It depends on the consulate. Right now CR1 interviews at Montreal are approximately 2 months (give or take a few weeks) after case complete, which happens about 3 weeks from when you submit your documents. If you don't have any issues with your documents and get case complete first go, I'd say the interview is about 3-4 months from where you are now. Every time you have to submit more documents it adds about an extra 3 weeks to that estimate though.

I'm getting a 6 week case complete time and then five months after that for an interview. Where did you get this information?

If you did everything right, and all the documents are in order, then it will be 6 weeks until you're DQ. If there's an error or they require additional documentation, NVC will email you and tell you to log back in and check the messages for what's wrong/missing.

Once you upload those corrections or additional documents, you go back into the queue and wait another 6 weeks. They are running 6 to 7 weeks right now on all submissions. Unfortunately, you go to the back of the line if you have to resubmit. That process can be annoying.

When it's all done and you're DQ, then you'll wait for the interview letter, which will give you the interview date.

Since it seems like Canada is running behind on the IL, you're likely 6.5 months from the IL and roughly 7.5-8 months from the actual interview itself.

But you might get lucky and get your IL faster! You never know. Either way time goes fast so you'll be done before you know it.

    Good luck to you!

Thanks, Robbie! That's about what I was expecting. Let's hope time moves fast! It will literally be two years since we got married until the interview. Why is this process so insane?! It makes me so sad.

  3. Hi everyone! I'm new to the NVC process. We just submitted all of our documents on 12/21/2019 and paid all of our fees. Is 12/21/2019 our case complete date or are we waiting for an email from NVC saying they have all of our documents and our case is complete? And the day we get that email is the day our application is actually complete?

Also was looking at the case complete spreadsheet and it looks like Canada is taking 5+ months on average to get an interview. Does anyone know what is happening in Canada?

Anyone with July I129f still waiting? We are July 31 and calling every week (today called too) and nothing still besides that both the I129f and I130 were touched on August 12, more than a month ago. :( I feel like everyone is already passing us up getting approved and we are still waiting for ours

I'm sorry to hear that! What do they mean by touched?

Well apparent after calling USCIS 10 minutes ago I found out my case was approved 9-11-19. No update yet on both website. Oh yeah! I’m beyond excited, 😁😁😁😁😁😁🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃😘. It’s been a gruesome, mentally exhausting and depressing months me and my wife have gone through with all the setbacks/delays with The Nebraska Center and it sure has its effects on our marriage . I can’t wait to get see the update online and get the Notice of approval letter. My wife will be so excited to find out this breaking news at break of dawn. Bye Bye Nebraska 🤞✌️✌️✌️✌️ Wish everyone else to get approvals soon for the September 2018 PDs and earlier as well that have yet to hear anything. Or try calling too to find out.

Did you just talk to the regular agent? I just called and they said no update. Similar NOA1 date as you.

    Hi,

Our i130 case was received August 16.2018 but we've heard nothing since.

Does anyone know what the processing times are Nebraska? any information is appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Matt & Hunter

It's about a year at the current moment. So not hearing anything for a huge chunk of time has been pretty norm for most people in this forum. I'm a Sept 13 filer and haven't heard anything since then either.

I just received a reply from my congressperson today, saying there’s nothing they can really do if I don’t meet expedite criteria :(

    What's the expedite criteria?

I got locked out today as well - it’s sad that we‘re all "desperate" enough we check movement on cases so much they think we’re over-searching lol

I try to mostly focus on other things, enjoy my time here in Germany with family and friends while I’m still here instead of with my husband, but I never last more than a couple days without checking USCIS’s page, or the app... and most days that I don’t, I still steal a glance at this forum to see if there’s been any updates 😅

(&& I’m a September filer... so still got ways to go)

I'm a September filer, too. Nothing was more disheartening than the update last month from 9 months to 13 months approval time. I hate that there's absolutely nothing I can do. Who knows if there's going to be another delay.
