Well maybe they are doing more risk based assessments! My husband's case status changed today as well! If this status is true, we got approved in a little over 5 months with no interview!

We sent to the Phoenix Dropbox and were assigned to the National Benefits Center (MSC).

    New Card Is Being Produced

Looking forward to my husband getting the card in the mail and being done with forms and waiting for awhile. It will also be nice not to take that extension letter on trips -- we had an extremely easy time getting back to the US from Dublin over the holidays, but it's one less thing to worry about when traveling.

    Wow, congratulations🍾

Today, my status changed to “Case was approved”. We’re almost the same!

Hope everyone gets approved soon too‼️

Lets pray the risk based approach is here and these are not anomalies. Happy for you. What was your center?

    Thank you 😊

My center was National Benefit Center at which you don’t know processing time.

I came to USA with CR1, which usually requires an interview. I saw a Japanese person who got a GC without interview even through I-130 & I-485 process. Her American husband didn’t file tax return properly though. I do believe they’re doing the risk based approach.

Wow we have very similar timelines and submitted to the same Dropbox and were sent to the same Service Center. No movement after biometrics for me yet but I'm wondering if I dare be slightly hopeful due to your story. Regardless, congratulations on getting through the process so quickly!

    Thank you 😊

I’m still suspicious until the actual card arrives.

It’s frustrating that we don’t know processing time for MSC cases. I hope your case will be approved soon!

  4. Went to a biometrics appointment at Oakland, CA yesterday.
My appointment was 11:00am and I went there at around 10:30. They let me in at exactly 10:45 (15 mins prior to the appointment time). Because I was the first one who came to the office of all 11:00am appointment people, everything was done before 11:00am actually.

My case status online changed to “Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken” today.

We got assigned to National Benefits Center (MSC) too! Do you know if there's a difference in processing time between the two National Benefits Center codes? I was looking in the processing times and it seems like at least some of the latest approvals for NBC took a year or less. 🤞 Also, I've only been following the I-751 threads since July -- is there a reason there's a higher possibility of interview?

Ciao, I’m not sure what is difference between a case originally assigned to MSC and a case transferred to NBC. But visa journey told me the latest approval estimate for my case is April 2, 2024😳 I have no idea what this estimate is based on because USCIS doesn’t show the processing time when it comes to MSC case…

Regarding the interview, I found this article issued by DHS, which says cases with MSC will have a interview.
    https://www.dhs.gov/publication/uscis-processing-concurrently-pending-forms-n-400-and-forms-i-751

But, I also read this article too. This says a conditioned green card processed through a consular might be also interview waiver.
    https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/news-releases/uscis-implements-risk-based-approach-for-conditional-permanent-resident-interviews

This article is just April 2020, and I really hope this applies to me as well🤞🤞🤞

Just got a text message! Case was received and will be processed at Potomac.

Processing time estimate is 23.5 months…

    Now the wait begins 🙃

Mine went to National Benefits Center (MSC*********), which means no idea how long I have to wait😇 and a high possibility of a interview😇😇😇
