 01 and I too have NOT received my NOA1. I got the WAC# off the back of my check and am tracking my case that way.

I have signed up for e-mail notifications and to-date my case hasn't been touched! Which isn't surprising! It seems like we should receive our NOA2's by end of Aug considering you have no RFE's based on others and how things are going!

My Fiancee, she is in Pakistan so I hope that being from that area int he worl doesn't slow down my case too much!

Will update once I receieve a "Touch" or any other action to my case!

    Best of luck to everbody!

  5. guys stop please before I have to lock the thread or accounts. We are all here for support on the journey and it is easy to let emotions take the best of us sometimes. Please try and respect each other and their opinions even if you disagree.

    AMEN!

I just want my Fiancee here from pakistan with ease! this site has helped alot!

Also, it does say in the K1 GUIDE to make 2 COPIES of all items sent to USCIS....so that would mean after you sign/date the sheets hence signing a sheet twice would be pointless! just my 2 cents!!!

THANKS! too everyone who has helped me with filing my I-129F....check cashed May29.....waiting!

    take care all!

  6. Hi All,

I mailed off my I-129F form yesterday and had it next day to the USCI Texas Service Center at P.O. BOX 850965, Mesquite, TX 75185-0965.

the USPS tracking said "We attempted to deliver your item at 11:46 AM on May 22, 2007 in MESQUITE, TX 75185 and a notice was left. A second delivery attempt will be made. If unsuccessful, we will hold it for five business days and then it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later. "

Has anyone seen anything like this before??

    thanks in advance!

  7. Hey All!

I am a USC and obtained this through my mom. I have my Certificate of Citizenship(COC).

There are two number on the COC, Does anyone know which of the two numbers are the Certificate Number? One number is an "A" followed by 7 numbers the 2nd number is an "A" followed by 9 numbers.

Also, Question10 asking for the COC #, Date, and Place it was issued. The date it was issued is easy cuase its stated on the COC. But I'm not sure what the PLACE of issue is. Can anyone help with this?

(this is my first of many posts i'm sure)

    Thanks in advance!

1.The one that says CIS # is the number you'll use which is the 9 digit number

    2. Place should also be oon the certificate and if not, you would write the place your mom had the oath ceremony as that's what I did

    Khurram

Awesome!! Your a GREAT help!!! I will use the 9digit number, and my mom had the Oath ceremony in Charlotte, NC, so thats that!!! Thanks alot!!!!!

  8. My COC says INS REGISTRATION NO.

and at the bottom says: "Be it known tht, pursuant to an application filed with the Attorney General"

I think there are your answers... if I'm wrong please correct me!

    Good Luck!!

Thanks for the reply! My COC does not say "pursuant to an application filed with the Attorney General" , my COC was issued in 2003.

Another silly question: my COC says "It is punishable by U.S. Law to Copy, print or photograph this certificate, without lawful authority" I was going to send a copy of my COC in with my forms. Is it ok to do so? (I'm assuming it is)

You are actually required to send one, but make sure you cross it out ( like you would on a void check ) ...and above the line write "NOT VALID, USCIS USE ONLY" ...that's what I saw my attorney do on mine.

Thanks! will add that statement to my COC!

Does anyone else have any idea on the "Place it was issued" for my COC?? I applied to the Commissioner of Immigration and Naturalization for the COC. Is there an acronym for Commissioner of Immigration and Naturalization?? The COC #, Date of Issue, & that long name wont fit in the space provided

    Thanks!
