  1. Hey guys. I sent my I 130 in on may 18th. Still no cleared check or NOA-1. It's almost been a month.. argh.. oh wellz....

Is it slow everywhere else too? Or just the Texas center?

    Kristi

Mine was received in the Nevada Service Center on May 18. I am experiencing same thing, check not being cashed and no NOA1. So to answer your question, yes, others are slow as well. It seems Vermont and California are fairly quick though.

  2. Hello PKewl!

Thanks for keeping us informed. Yours is coming from California and I sent mine to Nevada, so I am not sure if this means good news for me yet, but I sure am hoping

no it is a manual process. VJ has a lot of stats here http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/stats.php that are automatically updated based on the data members enter in their timelines (as you did).

This table is just a short summary of April/May/June K3 filers..

    Hi All,

As promised, I wanted to update everyone on my case. As updated in my signature, I received NOA1 for my wife's I-130 today, which was received by CSC on 05/17/07. :)

However, there are some strange things (maybe personally for me) that I observed with my case and I wanted to share with other people here to see if they are having similar experiences .

    1) As of today, 06/06/07, my check still hasn't cleared my bank account. I just checked online before this post. The only thing that I can think of is maybe there is a delay on my bank's side of update, which I doubt since its a national bank and hasn't been the case in the past.

    2) The "Notice Date" in the NOA1 is 06/01/07 but I received the notice letter just today in the mail. Apparently, it was mailed on 06/04/07.

Anyhow, I am sort of happy that I am atleast seeing some baby steps taken in my case. It was just getting little frustrating with everyday passing by and not getting the NOA1.

I wish e'one here(including me) all the best for some positive progress in their case.

G&A: Next time when you update the sheet, can u please update my info. Thanks a lot. Appreciate ur time and help.

  3. Hello Pkewl,

I sent my I-130 on 5/17/07 and it was received at CSC in Nevada on 5/18/07. I too, have not received my NOA1 nor has my check cleared the bank. I filed same date as you, so I am hoping that you will keep me informed of any correspondence from them that you get, so that maybe I can start looking for correspondence from them to me. Let's stay in touch.

    Thanks,

    Deb

I-130 for my wife and step-daughter is sitting on the couch, waiting for the post office to open Teusday.

We married May 8, 2007 but I have been waiting on the contract for our apartment to be finished.

The new "Prove your really married" section of the I-130 seems so difficult for newly wed couples.

I will file my petition May 29.

Someone asked why people wait months to come to USA after they get their visa approved.

My wife already said this would happen.

She has a job, and family, and property that will require her time.

With the uncertainity in the approval process, we can't really schedule to do much ahead of time.

While we would love to be together as soon as possible, we have to handle all the reponsibilities we have too.

I look forward to listening to all your stories as we all progress along this journey.

    Hi All,

I am in the same boat as you all are. In fact, since I am not at the K-3 stage yet, I actually made a new thread in the IR/CR section to keep track of May I-130 filers. I mailed my I-130 to CSC and according to USPS website tracking, it reached CSC at about 10:30 AM as of 05/17/07. As of 05/31/07, I still haven't gotten the NOA1 and the check hasn't been cleared either from my bank account.

Since I am also going to file I-129F (K-3 Spouse), I am waiting so badly for my -130 NOA1 so that I can finally sent my I-129F packet off, which I have already prepared.

    --------------------------------------------

If anyone is interested, this is what I posted in the other forum:

    Hi,

I need some help to determine if I should have received my NOA1 (I believe its called) by now for my I-130, which I filed for my wife on 05/17/07 (recv'd by CSC per USPS web tracking). If it matters, I overnighted it late on 05/15/07 and hence it was received by CSC at 10:30 AM on 05/17/07 according to USPS.

    My question:

In short, as of 05/31/07, I still haven't received any notice/correspondence from USCIS/CSC in regards with my wife’s I-130 application. In addition, as of today (05/31/07), even the check hasn’t been cleared from my bank account. I was told that I should receive the receipt in a week or so and since its been two weeks now, I was wondering if I should be worried about it and if I need to start emailing/calling (if its possible to do so at this point in time).

The reason why this is so important to me is becasue I am planning to file I-129F for the K-3 visa for my wife and hence its required for me to wait for the I-130 receipt, so that I can include it in my I-129F package.

Is there currently a delay at CSC in initial processing of I-130, at least as far as NOA1 is concerned? Can anybody please give me some input and if other May I-130 filers to CSC can share their timeline/status with me that 'd be great.

Thanks to all for your help and time. Appreciate it.

    Regards,

    Pkewl

  4. Yes we should all stick together and provided moral support (and some light hearted competiveness perhaps? :) )!

My husband (oh I love saying that :) !!!) posted I-130 for me and the children on 23rd May  . He is not able to check the mail regularly for the next couple of weeks so I am just going to relax about it all for 2 weeks! I already have the I-129f stuff put together!!

Best of luck to you all! I'll keep you posted

    Emma

HAHAHA I agree I love saying that too! I mailed my I-130 with the USPS today (to Vermont). It's terrifying and exhilerating at the same time. We're finally in the process! I already see the light at the end of the tunnel.

This thread is such a great idea thank you so much for starting it G&A!! I guess it's time to start on the I-129F now.. eek!

I noticed by reading some timelines on here that when spouses finally do get the visa, many of them wait a month or two before coming over. I talked to my husband (yay!) about that tonight and he said he wants to fly out the very next day lol. I wonder why they wait so long? After putting up all the money for all the trips back and forth and all the filing fees, I can't imagine waiting another day longer than necessary.

I filed May 17 and USCIS received on May 18 and I have not received any word yet either. Just sitting here patiently waiting.

  5. Can anyone please help me concerning what to include when filing the I-130? Do you include wedding pictures, emails, chats, ect. showing how and when your relationship started or do you only include these items for the interview? The only thing I can find is that you need to show intermingling of finances, a lease with both your names on it, etc. I will be filing on Monday so really need to know how others put it together who have already filed.

I would really appreciate everyone's help.

    Thanks,

    Deb

    Hi:

I would save emails, chats and finance information for the interview. I included wedding pictures, wedding invitation, marriage certificate and an affidavit form the priest who performed the wedding ceremony along with the actual application, passport photos, check and citizenship certificate.

    Good luck!!

    Hello,

So you included your wedding pics/invitation, marriage certificate, etc. when you filed your I-130? I need to know what is required and what USCIS is looking for just for I-130 for now. Thanks so much for your reply.

    Thanks,

    Deb
