Married. If he wants to file a joint return you need an itin. If he wants to file as separate you don't
Thank you!
Just now, Dashinka said:I agree, he cannot file as single as he is not single. Jointly or separately are his only options, and if he wants to file jointly he has to get an ITIN for you.
Good Luck!
I've been doing a little of research and it seems getting an ITIN takes time. Do you think would be best to file Married but Separately?

Hi All,
I have a question and I would like to ask for your advise.
My husband and I are still waiting on our I-130 approval. He's about to fill his taxes but we have an issue. We got married last year (August 2019 - I'm still living in Mexico) and his tax guy is telling him is best to fill as single since I don't have a SSC yet but our immigration attorney is telling him to file as "married filing separate" - she's also saying we will need an ITIN. Do you know what's the ITIN number? Do you think we will need it?

That’s what mine was showing yesterday too. That would be really great. But today it’s not showing any date.
Today TSC is showing August 30 - yesterday it was August 13. Hope this is true!

Hi everyone. Did anyone’s VJ estimate change significantly this past day or 2? Mine is a month earlier than it was showing before. I doubt it’s true, but I was just wondering if anyone else had that too.
Mine is showing April 2nd - That would be great!!!

You can’t see the center online. You’d have to contact USCIS through the Emma Chat or the secure message over the inbox of you USCIS-Account.
Thank you! I already sent a message over the inbox of my account.

If you didn’t receive a transfer notice, you’re probably still at the Texas Service Center. But you can try sending a message through the inbox to make sure. They will send you an automated response which has the service center on the bottom.
Thanks Shemuz!

No problem. Oh ok. Yeah, I’m sure they will send it to you if you ask them.
Hi All,
I finally have access to my USCIS account. I'm checking my case and it seems like I don't have any updates as of today. I'm only being able to see this:
I guess I'm still in Texas Service Center, right?
Thanks all for your help!

You have to log in to the myuscis account and there it has a tab I believe which is called my case and it says „in progress“ and above it has a date in orange.
I was searching for a screen shot online but didn‘t find one and hubby has the log in ☺️
Maybe someone else can post one.or maybe it would be in the field „última actualización“ but - as you said - didn‘t update.
Thank you!
1 hour ago, Shemuz said:If you go to myaccount.uscis.gov and login, you should be able to access your case status. There it will show you your submitted date and another more recent date which is the last updated date of your case. For mine it says February 23, 2020 with the status “In Process”.
Thanks for your help! I just created an account but I'm being asked for my access code. Do you know where do I get my access code? We only received the form "I-797C, Notice of Action" and I can't find the access code there.

Does anybody keep track of their estimated date on here? I’ve been keeping track and have noticed that it keeps getting pushed back further and further. I’m not sure if the service centers have really slowed down that much or if VJ members are just not updating their timelines.
Where did you see the change/update? It seems I'm not seeing any updates...

Where are you seeing August 3rd? And exactly! I can’t wait to be done with this first step and move on to the next step.

Yeah, my case is also in Texas. My VJ estimate is showing April. I hope we all get our approvals by April.
Today is VJ is showing August 3. Honestly, can't wait to be approved and move to the next step.

It looks like they’re moving very slowly through July. From what I’ve seen, I don’t think they have even started working on August yet. This really is a long and painful process.
My case is in Texas Office. I see Visa Journey's Processing Time shows they are currently in July 30.
It seems like they will be approving October fillers by April.

Hi Guys,
Any updates? It's been 4 months for us and still no news.
Hope you all are doing great!
-
Hi All,
I'm an October filler as well. We received our NOA1 with an IOE number on October 7, 2019. Our case was assigned to the Texas Center. We are hoping to get approved soon

Hi,
My case is very similar to yours. We filed on Oct 7, 2019. We are IOE as well but we got Texas. I've seen some people with IOE getting approved after 4-6 months.

Sure, I'll be posting any news I get from USCIS. hope you guys do the same. As today no changes, still waiiiiitiiiiing......, however my wife is here with her tourist visa for about 2 weeks (no problem at the airport, we though that was going to be an issue. although she had it before the I-130 petition).
I'm glad to hear your wife is visiting. I also have a visa but I will have to renew it since it's expiring in February 2020. I wasn't sure about renewing it but my lawyer told me that I could still visit the U.S. with my tourist visa and also my job might require me to fly.
