Hi VJ members
two days ago i did my interview for the GC and it went smoothly and we answered all the questions honestly. The interviewer was nice.
he kept alot of pictures with whole case and he told me that, by the time i got here to the us i was missing some vaccines so i need to take them. So he told me i will print what you need now better than waiting it in the mail.
but he didn’t give his decision when we finish the interview. And whenever i go to doctor to get the shots they get confused and they said how do we give you vaccines shot and we don’t have your record, i ended up taking the shots and I submitted i693 form and I don’t know what’s gonna happen after.

Hi VJ members
i filed AOS last year in November and i was supposed to have my interview on March 21th but unfortunately it was cancelled..... so till now im still waiting my interview to be rescheduled. I tried to contact uscis they told me that my case is outside normal processing times and they wrote a ticket for Detroit office and Detroit office replied that they’re still closed!

No.......Please list a link where you heard this.....
I heard from an attorney where i filed my green card he told me only one person last week got his interview scheduled online
7 minutes ago, Luckycuds said:Are you asking if interviews are being conducted online? If so then the answer is no. Interviews need to happen in person.
So r they rescheduling interviews in person or no? Because My interview got scheduled on March 20th and it was canceled and I haven’t got my interview rescheduled again

Hi VJ members
i just want to ask you ... is it real that USCIS is rescheduling interviews for green card online instead in person after the shutdown?
thanks so much

Hi , i just want to know if uscis offices are rescheduling again since they opened because I haven’t received an interview notice since they canceled my interview
thanks so much

Hi VJ members , does unemployment Due to Covid19 affect the green card application? Is it considered as a public charge rule?

Hi VJ members
i came to the us through k1 visa and wen I adjusted my status i used to receive receipts and notice of actions from uscis which have alien number in the receipts so I thought im alien resident. but I haven’t received my green card yet due to the pandemic. I just recently got my work authorization.
so my question is. Am i alien resident or non-alien? Because this would help in the tax withholding.

Hi VJ members
one week ago i got a check it was in a mail that under my name but the check doesn’t have my name. I don’t know where to take it to return it.
i took it to the bank to give it to them they didn’t take it. And the check has a lot of money and I don’t want to mess things up.

I saw that in a previous post as well. Which led me to believe that there probably is a joint sponsor who may need to step in and be helpful.
Okay the joint sponsor is really helpful.. but it’s been more than 5 months.. should he come everyday and to give me money about everything and already spent a lot of money on my wedding and we’re from different cultures and our rituals are different as well so don’t judge please. I have a question for you. Would u accept that someone spend on u money? And ur old enough to go and fight for this hard life? Be fair be human

I have also noticed the absence of the wife in all this. Even his posts come across as someone who is living alone, asking for help with US-specific terminology such as “healthcare exchange”, for example. Most people here on marriage-based visas ask their USC spouse what these things mean. I still ask my husband what certain words/phrases mean and I’ve been here over 3 years. He also says “I’m running out of money”. Where’s the wife in all this?
No all people should know about immigration and my wife is not old enough have all these experiences and about the run out of money, just keep in mind not all people are rich so they can help.. have u seen people working all day just to afford their rent and their bills?
and we’re in a situation that my wife got off from her job cuz of the covid19 how is she supposed to help me?
I don’t accept that im man of my actions i have to help her... i love how u guys are convinced with the immigration rules. I dare u to give one reason about wat is the difference between now before i got eligible to work and 5 months ago when I was not eligible. What has changed? -

So where is your wife in all of this? From your post history I can tell that you are struggling with a few things. You are desperate to get your EAD because you're running out of money. You were having a hard time trying to find health insurance because you couldn't be added to her Medicare or Medicaid.
Your wife has a responsibility as your petitioner and sponsor. She should support you financially, and she should help you navigate the healthcare system. If you have a joint sponsor, they have that responsibility as well.
You said you worked before you filed for AOS, so that would have been in November? Why would you go back there 5 months later to collect a check? That makes no sense.
Your wife needs to step up and help you with this. And both of you have to do a lot of research on this immigration process. You seem pretty clueless, and it's very important to understand what is coming and what the rules are.
Edited to add: I think there may be a language barrier here as well. It's hard to fully understand the laws and rules of a new country if you're not fluent in the language. Your wife has to help you with that, or find someone who can. You should not have to try to figure it all out by yourself.
First of all not all employers have health insurance so she can add me to her health insurance... secondly she’s only 21 years old she’s not free to look up for immigration proceedings , she got school and work to do. And not all people are rich like you so you be out of money one day.. and I just wanted an advice. I don’t care if they deny me cuz of I worked. Can you tell me what is the difference between now and 5 months ago? Im still i am nothing changed. Before five months I cannot work and i have been waiting so now i can work.. this doesn’t make sense at all.
and about my language... i got ielts certificate 7 out of 9 so ur not a teacher to rate my language.

Exactly but too late now.
Op, just answer the questions under oath at your interiew truthfully. All you can do.
I got a mail for my interview cancellation due to covid19 but In the website Status still shows that my interview was scheduled

This WILL come up at your GC interview and you will have to tell the truth.
The truth is that I didn’t know that I cannot work under k1 visa and the employer didn’t ask me for social security or an id and wen my social security came in the mail i saw that they need dhs authorization so i quit right after i saw my social security

Risky move
You now have a W4 with a start date way before your work authorization
Actually I didn’t know that I cannot work under k1 visa and at that time the employer didn’t ask me for social security or id and when my social security came in the mail, it says that valid for work only with dhs authorization, ever since, I realized that I cannot work until my work authorization comes and u quit right away and I didn’t take any check at that time

Hi VJ members
i got to the United states since November 2019 through k1 visa and i applied for my GC and my work authorization, but before i applied for anything i worked with a grocery shop for one week but I didn’t know that I cannot work until i get my work permit and as soon as i knew i quit right after i knew. But I didn’t give anything to the employer such as social security or id and I didn’t take any check from them. And i told them I cannot work for now. So today i got my work authorization and i went to the grocery shop to get my check for the week that I worked earlier, they gave me to sign form i-9 and w4
is that gonna effect me or wat?
i gave my work authorization and my social security when i got my work authorization in hand to get my checkthanks u

Hi VJ members
can you please tell me what do these statuses mean for my work permit
yesterday on the uscis it said “ my card is being produced”
and today it changed to “ my case was approved” and what is the difference between both statuses
thank you so much

Hi guys,
I applied for health insurance on the market place and filled out my application. And based on my information i provided. They asked if im a citizen or lawful permanent resident or i have NOA from uscis and they told me as following:
Maybe eligible for free or low cost coverage through medicaid
my question is that possible??

Today! 24th of Feb
I filled aos in 2019 November
so its not required from me as An essential requirement

For anybody filing or AOS on or after the 24th (not the OP's case), having health insurance is asked and is a heavily weighted negative factor if you do not have it or show plans to have it soon (presumably they would ask again at the interview). Check the I-944: https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/i-944-pc.pdf
24th of which month

Yeah, well unfortunately she signed on as your sponsor, so she needs to be involved in this.
When you say "medicare" do you mean medicaid? Because Medicare is for persons age 65 and up.
So what should i do
can can we get a shared health insurance

Vaccines RFE
in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas

I wasn’t required to do the i693 form because the us embassy where i took my visa was supposed to finish all of them when i went and did my medical exams because i came to the us through k1 visa and I gave the package in the airport which includes my medical exams. But he told me that my country didn’t have these vaccines and i need to take them. It’s not evidence or something like that. It’s just a vaccines. They should have sent me a notice before the interview to finish them.
if u say they tell everyone in the interview notice to finish the medical exams but it says if required and I wasn’t required to do anything with medical exams because i already did that and I didn’t know that i was missing some vaccines because the medical exams i did in my country im not allowed to see what is inside and it was sealed.
and the officer told me whenever you finish the paperwork of the vaccines and you send it , you will receive an approval notice in about 2-3 weeks
