I arrived in the US March 3rd. Applied for my SSN on the 9th and received it today, the 17th. They told me at the office that they were having SAVE issues and that it would need to go for manual verification, something I didn’t want to happen because I figured it would be weeks before I heard anything. It was showing returned to agency all week so I was really surprised to get it today.

Literally, as soon as it's in my hand. I had to book my flight for Thursday because of an emergency medical situation with my fiance. I guess if it doesn't show I'll have to re-book it, but fingers crossed that's not the case! Purolator does say it will be here Wednesday.
You’ll have it by tomorrow. 🙏

@Forrest Fire & @UP488 -- Did Purolator send you a text message letting you know exactly which day your package would be delivered? Or was your only information about delivery date the "1-2 days" as stated in the consulate email that was sent?
I'm buying my flight for the very next day, and would love that information rather than hoping and praying it arrives before Wednesday.
I got a text message and and email with the tracking # which basically said 1-2 days but I received it the next day. Sent on Monday and delivered to me on Tuesday.

I received my visa just a few minutes ago!!! What an overwhelming rush of emotions!
Now you can officially say that this part is finally over. Mine is out for delivery. I have a chair pulled up to the window watching and waiting. I have things to do but I ain’t leaving this house until I have it in hand.

Did you opt for the $21 Purolator courier service or the free Canada Post service?
Yup, I did the $21 courier and just got the tracking email. 👍

Never mind, I just received an email with my Purolator tracking number and it says I should have it in 1 - 2 days!!!!!!!!!
Yes, I read that after about receiving an email with tracking #. Hopefully I’ll get my notification this morning.

Nice! I'm working until March 13th and planing to move on March 27th. Even though I still have 3 weeks to go, I'm giving it VERY minimal effort! LOL
Happy Last Day @UP488!!! When are you moving and where are you heading?
Just checked again and the status has updated to issued. Check yours. 🤞👍

I mentally quit 2 weeks ago after receiving the P4 and put my focus on travelling for the medical in Vancouver last week and then the interview in Montreal this week.
I wanted time to tie up loose ends here and pack so the plan is to leave March 5/6. Going to the Bay Area just outside of San Francisco.
Let me know as soon as your status changes and I’ll do the same. Fingers crossed it’ll be today, otherwise it’s gonna be a long weekend waiting for Monday to come. -

I'm still in AP this morning. You too @UP488?
Yup. Still in AP. This is my last day of work so I don’t anticipate doing much other than checking CEAC every 5 minutes. lol

I wonder how long we’ll have to wait in administrative processing?

Congrats! What supporting documents did you both submit for the affidavit of support?
I had the original l-134, last years tax return, letters from the banks confirming deposits and amounts, a W2 and a letter confirming employment. She took everything but whether she needed it all I don’t know.
Super easy though. The lady taking the paperwork and the officer asking questions were very friendly and apologetic for the wait which I didn’t think was so bad considering the whole process only took an hour.

Same here. Approved. It was quick. In and out within an hour.

I’m live in Alberta. I flew to Vancouver last week for my medical (350$ medical fee) and flew into Montreal tonight for my interview tomorrow morning. Definitely a PITA.

I’m in Montreal right now waiting for my 7:30 interview tomorrow! I’m looking forward to get this part over with!
I just boarded the plane after a 5 hour delay for my 8:30 in the morning interview.

Congrats! I also have my interview scheduled for March 4th , doctors appointment coming up this next Tuesday. Everything is going super smoothly now.
On the 'what to bring for the interview', its says we need to have the petitioner's birth certificate. Is it alright if it's a color copy? They're a little reluctant to be mailing around their only copy internationally, and I just wanted to check if any of you have had experience with this yet.
Thanks!
I was just wondering about that too. I have to double check to see if her original is in our pile of paper work. I had my medical done on Tuesday and interview is next Wednesday, the 19th.

Thank you! I just received my p4 this morning via email and I know @UP488 got theirs yesterday. I sent my p3 on Sunday (got automated reply) and then tues (got automated reply) and then again yesterday morning where I got no reply at all. I was suuuuper stressed too but I am crossing my fingers that you will get it by the end of this week!
Have you checked for open interview dates yet? 🤞

Congrats hopefully there are still some spots left!
I just scheduled my interview for Feb 19th at 7:30am. Both the 19th and 26th were still open, although I think the 26th only had an 8:30am slot open. Now I need to book my medical.
Anyone know if the interview confirmation letter is emailed or sent regular mail?

Congratulations!!!
Is there supposed to be a link in P4 to book online?

We sent our P3 on Monday with the last update being Feb 3rd. Still nothing regarding P4. Hopefully by weeks end we’ll have it.
Funny thing. As soon as I posted the message above I got the P4 email to book medical and interview.

I sent in my P3 over the weekend and resent today but have only gotten automated responses since then! CEAC even updated my case for feb 4 but I still haven’t received a specific response. Crossing my fingers and hoping to hear from the embassy soon..

Not to my knowledge. The difference between the first and second ready of only the "last updated" date change. The first time you see ready, well that's your first. Once that date changes to a more current date, that's your second ready.
That’s what I thought but wanted to confirm I wasn’t missing anything. Thank you Forrest.
Canada/US border is about to close. Are we considered essential travel?

I was wondering if you made it or were going to make it across since all this started. Happy you had no issue. 🙌
