  1. Hello! My husband's case just got approved last week.

Since our local office is backed up, we thought we had to wait another year for our interview to be scheduled.

So we weren't expecting anything and I haven't been checking this website or case tracker app for awhile now.

But we just got our AOS case approved letter with another envelop with actual 2 year greencard in mail and we never had our interview which was weird.

Anyhow, I'm super happy and excited!!! Good vibes to everyone!!!

  2. My case is September/October 2020 and it is ready to be scheduled for interview right now.

I just got the new card is being produced yesterday for work authorization.

I guess Sacramento cases are moving slow but at least work auth came in so I'm excited.

I'm assuming it's taking about 2 years to get interview in Sacramento?

Please let me know if anyone else has similar timeline and how it's going.

    Thank you!

Congrats! Just had a look at your timeline - so sorry you had to wait that long just for the Bio appointment! I was very lucky to get one of the last appointments before everything shut down last year. I hope the EAD arrives soon!

Hey, if you don't mind me asking, how long did it take for you to get EAD since finger print?

And thank you for your kind words!

  4. It feels like everyone is moving forward a little bit at least.

We haven't even gotten finger print letter yet which seems weird.

It even took us a month or two to get 3 receipt numbers.

Is anyone else on a similar situation or is it just us?! I'm getting a little impatient.

I've emailed the congress person but I might have to call them if it continues.

    Please share some advice!

Thank you. How long before they cashed your check? Did you mean 9/30?

Yes sorry my mistake. We filed 9/30.

I think it took a month and a half or close to two months when they cashed our check.

I was in your shoes thinking they lost our case but I knew someone signed and got our files from fedex.

Thankfully my patient wait led to some answers in the end and more to wait!

  6. So, I finally got the receipt number for tracking as I said above.

But turns out, we received 3 different receipt numbers for tracking.

1st tracking says: On November 19, 2020, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status

2nd tracking says: On October 1, 2020, we received your Form I-131, Application for Travel Document

3rd tracking says: On October 1, 2020, we received your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization

So looks like they took a month and a half of break until they finished the other half of our application.

is this normal?  I guess this means I have to start tracking all three numbers...

"Talk to an agent about my application" > selected "Green Card" > "yes" to already have a case > "don't have a receipt number" > question "inquire about my application"

This was a huuuuuuge help! Thank you so much!

I pasted that advice to my husband and he did and called and maybe waited 5m and he finally got the receipt number! YAY!!!

I sill have to wait for NOA too but the case status says the fee was paid for fingerprint + AOS so I'm much relieved.

Thank you everyone for updates and let's keep it up! 👍

  8. THEY FINALLY CASHED MY CHECK!!!!

I was worried sick for a long time since me and my husband tried once with USCIS chat and call but

during one of the call, agent mistakenly hung up on my husband and we couldn't find the time to call them back yet.

I still have NOT received any text, email, or mail for notice of receipt or receipt number.

I guess they're working pretty slow.

But I'm relieved to see that $1225 has been cashed by USCIS Chicago.

    Yaaaay!!!!

It seems they are taking a long time right now so don’t worry too much!

I also emailed the lockbox on 10/26 and didn’t get an answer but the waiting time is 30 days...

What I did was connect on ask Emma and put live agent. Then click on case status and I don’t have a receipt number. It will offer connect to a live agent.

That’s how I got my receipt numbers (my husband had to do it again to get his receipt for the I130).

My package was received 10/02 and the receipt numbers created 11/03. The credit card charge appeared 11/05.

I haven’t received the hard copies yet but hopefully they’ll be in the mail sometime this week!

    Thank you for such details!

I will definitely try the live agent thing! I'm not sure if they're working tomorrow but worth a try.

I hope they work faster!!! again thanks so much Nina!

    Hey Sarah,

To give you a bit of hope and announce my great news, I’ve been asking on the chat with live agents (through Emma) every couple days and I finally got receipt numbers today!!!
My package was received on Oct 2nd and apparently, they sent the receipts on Nov 3rd. The charge appears on the credit card as of the 5th of November.

So give it a couple of days or ask them in the chat!

    Hello! Thanks for your update!

I still haven't received anything, no alerts and no check movement.

I have the name of the person who received our file at Chicago from fedex but that's it.

I don't have receipt number so even if I choose the chat service, it tells me to email the Chicago lockbox to see if they lost it or received it.

I have emailed them more than a week ago now I think but still nothing.

I don't know if this in normal processing time or is there any way I can contact USCIS regarding this matter?

seeing they are processing cases received after mine, I’m getting very worried and impatient

Me too! I'm worried about it as well.

I had to recheck my fedex status to make sure they received it and checked all the versions of the forms.

Are the forms processed at local offices? because I think Sacramento office is quite busy, which then I can kind of understand the delay.

Hopefully I hear something until the weekend. 🤞
