yeah the oath ceremony, I was researching the forum and some people caused them delay or the whole process in general if they change their name, I don't want any delay because I would be applying my son's US passport right after to save him from 2 yr GC expiration

I wanted to change my name the way it spells, because it totally changes the way it pronounce since I came here, plus on my 10 yr GC I used my mom's maiden name as my middle name instead of my dad's last name, I want it as my GIVEN NAME, HUSBAND'S LAST NAME, DAD'S LAST NAME.

DID SOMEBODY HAD EXPERIENCE IN PORTLAND, OREGON NAME CHANGE ON N-400? DID IT CAUSE DELAY? HOW WAS THE PROCESS? HOW MANY MONTHS IT TOOK YOU TO HAVE THE JUDICIAL OATH?

yes he's here with me, carrying 2 yr GC, what if expires and doesn't have the money to get his 10 yr GC,

what will happen if son's k2 visa will expire but mom have 10 yr GC?

Does it matter if I will just apply for his US passport? its cheaper, why go for N-600?

If your son is under the age then he can piggy back off your application..

If I will be a citizen, there's still a need for him to apply his naturalization too? he is 10 years young

My son is a GC holder now, his GC will expire on OCtober this year

I got my 10 yr GC last year of October, my son came here as a K2,his GC will expire this year on October, I was thinking I will file my Naturalization asap so I don't need to apply for his GC and he would be automatic to be naturalize, my question is:

1). I will be going for a vacation by June this year for a month in the Philippines, I am hoping it doesn't affect my application?

2). Is there any necessary papers to fill up for my son so he would be included in the application? or is there any process to be done after my naturalization so he can be automatic to be a citizen also?

I read that once you have your biometrics appointment, you can go in to the ASC during walk-in hours. Does anyone know the walk-in hours for Portland, Oregon or how I can find them? I've tried searching online everywhere!

I don't know about the walk in hours in Portland office, the best bet would be you come early in the morning, that's what I did and there's just couple people with me, good luck!

10 year green card received today in the mail! that was quick after the approval mail!

We received the approval letter yesterday and today we received the "green card". Now relaxed until N-400 application...Please do update the timeline..

Thank you to all who helped and gave their best advice... Best of luck to all who are still waiting for approvals

I received the approval letter today but got the email approval yesterday, the approval date of decision is October 12, 2010....anyhow, hopefully the Green Card will be here tomorow!
