  1. just an update: i called NVC and my case STILLLLLLl has NOT arrived!!!!!!! what a bummer!!! approved on Oct 10!!!!!!!!!!

where is my case?? worreid its in some damn back room collecting dust!

I called USCIS today and was told my petition is still in the staging area to be shipped to NVC. I got a touch on Nov.1st but the customer rep. could not give me any reason as to why.

GoharRabia, I am thinking maybe your petition is still in the staging area also, along with mine and U2rsobad.

Try calling USCIS and see if they shipped yours out yet. We have already seen that USCIS does not seem to care about first in being first out.

I have been trying to call CSC all MORNING!!!! I'm on the EAST Coast....... what time does CSC start answering the calls there?? I would really like some answers as tomorrow will be 4wks from my NOA2!

I agree afterforever, our cases are in some back room chillin!!!! Wish they would pass it along! With pakistan goin the way it is, i dont think my fiancee will be coming soon!! :-( its killin me!

I have called as early as 8 AM (California time). The last few times I have called, I had to wait about 10 minutes before I was able to speak with a customer service rep. Good luck!

I got through pretty fast!!!!!! called at 8:05 AM (Cali time), probaby one of the first callers if they open the phone lines at 8AM.

Got some "GOOD" news (if you can call it that) and BAD news...

The GOOD -- CSC "says" they mailed the petition on OCT 23

The BAD -- NVC "says" yesterda Nov. 05 they have NOT received the petition!!!

I asked her if she was sure it left that day, and she said yes, not sure if there are any other questions I could ask her to verify it? I could do what others have done and call back the next day and hope a the same answer. Any helpful hints?

Question: What should I do now? (just wait?) Any helpful ideas??

    Thanks!

Just another update!!! Looks like CSC sent a shipment of I-129F's to NVC on the 6th of NOV...... they are now telling me that my case is in that bundle!!! but I then asked the lady why when I called yesterday the other lady told me it was shipped on the 23rd of OCT?? she doesn't know why she told me that because there is nothing in the system that says my case was sent on the 23rd of OCT.......... looks like that lady just lied to get me off of the phone.

Also, like we all know, they do keep a tally of everytime you call them! thats a fact! she knew i called the day before but I don't think they know exactly why you called, just that you had placed a call....... unless there is a note section...... which i'm sure there is!!!

    anyways! just fyi for everybody

  2. ramzis51 - Congratulations!!!! FINALLY!!! I know you are very happy!!!

    I called NVC today.

this is pissing me off!!!! calling CSC today again to get an insight, this is ridiculous!!!!!

  5. I would recommend all of you waiting for your petitions to reach the NVC to write to them with your case number: NVCInquiry@state.gov

They reply as soon as they receive it, it usually takes them 5 - 10 days to reply to e-mails ... but atleast you dont have to keep thinking about it or calling them often.

    I did just that!!!

Should I contact my embassy that our case has been approved? would this get me ahead or anything?? new to all of this and not sure how it all works!! just learnin as I go!

    thanks

( and sorry, i'm addicted to these '!!!!!' --- all my friends pt this out in e-mails i send 'em!)

Since you don't have the NVC case number you can't really do anything. That's the number that the embassy uses to reference your case.

    Thanks ZeeNusah!

Guess, I can't get the NVC Case Number until the case has made it too NVC!!! (which sucks, this should be assigned at CSC) Anyways, when I do get the NVC Case Number, what can be done then? I can call the Embassy which will be processing the case and get the packet or can I just check the status at the Embassy??

    Thanks again everyone!

  6. Sallam Everybody!

I have received my NOA2 finally! My case however has not made its way tot NVC yet, nor to ISB.

I was wondering if there was anything I could do in advance? I have already prepared my I-134 (Affidivit of Support) and sent it to my fiance in Lahore.

Does anyone know what dates ISB Embassy is giving interviews for now? I hope my case makes it to ISB by Mid November. Inshalla!!!!!

    Thanks!

  8. I AM SO EXCITED! I called CSC today and they told me our petition was mailed to the NVC yesterday. I'm so happy I could cry! My nightmare is over!:dance::dance:

Mike you should call too, I bet yours is in the same batch.

Good luck to everyone still waiting! (F)

First of all.... CONGRATS! I hope it has actually been mailed and not sent back to the "mail room".... those guys are clueless as you know.

I called USCIS yesterday and was "escalated" to a second person after the first one said my petition should have been sent directly to the embassy and not to NVC  The second person could only say that as far as she can tell from the information it has been sent and should be there soon, just wait longer! AGHHHH I HATE THESE PEOPLE!!!

I got in touch with my congressman's office yesterday too and I just faxed them my information release form so they can do an inquiry on my behalf. That's about all I know to do now. Even the person on the phone at USCIS claimed that CSC has no phone numbers and there is no way she could contact them. And that if it hasn't been 90 days they can't even check on it.

UGH! I swear they will drive you insane!:help:

I actually spoke with the same person I spoke with on Friday, so I'm pretty sure he was giving me the correct info. But you are right, they are for sure clueless!

Have you tried calling using the RFE trick? It's the only way I can ever get a hold of anyone at CSC. Either way it really sounds like your petition has been sent somewhere - either the embassy or to NVC. I'm planning on calling NVC on Thursday to see if ours arrived. Keep the faith, it sounds like you are on your way :)

hey musicgirl.... what did you say to the peeps at CSC to get them to tell you more on your case status to NVC? the person i talked to seemed clueless and said it should have already been sent to NVC! any help would be appreciated! thanks

I called and used the RFE trick - make sure you are being transferred to CSC and not the main USCIS number. I simply asked if my petition had been sent to the NVC yet. No special trick :) Good luck!!

As a side note, they finally returned my call from Friday and the lady told me the exact same info that I was told today - that my petition was sent to the NVC. I was in total shock they actually called me back!

nice to know they are least return a call!! I simply asked as well and she said they had sent it to NVC shortly after the approval but no definite date!!!!! so, i'm hopin to see something this wk, else i'll call again next week!!

Just got off of the phone w/ NVC and she said they dont have my case yet and once they receive it they will forward it to the embassy!! she said they should have it by the end of the month or the first of the month!! so that makes it tomorrow or latest next week!!! Tomorrow will be 3wks and so a wk from tomorrow they should have it!! will call them then if I dont receive anything!

    thanks everyone

  9. I received notice in the mail today that our case was received by NVC and was being forwarded to Bucharest within a week.

Our NOA2 was 10-15-07 from CSC for those that are tracking timelines..

I was surprised actually. Less than 2 weeks from CSC to NVC. Much better than some other people have been experiencing..

thats awesome! congrats!!!! i'm jealous!! hope to get something from them soon!! Will NVC be able to tell me anything now? Any tricks to getting info outta CSC??

We're just lucky. I've never contacted either CSC or NVC at all. Early on I resigned to the fact that it was a futile exercise unless you get to a point where you really think something's wrong or your case is lost. Luckily we never ran into that, just waited 4 months for NOA2 like everyone else.. :)

nice! great approach! wish i coulda done that!! had inlaws all over askin every other day it seemed, for the status!! i was like, could I at least mail it first?? hahaha... inlaws! things to look forward to!!

  12. I have called NVC- still no luck :( What number do I call to talk to someone at CSC? Do I do the RFE trick or is there a legit way to check on when my file might be mailed out? Thanks!

Hi kjett, I've always used the RFE trick...I don't know if there is another way to get through. Good luck!

When you call CSC. One of the first choices is. "Are you calling about a petition that USCIS has Approved or Denied?"

Choose this option. Then follow the directions. I think the next choice is #1.

Do not need the FRE trick!

I called , they said mine was sent to NVC on October 26.

I just called CSC and she said my case was already sent but couldn't give me a date, she just said it was sent shortly after approval. She said I could call NVC for more information. It sounds like she just told me the "normal" nothing new sorta thing! but, I guess I will call NVC now and see whats goin on.

Do i receive a touch when it is sent to NVC? or does anything happen online or anything? or is the only way I find out is by calling NVC??

    Thanks everyone!

  13. Hey Guys!!

Just an update with my case! its still the same! still sitting at CSC some where!!! I was approved on Oct 10!! Have any cases been moved to NVC since then or around that time frame?? its only been about 2wks so i'm not surprised its still sitting, but curious how everyone else was doin!!!

thanks guys and goodluck to everyone waiting on NOA2's!!!!!!!!

Hey GoharRabia, when USCIS sends yours to NVC, tell them to add mine to the pile

    Me, too!!!

Will do! i'll have 'em rush our 3 petitions so the people behind us get through that much faster!!!!!! hahahaha

I would be happy to pay a few bucks for shipping to CSC to send mine individually!!! i mean come!! I'm sure NVC is getting bored while they wait on CSC!!!!!:unsure::unsure:

  14. sallam guys! random question! i'm sure you all know the answer to this!

My aunt/uncle have applied for a visa in 99 and I was curious what the age of the kids had to be to immigrant to the US w/ the Parents?? I wanna say its 18 but my mom told me someone told her it was now 21, which I find hard to believe!

anyone have any clue! or where to get this info?

    thanks!

    Definition of a Child

The immigration law defines a "child" as an unmarried person under the age of 21 (a minor) who is

    • A child born to parents who are married to each other (born in wedlock)
    • A stepchild if the marriage creating the steprelationship took place before the child reached the age of 18
    • A child born out of wedlock (the parents were not married at the time the child was born). Note: If the father is filing the petition, proof of a bona fide (real and established) relationship with the father must be supplied.
    • An adopted child if the child was adopted before the age of 16 and has lived with the adoptive parent(s) in their legal custody for at least two years
    • An orphan under the age of 16 when an adoptive or prospective adoptive parent files a visa petition on his or her behalf, who has been adopted abroad by a U.S. citizen or is coming to the U.S. for adoption by a U.S. citizen, or
    • A child adopted who is under the age of 18 and the natural sibling of an orphan or adopted child under the age of 16, if adopted with or after the sibling. The child must also otherwise fit the definition of orphan or adopted child

How Do I Bring My Child, Son or Daughter to Live in the United States?

    http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

    http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

Please note that it states 21 or younger on one site and I have seen many cases where the child came over at 17 or 18 and is now in deportation hearings since they have aged out before they completed the AOS processing. The parent was approved and while in AOS the child turned 21 or older and was denied and told they are being deported. Very heart breaking seeing families from Europe, Canada and such that are fighting the USCIS to keep their children with them now.

I am also active on another forum and the son was denied going out of the country to see his dying grandmother and told once he left US soil he would not be readmitted. He is in court and has an attorney and already been to two hearings and has another one scheduled at the end of the year and the family is being torn apart since he just turned 21 and has been in the states a few years now.

Edited to say this is for K visa status holders that marry USC.

Thanks a lot Mary! very helpfull information! Two of the 3 children will be above the age of 21 and the 3rd will be 20 about to turn 21 if they are admitted 10yrs after filing (they filed in 1999). So, it appears the one that is about to turn 21 will be permitted to come but then could possibly be deported since they will be 21 after the AOS! How long does the AOS take? I'm assuming it will take many years to do.

Thanks a lot for your help Mary!

  15. APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

    Receipt Number: *************

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

    Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On October 17, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

CONGRATS!!!!!! Nice to see more approvals!

  16. I-134 is affidavit of support, it is different than a letter for intent, but ues it can be the same only addressed to the consulate not USCIS and signed and dated closer to the consulate interview.

The consulates tend to treat the I-134 like a mini-I-864 as so prefer the same financial evidence as the I-864.

In our case this what the I-134 included.

    • I-134 signed and notarized.

    • SIMPLE Tax transcripts from the IRS for past 3 years, (Redundant for the (1040,W2,1099) but are free from the IRS http://www.irs.gov/faqs/faq1-6.html

    • Photo copy of IRS form 1040, and W2s for past 3 years (Not necessary if you provide the transcripts)

    • Letter from my employer stating annual salary, job responsibility, and that is full time, on company letterhead.

    • Photo copies of past month or so of pay stubs up to a few weeks before the interview.
My income was well above the povertyline so I did not include any asset data (LIKE BANK STATEMENTS or property values).

Oh ok, I make over $50,000 and i'm single. I have included my house value (estimate) amount left to be paid, bank statement, and other bank statements

  17. hey VJ'ers!!!

working on putting my I-134 together to send to the fiancee!!

I was curious, should the "Letter of Intent" for the I-134 (Affidavit of Support) be the same as the original filing except for the date? Was also going to change the location on the "Send Address" part to the US Embassy in Islamabad Pakistan

    Thanks!

  18. We are at 154 days from the "case received and pending" according the the USCIS web site....I am seeing a lot of people that filed later in the month being approved....this is very frustrating when you here the spill from the service center...."all applications are processed in the order they are received....YEAH RIGHT!!! I guess we all wold not be so frustrated if our applications would have been handled in a timely manner, or we would have know up front that it was going to be this long of a process.

You filed several weeks ahead of me so I do feel your pain and frustration. Even though I filed later, it still sucks when people get approved that filed after you. It is starting to happen with me now. I am very happy for these people but come on USCIS lets try to be fair about this process.

I have already checked the USCIS website about 10 times today, so I guess it's official; I am totally insane from this wait

Please approval all the rest of us May filers this week USCIS.

this has got to be your week afterforever!!!! too close of a timeline to mine and i was approved onthe 10th!!! your right there!! just a lil bit more to go!!!

    lets go csc!!!!!!
