    Morning VJ Family,

I picked up my Visa just now.

This is a clip of how it looks and the proclamation equally waived.

Update tonight. God bless you all for your kind words and wishes.

    Regards,

I guess to check my travel history.

Congratulations sis. I am happy for you. May it end well for us too. Eagerly waiting to read about your experience at the consulate. I wish you all the best.

Oh ok..your case "Final Action" PD is not current yet then, its at "1 July 06" now so its not worry time just yet.

    U know there are basically 2 charts A & B for our family-based category on the bulletin;

Chart A. "FINAL ACTION DATES FOR FAMILY-SPONSORED PREFERENCE CASES"  is where u want to pay more attention. The petition will not have a visa number until your PD hits.

Chart B. "DATES FOR FILING FAMILY-SPONSORED VISA APPLICATIONS" is actually for the whole nvc fees pmt and documentation phase, then they'll still hold until your PD in "Chart A" is current.

And you guys are quick and lucky to have attained DQ now.

I hope this helped illuminate your concerns.

Yes very much. Thanks for explaining, i understand it better now. God bless you.

    Oh that could be..

Its quite annoying especially after so many years in nvc waiting.

However do confirm yourself from the current visa bulletin(March)..here

    Cheers..

Thank you so much. I just checked, her PD September 06 is still current. Wondering what could be the reason for the delay then if PD is current? Its been over 60 days now. ☹️☹️☹️☹️

Hi guys, I'm new on this thread. My family will be having our interview on Monday and I will leave you to guess how we feel right now. But the question I really wanted to ask is this, I called the Embassy customer care lines at least twice since the ban was announced on the 31st and both times they said we shouldn't worry and that we should just attend our interviews yada yada yada. I wonder if it makes any sense to continue to string people along or 'manage' people that have spent so much time, emotions and resources over a process that exists by law and which just got torpedoed over a whim? Forgive me for this, but I'm really finding it difficult to wrap my head around that. So what happens to all the money spent if this happens? Also will there be legal grounds for redress or compensation? Sorry if this sounds extreme but shouldn't we also think ahead of the curb? #JustAsking

I can imagine how you feel right now. It's so sad and frustrating this is happening after years of waiting. I wish you and your family all the best at your interview on Monday. Pls keep us posted on how it goes.

  5. My documents both financial and civil are showing "accepted" but NVC sent me a message to upload some of the already accepted documents again. I do not undestand how to go about this, am i to delete the previous accepted docs and re-upload it again or what? Or is this a form of delay on my case since my country Nigeria is amongst the newly banned countries on immigration? Pls, i would appreciate your responses so as to know the steps to take in going about this. Thank you.

  6. Please, my country Nigeria has just been named alongside 4 other countries on Immigrant Visa Ban category. I am so worried right now as i don't know if this would affect my case that is already with NVC?

My sister (USC) filed (2005) for me and my 2 younger ones (F4). We got the NVC letter May 2019 that visa is now available for us, and we have been on it since then. I have also submitted my documents to NVC waiting to be documentarily qualified. My younger brother got his visa already, remaining me and my younger sister.

Please would this immigrant visa ban affect cases that are already in process at the NVC?

Thank you as i await your responses.

  7. Please house, i just discovered that there is "Place of Birth" error on my passport (although same country but different city) And i already sent copies of my civil documents to nvc before i discovered this error, all my other documents have my correct city of birth except my passport. Pls is this something i should worry about? Can this in any way affect my IV? Pls what can i do at this stage? I would appreciate your kind and useful responses. Thank you.

  8. Yes it was approved long time ago and sent to National Visa Center in Portsmouth NH.

I got a letter in 2009 from the NVC that Visa was not available to me at that time because of the back log of applications before mine. So i was given a priority date which is September 26th 2006.

Now my priority date is current, according to the visa bulletin of May 2019 but i am yet to be contacted regarding same.

  9. I think my priority date might be current. The chart in the visa bulletin for May 2019 shows for F4 - 1st October 2006. My priority date is 26th September 2006. Does that mean i would be contacted anytime from now? Because NVC has not contacted me yet. If my date is current and i have not gotten any notice from NVC, what should i do please?

Also my sister filed for me and my 2 junior sisters in 2006. But now, i am married with two kids, how do i notify the NVC about these changes in my status? What documents do i need to send to them regarding my husband and children? Thank you as i await your responses.
