  1. Status: Delivered

Your item was delivered at 10:53 PM on June 8, 2008 in CHICAGO, IL 60680.

Hoping for NOA1 & check cashed soon :)

    Hola:

Got I-693 Medical and Vaccines completed by Civil Surgeon today June 06, 08. He transferred the vaccines my wife had in Vietnam plus he did the TB skin test and blood test as required per the CS. The whole thing cost $125. Was worth it and worry-free RE: medical RFE. Also the AoS and EAD applications were completed and mailed off today to Chicago Lockbox. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God Bless!:dance::dance::dance::dance:

  2. I only submitted the DS3025 - I was willing to take the RFE if it came and then do the Civil surgeon routine - but it was accepted and never questioned during the AOS interview either. So, if you are OK with a possible delay - you can take a chance too, but if you must have the greencard etc. now, then better do the I693 now. Good Luck

    Hello???

You filed for your AOS back in 2005. New form and instructions have changed now. Pls read new instructions on form I-693.

  3. Hola:

Just wondering if anyone has filed their AoS petitions (I-485) recently. March, April, May? Where are you people? I don't see your profiles being updated or you're still working on it. You know who you are :). Just an FYI we sent ours in on June 06, 08. Let's hope for the best and wishing good luck to all (F)

  4. Hi my fellow VJ'ers :) ..... I will be having my biometrics on June 19. I'm wondering if I have to be there on the exact time stated in my appointment letter or making it within the day will also be okay. And, do you think my passport will suffice as a proof of identification to present along with my appointment letter?Thank you in advance to those who will take time to answer me.

    Hi:

Is the biometrics appt. for AOS and EAD together? How many biometrics notices did you get, one or two? Thanks

Hi :)....I got one notice both for AOS and EAD. Am I suppose to get one letter for each?

hi :) I haven't got one yet, but I think one will do for both :) Hope you'll get transfered to CSC. Good luck :)

  6. The Vaccination Documentation Medical Worksheet is the DS-3025 if I am not mistaken....

The best bet would be to find a local civil surgeon, bring in the Vaccination worksheet and let him/her decide if you need anything additional and then let them transcribe the vaccination worksheet and add the additional ones to the vaccination supplement (sometimes called the I-693A)

The Vaccination Documentation Medical Worksheet is the DS-3025 if I am not mistaken....

Look for small print at the bottom.

Take what you have to a designated civil surgeon and have him transfer your info to a I-693. Submit with I-485 in the sealed envelope.

Dr. Arnold in Texas is the cheapest. $20 and done by faxing!

    Thanks for your suggestions...

What should I do if I don't have the DS-3025? All I have is a photocopy of a sheet with vaccinations on it, written by the doctor who did my medical for the K-1. Should I just give that sheet and any other vaccination records to a civil surgeon to transfer to an I-693?

    Janny

Bring your vaccines you had in your country to civil surgeon to transfer plus you need a TB skin test and a blood test as per the civil surgeon. The TB skin test/blood test is a new thing. My wife did the whole thing for $125. We went to another surgeon and he said she needed the same thing even if she had the full med exam done oversea within a yr.

  7. Congrats!

    What is CR-1?

The CR-1 (less than 2 years married)/IR-1(more than 2 years married) Visa is an option that married couples have. It looks like you are doing a K-1, so it isn't an option for you.

It is essentially the best Visa you can get since it permits work immediately upon arrival. There is no Adjustment of Status (AOS).

    Gracias for info!

Marriage License in Viet Nam is a hassle dealing w/ the Gov. It's easier in the U.S. K-1 is fine w/ me. :)

  8. She's not planning to travel any time soon or b4 GC arrives. We can always file later with a I-485 reciept notice. Thanks for reminding :)

Hope you filed for AP also?

  9. All completed and mailed in AoS and EAD today: June 06, 08. Paid $125 for full med exam and transfer vaccines docs from Viet Nam to I-693.

My wife had full medical exam by the civil surgeon. Cost was $125 including full exam, blood test, TB skin test and transfer vaccination docs. I-693A no longer available, I-693 Part II vaccination section now replaces the I-693A, plus she went to another civil surgeon and was told she needed the TB skin test and blood test (for $225). So we didn't want to take any chances of getting an RFE for this medical thing, so we went ahead and did the full med exam for $125 (125$ is high, but still more reasonalbe than $225: Dr. is in Albuquerque, NM ( even though she had one done oversea already). Also heard ppl paid $500 to get a new full med exam just to avoid the hassle of getting an RFE over this med. thing. I heard from people b4 have rec'd RFE for TB skin test even they had medical exam oversea. Don't want to get any RFE re: medical, RFE is no fun and delaying case processing.

Will get results in a couple of days and pick up seal envelope from Dr., then will submit AoS application.

  12. We did the same thing: TB skin test and Blood test for $125. We'll go back Friday for same process as yours. The cost for whole exam in Viet Nam was only $75. Here's is expensive. I guess TB skin test and blood test are required now even if u had exam done oversea.

We were at the doctor yesterday and I had a TB shot... plus the doctor took some blood... I have to go back tomorrow so he can check the TB and give me the paper... I payed $200.... :ranting:
  13. Gracias for info :)

My wife had her full medical exam in the Philippines in April 4th 2008.

Last week, we found a civil surgeon in Los Angeles and the doctor said that we needed the following for the I-693:

    a. blood test

    b. tetanus test

    c. skin test (tb test)

We paid $130 cash in a Los Angeles clinic.

After a few days, the skin test shows +tive, but we were told that most asians are + since in the Philippines many are exposed to TB.

The doctor looked at the most recent X-Ray taken at the medical exam in the Philippines and the doctor said that her lungs are clear.

So we're gonna pick up the sealed brown envelope tomorrow.

The doctor said everything looks normal.

  15. Hi,

We paid nothing to have medicals transferred. Below is the civil surgeon used.

Dr. Jeffrey Ryan, Michigan Avenue Immediate Care, Chicago Consulting Physicians

104 South Michigan Avenue, Suite 905, Chicago, IL 60603

    (312) 201-1234

But didn't you need to have another TB TEST DONE + BLOOD TESTS?? THATS WHAT THE DOCTOR TOLD ME...

    Hi:

The Civil Surgeon told me the same thing. My wife will have them done 2morrow. We have everything ready for AoS except this. By end of the week we'll mail it in. :innocent:

  16. it has been 3 week and 1 day and my ssn application is still pending for verification.

do i just wait? or is there anything i could do?

please help, i don't see anybody waited this long to get ssn.

After 2 wks, if u dont hear from them, go in the office with the reciept letter and ask them to verify it for you. My wife got hers in just one wk. Good luck.

Big congrats! I just went with my wife to Cho Ray Hospital to pick up the medical result since I kept her passport with me when I did my tax return. Anyway, we're waiting for our interview on this Thursday.

Good luck with the interview. Pink :) Have fun and enjoy Viet Nam :)

  18. Is that for the K1 visa? or for AOS?

In my country I didn't need any TB test neither in USA for Adjustment of status and was approved. I don't what are the rules about why some countries need to do that

It's for AoS. When my wife went to see the CS, he said that she needed TB skin test and blood test plus transfer docs to I-693. Cost $225. I called another CS and was quoted with prices: transfer docs to I693: $20, TB skin test: $15, and blood test: $25. That's a lot of differences from $225. I haven't done it yet, but will go to the one with 20$ for transfer docs and see what else she needed for her Medical/Vaccination.
