  1. Quick update.  I had my N400 interview today. The entire process was very smooth thanks to a friendly officer.  I was 30 minutes early and was immediately called in.  After the oath, they verify name, address, DOB etc and then she proceed to take the civics test, Reading and Writing all of which takes about 10 minutes.  Then she proceeded to review the N400 application details and the main yes/no questions.

The whole process took about 20 minutes.  After, that she said she is going to recommend for approval and I should receive a letter once the oath ceremony is scheduled.  My online status changed after an hour to "Oath Ceremony will be scheduled" .  Now the wait begins for the Oath ceremony but the officer said that it should be within the next 30 to 60 days.  Thanks.

N400 Filed 08/23 (online)  (Local office is KC)

    Finger printing notice received 08/24

Finger printing completed at local office: 09/09

Interview Scheduled for 10/30 (Interview notice sent on 09/19)

Do we know if the interviews will not be scheduled prior to completing 5 years?  Daughter did finger printing same day as my wife and I but her interview has not been scheduled yet where my wife and I have it scheduled for 10/30 and 10/31.  Daughter completes 5 years on 11/19 and so may be the KC office is not scheduling interviews for 11/19 or later just yet.

Kansas City field office the fastest field office not like mine the waiting time keep getting worse in Minneapolis field office  (14-27.5) months some people wait 2 years to receive the interview notice.

Agreed. KC is relatively faster though not much data is available.  Average timeframe from N400 to Oath is about 6 to 9 months I think.

Thanks for the quick response.  Yes, I saw that.  I had a friend who got the process from application to oath completed in 3 months end of last year.  I was looking for experiences with recent interviews in KC and any recent timeline experiences from the forum users from KC.  Thanks again.
