Not sure what you mean by "how to deal with this situation," but if she is flagged as needing an interview for a B visa renewal, there is nothing to be done on your end. She will need to book one of the available appointments if she wants a visa.
probably I couldn't explain it well. I'm asking if US embassy in Cairo is no longer waive the in person interview for people who meet the exemption criteria.

My mother is reapplying for B visa that expired just few months ago. She meets all criteria to renew her visa via mail, but she was prompted to schedule an interview. She is re-applying online for B1/B2 visa at US embassy in Cairo.
just wondering if anyone has similar experience recently and I'd appreciate any idea about how to deal with this situation since there is no interviews available until May 2022.
Thank you,

She can not enter on a non-immigrant visa with the intent to adjust her status - that is fraud. Make sure you have a plan for providing health care for your mother once she immigrates.
Thank you for the information, so her visit and petition for her are completely separate process, aren't they?!

She cannot use a nonimmigrant entry with a preconceived plan to circumvent the immigration process.
You will start by petitioning for her using the i130 and she will interview abroad. Takes about a year
Now, what should I do to start petition for her? Just I130 form and birth certificate with here name on it, I guess.

Is she here right now?
She is planning to visit as soon as next month. So I'm thinking to wait until she is here to start, just wanted to get heads up.

I'm US citizen and wanted to start petition for my mother who has valid US B visa and she has been here several times. I was told that I can apply for GC and AOS at the same time while she is here in the USA. I'm new here and totally lost , I don't even know from where I should start. I'd like to thank you all in advance.

So she is currently in the US right now? If yes, and you're a US citizen, you can apply the I-130 and AOS at the same time.
Thank you so much !!

Thanks, we'll get there! It is all about patience. If being with her *soon* is important, consider that this is such a long process. You will go through so much during your time apart. There will be many times you question if this is the right path. Only you know that, or will, ultimately. Just keep your wits about you.
yeah, I know it is not easy. You know I wish if I can move to where she is.

In hindsight, we would have fared easier with the CR1. We are still trying to get Andy's GC and it doesn't seem like his interview is coming any time soon.
Heed our warning: MEET FIRST. Plan later!!!!
Thanks for the advice and hope everything getting shiner for you very soon!

We went for the spousal visa because for me it is very important that I am able to work and be a LPR as soon as I am in The States or I will lose my mind.. I think it depends on the situation and priorities of the couple.
But.... We got married 1,5 years and 10 trips after we met. As stated before, start your relationship first and see how you get along in real life and then start thinking about the next steps.. Let the relationship evolve naturally. Would you propose to somebody in your own country as quickly as that? I know that it is so difficult to not be able to be with the person you are in love with all the time, my (now) husband and I have been apart for 3 years, but marriage and the financial commitment that the USC has to give are things to take very seriously...
Thank you so much!

And if time is an important factor for you, then I'm not sure why you're even bothering with immigration 😛 Immigration takes a LOT OF TIME.
So helpful, thanks .

Why does a K-1 make more sense?
LOL, I'm asking. You tell me if it does.

Meet first and then wonder what kind of visa is going to suit you.
I totally agree, but just wanted to get a heads up. Time factor is very important to me, so I don't want to end up with rejection. I believe I won't be able to have joint ownership with her until she is here, will I?!

Hi all, I have met my beautiful half online. I’m gonna see her in person soon for the first time. We both don’t doubt that everything is gonna go well. So, we are little confused about what visa we should apply for. We wanna get married and apply for CR1, but my concern is that we would not be able to provide enough Evidence of a Bonifide Marriage since we don’t have any joint ownership or property yet. I’m planning to visit her every now and then till she gets her visa whenever I’m able to get vacation maybe every 3 to 4 months. I’m just wondering if that will be enough to have our case approved or should we go for K1 visa since it makes more sense in this situation?
Amending tax return
in Tax & Finances During US Immigration
Posted
Hello Everyone,
I was forced to file 2020 tax as MFS, since my spouse did not have either Itin or SSN. Now she got SSN and I'd like to amend my 2020 tax return that has been already accepted to change filing status to MFJ.
I'm working on 1040X form. Also, I Wondering if we get the missing stimulus payments we missed in 2020? If so how can we do that?
Your comments and advices would be highly appreciated.
Thank you,
