  1. well, not really buffet but if it's near the airport..

the place that's really famous is DAMPA..

it's a place where there are lotsa seafood resto..

u get to choose your food and have them cook the way u want it..

I've been there a few times and it's indeed a good place to eat  .You can also buy your fresh choices of seafood from nearby stalls and have it cooked in one of the many restos there for a minimum fee.

  2. "Ang pag-aasawa ay di parang kaning isusubo na pwedeng iluwa kapag ikaw ay napaso." (It means : Marriage shouldn't be taken lightly. Marriage isn't like eating rice, spitting it out the moment you realize that it is very hot.)

I can understand people sharing how homesick they are, most of us doing that just want to share it and somehow pass the time with people who are going through the same and finding comfort in some who says it is normal and will just pass, being homesick and missing the Philippines do not equate to wanting to leave our partners behind... heck, if i do go back to PI, i would drag my husband with me..... What I don't understand though, is when people vent and tell about their partner's negativity instead of talking it out with their partner and trying to find resolution for it. VJ maybe a good place to vent but wouldn't it be better if personal marital problems and issues be discussed privately with your partner instead of venting it out for other people to feast on? Let's say your partner starts sharing all your negative traits (everybody has some because nobody is perfect) on vj or other forum also, how would you feel about it?

Just my 2 cents worth. God bless and Maligayang Pasko.

Very well said!!!  . Maligayang Pasko sa lahat!!! :star:

  4. Sorry to hear about what happened on her interview. I've heard too of that advice before going to the interview of not mentioning that one intends to work once you are in the US. I was asked about it by the CO but I honestly answered that I intend to eventually find work and help out my husband after I get settled and get my green card. She just nodded her head so I took it that she agreed with my answer. I hope they will eventually give your wife her visa after she accomplished the letter they want her to submit. Good luck!!!

does this mean she will be denied????

or should we say we are willing to postpone a child until i get my pay increases and she would work if she had too

I really don't know.I was just sharing to my personal experience during my interview.I think granting visa depends on the discretion of the CO.Some CO seem to be stingy in approving visas while others seem to be easy in giving one. I guess I was just lucky that the CO who asked me that question was thinking alongside with my answer. At least she wasn't denied outright. Maybe all you need to do is to accomplish the form and you have really nothing to worry about. I hope others who had similar experience will be able to help you out.

  6. Hello All,

My wife has an 10 AM appt at the embassy this morning (Phil time). Since it is a mid-morning appt, would it be better to show up around 8 or 9 so she and the children don't have to sit for so long? It's been such a long wait,,I really hope and pray we don't have anymore delays.

It's okay for your wife to arrive at 8 or 9am.The guards will be letting in first anyway those who have their appointment earlier than your wife and kids.Good luck!!!

  7. Are you talking about your visa already or passport?I was made to sign twice during my medical because there was a little variation from the signature in my passport and my signature on their medical form. I think SLEC just want to make sure that your signature jibes with the one in your passport. It was not an issue during my interview.Good luck
