They have not requested my father in law to send back his passport yet. 

Don’t worry... they will ask soon once they are done with administrative processing.

status updated today (June 9th) since we sent off the remedical on May 19th. Still refused. No instructions on sending the passport back yet or anything else.  

They didn’t ask for passport or pictures? What about updated ds 260

Just that re oath hasn't been happening with the applicants lately so that's very unusual with my case. 

Were you given a 221g form at your first interview or any other documents they requested?

last update was May 6th when we received the request for documents. Medical completed by May 18th, mailed ds260/passport pics on May 19th.

Case updated today may 28th in response to our inquiry if documents received to which they responded no. 

Check with courier if they submitted passport plus also make a call to your medical centre.

Was your case updated after medical and document submission? When was your last update cuz medical is submitted electronically

Medical 16-Apr

Update on Apr 22nd: Status Refused

 

May 4th - Status changed from Refused to Administrative Processing

 

Updated on May 5th, May 17th(Primary Only), May 19th, May 21st, May 24th (primary Only)

Issued on May 25th.

 

 

So 6 week after medical and 3 weeks after status changed from refused to AP.  Buti think key point is the 6 weeks it takes after medical.
