  1. Hi everyone!

I had my interview today, all was almost ok, but  The Consulate didn't receive my medical on time.  I had  the Medical Exam with Medisys in Montreal on Dec 2nd  and I received an e-mail on Dec 8th  which said that it had been submitted to the eMedical system. However I was denied and given a section 221g form as my medical exam is still pending to be received. They kept my passport but I am still pending to be approved!

I knew anyone had the same experience. Please let me know if I have to wait 4 or 6 weeks. Where I can check my status.

  2. Hi everybody,

I have crossed into USA (Air Canada Flight from Toronto to Fl), last October since these restrictions. The official asked me:

    1.    What is the purpose of my visit?

    2.    How long will I be in USA?

    3.    When I am coming back?

    4.    If I have something to declare?

She did not asked for any single document, even though I carried my Marriage Certificate, she stamped my passport, and she authorized me to stay until April 21, 2021 (curiosly I got married on April 21, almost 3 yrs ago). Immigration has been a nightmare, the worst in my life!

For all who are traveling to USA in holidays, I suggest: be confident, be ready with documents in case, and also remember there are any exemption which include: Any foreign national who is the spouse of a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (we are an exemption).

    Blessings!

  3. I am glad your expedite was approved.   We have a long and painful  wait  24 months at USCIS and NVC.  our documentation was approved on Feb 2020 by  NVC. I  would like to requested an expedite based the long  waiting time and processing. My husband and I  have impacted.  In  2020,  it  is worst, because my husband was suffering with his eyes, which had  different kind of treatments:  laser, transclerral cyclophotocoagation, glaucoma drainage implant, and the last one replacement lens:  on Jul 25,  our dog pas-away, and it has been devastating  for us;  I could not take care of him. Also, this Plandemic  also. Additionally, my stress has been very high and my healthy is deteriorating, too.

Please let me know more details about expedite interview. I agree with you there is not to much information about it.

  4. Hey, I'm Canadian and my husband is American. We got married 2 years ago, and we are waiting for an Interview appointment in Montreal -CR1. I would like to know:  if I can visit him and stayed for 4 weeks over the lockdown; what documents I should be present to CBP; is there any Canadian spouse who have entered the USA since all the restrictions were placed on. Other words, I will be allowed to travel or not.  Please, let me know your advices. Thx

    Lots of options here...

    1) Return to Canada by land. As a citizen, you can still travel into the country.

    2) Keep trying to find flights. I did a quick search and there are at least a handful in early June showing as available.

    3) Contact a Canadian embassy or consulate. They may be able to provide repatriation services.

    4) File an Extension of Stay (EOS) via an I-539: https://www.uscis.gov/visit-united-states/extend-your-stay.

    5) Since you are already in the US, you are eligible to file for Adjustment of Status (AOS) via an I-485, instead of finishing consular processing abroad to get a visa. You won't be able to work or leave (and return) to the US for ~4-7+ months (likely more given the circumstances), the current timeline for EAD/AP approval.

There is no exception for overstay at this time due to COVID-19.

Overstay would make visiting again unlikely. But only 180+ days of overstay would impact the visa as that's when bans begin (well, unless one were to be deported). To be clear, I'm not suggesting this as an option (it would be in the list above), just pointing out how it does or does not impact an immigrant visa since you remarked on it possibly doing so. I would absolutely not suggest this in any way.

  7. Hi everybody,

I  got stuck in USA due to Corona virus.  I am Canadian and the admitted time to stay in USA  will finished on June 6, 2020.  All flights are suspending until June 30, 2020. Also all USCIS  offices are closed.

I would like to know if I will face penalties for overstaying in USA  during this time, because I am unable to leave before the expiration of the admitted time, and I can not simply apply for an extension at the competent authorities.

My case is also stuck , we are waiting for the interview appointment in Montreal since February 2020. Maybe my case will have a penalty too.

Please let me know any information, or idea about my situation.

    Thx

    IRS

I want to know if a Canadian who is not a permanent resident of USA, and is married to an American citizen, pays taxes for the salary she has received in Canada during 2019.  I have the ITIN  already.

    thx.

  8. Hi everybody,

Finally, NVC  accepted all documents I submitted on October 23, 2019, they took 57 days to accepted them.

But,  on December 11, 2019, they asked me for other document that I submitted them already, the same day.  After two weeks, I submitted it, they did not  accepted it.   My question is,  are they taking  another 57 days to accept it?

Please, if someone has any idea, let me know.

    thx,

    Rocio

  9. Hi everyone,

I submitted all civil documents on October 24, 2019. It looks like it’s closer, they are reviewing documents submitted on October 21, 2019. My case is not completed at the NVC (over 50 days ago) and I am waiting for an interview date to be assigned at the Montreal Embassy.  My visa category is I130 for alien relative. Is anyone in a similar situation?

When do you think, I will have the interview date. Maybe in January or February 2020.

     Thx,

    Rochio
